Cretian cucumber-melons

Another grower shared this Crecian cucumber-melon variety with me several years ago and I finally got around to growing it. As Greece is very near Italy, it is very likely that this Cucumis melo var. chate cultivar, which looks very much like the Mezzo Lungo Polignano, has the same ancestory as other carosello cucumber-melons. I am growing some fruit in both my greenhouse and the "girl's garden" to seed.

I can't remember if I did or not, but if they taste like the Mezzo Lungo di Polignano, then they'll be pretty good.
