A lot of people aren’t considering how many of the teams Florida faces this year are in just as big of transition as they are. LSU, FSU, Miami, UCF, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Kentucky, and Mississippi State are all teams that have lost MAJOR consistency in personnel from last year, and the majority of those teams have to face Florida in Gainesville in a Top 5 Home Field advantage in CFB. And on top of this, Florida has lit up the offseason with the perfect moves to add promising depth and starting talent at their weakest positions. Not to say they can but I wouldn’t be shocked if Florida wins 8 or 9 games and gets real close to that 12th seed berth. Don’t sleep on the Gators.
The talent isn't what people are worried about. It's the management of said talent, which Napier does not have a good track record of doing. Pair that with predictable play calling, and we will have a losing season again. He'll be gone before next season.

What most fail to realize is McElwain although was a terrible coach brought in some really great talent and was a good evaluator of talent. Mullen was able to capitalize on it because he is a genius when it comes to offensive play calling and that’s why he had the level of success he did. However Mullen couldn’t recruit for anything and as more of McElwains talent left the wheels started falling off. Billy has had to come in and rebuild not only the roster but all the other aspects where Florida was extremely behind. I’m not sure if Billy will work out but he has proven he can recruit and his ability to evaluate talent. Also having a returning proven QB will be a tremendous help.
Billy is more akin to muschamp who took over a broken program.. will is an excellent recruiter and ethics guy but a terrible HC. Billy took over a broken program with less talent than will and no culture of accountability. Im no fan of billy but he is a better overall coach than the previous guy.
