Javi is one of those players that can lose a vital set and still put a smile on his face knowing he played a hell of a game. He has very good sportsmanship and he's a nice guy, which is why Javi is one of the players I respect the most.
How does he play like that? Watched this set and other sets with him and I just don't understand how the way he presses the buttons like that translates into everything anyone using the controller in the traditional manner would be capable of o_O
Its called the claw. I know a few Halo players use that method and I understand it as far as Halo goes. However im a noob in smash but love to play and watch it so i do not know the pros/cons of playing claw style. It works out for Javi though.
man, i can't stand the twins commentary. nothing personal, just they both have this monotonous voice and always state the obvious and don't really offer any insight into things like meta, strategy, matchups, etc... D1 and wobbles are the best imo
Javi's got such good sportsmanship we need more guys like him
I liked the sportsmanship between these two competitors.
javi is such a cool guy and a good player :) and axe on an insane level
2019 Mandela effect when you feel like Pikachus party hat didn't have the white ball on top

Axe adapted to Javi's jab strategy with CCs. Godlike.
Gimps, chaingrabs, spacing, zoning, and just plain skillz.
Prog's commentating has gotten really good.
All these years and you are still SPEAKING THE TRUTH?!
It's called 'Clawing', and a few players do it. Only name that comes to mind is Colbol right now, but I'm adamant that there are others.
Where can I go to tournaments?
i love how javi presses the buttons.
Just noticed how Javi plays with the controller. Pretty interesting.
man, great job in the tournament... i realy like your pikachu...
Did genesis 3 ever happen? Also if so why would you do it the week after Evo?
Would have liked to see Jorge, Javi's twin. I remember their videos from way back when. Jorge had a pretty good falco.
Javi's attitude rapes.
We need to see more of him.
Javi is such a good sport, bueno muchacho.
Apex 2012 Puff, Apex 2013 Pikachu.
Gah!?! How does axe button mash like that? .O.o
He got a jab before Axe attacked him, so it was still 0 to death
Playercam 2:15
Axe: Sex percent? Time to tap that A

... button.

Hype set. Love Axe, love Javi.
it must have been a little difficult to learn to hold the controler the way javi does. O_o
look at axe's hand when he jabs... its vibrating
This was Losers', so Javi was out right after this. You're thinking of Apex 2012. XD
its called "the claw"
hahaha it looked like they were having a nice-off at the end of the set

last stock on first game wasn't 0 to death. Javi got a jab in there before he died.
Match starts @ 1:54
Look at Axe's hands at 2:14 lol
They are both so cool
what?
this is apex 2013
axe got 9th, and javi got whatever is below that
JAvi is great, but honestly, how much experience do you think he has against characters like Pikachu and Puff. Next to none.
it seemed for me, javi was one of the best foxes on this tournement :)
javi holds his controller so weird
I don't think you're giving enough credit to the skill of the two players that beat javi. Axe and Hbox are forces to be reckoned with
Makes perfect
Impossible, how can Pikachu defeat Fox?
Dat Axe
dat 69% on the first stock.
Also, Axe beats pretty much every Fox.
Does anyone else play with 2 fingers and a thumb on top of the controller like Javi does?
Blunted_Object
Look at Javi's hands, he plays so weird
It feels like getting good at melee requires you to master an overwhelming amount of techniques.. and what's with this controller grip debate?
rip genesis
Aw yeah that 5:08
Pikachu OP.
Google Smashboards and create an account if you haven't already.
2:16 ... wut

5:05 o___o
Look at Axe bein' all cute.
5:08-5:20 FUUUUUUUCK
For real tho 2:15
