    Dave, if you swapped schedules for Florida and Miami. What would your predication be for those two programs in terms of win loss record?
    I think the Vegas lines would be exactly the same as where they are right now.
    Fla would have a 9.5 to win line with Miami’s schedule and Miami 5.5 with Fla’s.
    What I’d also say is, no way Fla would be 12-13 the past two years playing Miami’s schedule

    • @notusedexer
      @notusedexer 9 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@tim81strachan I think the only reason people say Dan left the Gators in a bad situation is because Napier can't coach and didn't try. If we had a decent coach who knew it was win or be fired, that coach could have won. Spurrier didn't come to the Gators and say we need to rebuild. But Napier tanked his first two seasons because he was guaranteed at least three seasons. I mean there's no excuse for the poor, awful, crazy coaching those first two years. How can you not win six games? At Florida, it takes effort not to win six games. If Napier had put forth effort to winning, we might had had the #1 recruiting class this year.

    Dave, you know 80% of Gators Twitter and most podcasters would justify losing at home to a UCF team that was 7-6 last year with a much easier big 12 schedule.
    I don’t want to hear any crap about KJ because I sat through hearing how Mertz couldn’t throw more than 20% of his completions beyond 5 yards because it was “first year in the system” last year.
    Losing to Kentucky and being 0-3 against them should be a fireable offense at UF. How can they get new OC’s each year and destroy us, but we say it takes 5 years to be competent. It’s ridiculous how other teams UF fans expect to be great immediately, but the greatest coach in UF history (according to 90% of twitter) is supposed to get an extension if he goes 7-5. Make it make sense

  • @barrone71
    @barrone71 8 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

    I think Braden Gall is completely off with his Kirby and Meyer analogy as well as what would happen IF Napier was fired after this season.
    (1) Napier was hired and is operating in the NIL, Portal and instant eligibility era.
    (2) Todays NIL, Portal and Instant eligibility were not in place when Kirby and Urban were hired.
    (3) GA and FLA had far more talent when Urban and Kirby were hired compared to Napier and once more, there couldn’t be a mass exodus of players from those programs like today bc of a coaching change.
    (4) IF Napier is fired after the 2024 season. The next HC of Fla would not inherit a plethora of talent as majority of this roster would hit the portal and recruits committed for the 25 class would also de commit
    Whether one feels Napier should be fired or not after the 2024 season is a different topic.
    But Braden’s analogies are poor and his statement of what Fla post Napier would look like isn’t accurate.

      Well in the long run losing to either Kentucky and/or Tennessee means nothing at this stage compared to losing to Miami in the Swamp… Just in terms of this in State rivalry and its recruitment purposes… Not too mention that Tennessee ain’t all that if they lost to a 5-7 Florida… The first 7 games in which 5 are at home are winnable to keep hearing on and on about the schedule… yet that’s why the first game is pivotal to start the momentum…
