Talking Tondo di Manduria in the Fertile Garden

In stark contrast to my field-grown caroselli, which are being bombarded by waves of cucumber beetles, the Carosello Tondo di Manduria (Mandurian Round) is thriving in the fertile garden. While putting up tomato cages, I was admiring the bounty of the female flowers so much, that I felt to share the experience with others. While I love to describe the characteristics of this particular carosello variety and why I am growing it, my love for these cucumber-melons involves much more. The ease of growth, beauty, adaptability, bountiful harvest, fruit flavor and texture are all reasons why I love growing Carosello cucumbers.
