It’s actually semi-fun now; in the next couple updates they’re fixing some of the prog issues. Reboot should be easy to pick up as a returning player these days and get to mid to end game in 4-6 months of farming/grinding. Especially with hyper burning.

FINALLY, MY WISH WAS GRANTED! For those not in the know Shadowers also can prolong their dark sight. Normally it cancels when you attack, but when a Shadower is standing in either shadow veil or smokescreen their dark sight will not cancel when attacking! It only works for YOUR veil and smokescreen unfortunately though. Also smokescreen has a cheeky way of preventing SOME insta death and high damaging boss skills, such as CPaps Lazer fma, lotus p2 and p3s floor lazer, ect.
I will note that meso weaving can be a bit weird but once you get used to it, it's like second nature. I've been mailing shadows since before big bang so this makes me very happy.
Bandit's were my first choice back when I first started after Beta. They've stayed one of my mains since then and I'm so happy to see how much love they get. It's a fun class, engaging, with great survivability. You can't go wrong. However, the main question: cutters or daggers lol
This was my main before meso explosion had flying mesos. Also, back in my Scania days, I would use meso explosion to train at high level areas. I spent like 60mil (which was a lot pre-inflation) to get from lv 90-100 at the flying things in phantom forest. 😅

wow I used to go ham on the Cygnus Knights Explorer Hybrid thing and the bats combos with this bad boy so well free heal and mesos for the bomb is just a funny thing to see not sure how is it like in Maple SEA this days
I play because I used to main them back in 2009 in KMS. They were a bad class compared to other classes but despite all that, it was edgy and i now I play them out of feelings of attachment!
I absolutely hate the playstyle of Shadower. I tried to like it, and it was going to be my main for a while. I also know it's incredibly OP, but I just don't care. I just couldn't get into the gameplay of smack things until coins come out then hit a different skill to throw the coins again and again. I much prefer the classes which have one main attack button with skills that you hit when their cooldown is up every 20 seconds or 3 minutes. Hitting meso explosion again and again while moving around the map just feels terrible to me. Bossing feels terrible and clunky too. Yeah, I know you can just spam the skills without worrying about timing, but it's tiring for me and I hate it. If meso explosion triggered like Dawn Warrior's dark orbs when they're on auto I would probably main this class. As it is, I don't even have cosmetic items on it and it just sits on the character select screen. I can't even be bothered to do bosses or get daily symbols on it. As I played more and more Maplestory I found out that most of the SS Rank OP classes weren't worth the effort for me. I didn't enjoy most of them. If I picked them I would be treating Maplestory less like a fun activity and more like a job. So now I just play what I enjoy and ignore most tier lists.
Seems like we have similar taste in classes. I tried shadower too and quickly became annoyed by the whole meso explosion business. I'm also not a fan of classes that encourage you to animation cancel to get the best damage - just takes too much of my focus away from dodging boss mechanics. Thankfully I found out before I used my hyperburn on it. :)
As of now... the normal meso explosion and red meso explosion makes no difference. I wish that it is a toggle skill where if you use the red one, it will auto trigger and normal one wont. Having it auto trigger makes bossing much easier so you don't have to weave it between attacks.
I mean that's part of the class' identity though? If it were a simple class then it wouldn't justify being such a strong class. Same way most combo classes like Blaster and Cadena are insane when they are mastered
@Roflmao6173 I don't think removing the need to press a button makes it lose its identity. You still see and know that the coins are going off and exploding its just more frequent because now you don't have to press every second. I'd be fine making it so you can manually press it or it automatically does the attack after the max meso is out that way if you wanna be lazy you can be.
@@Roflmao6173 I think it's less that it's 'complex' and more that it's just annoying and unnecessary. They can make the class complex without adding keypresses that shouldn't be required. If you just do daily bosses or whatever it's probably acceptable, but if you're grinding for hours and hours it just becomes annoying. It's like saying if Dawn Warrior's orbs didn't have an auto function it would be a more complex class. I mean, sure, technically it would, but it would be more annoying for no real benefit to fun. 99% of people make it auto for a good reason.

Should Lara get 2min long summon timers while having the best map coverage to make it less annoying? Should NWs get shadower meso rates while bite farming? Certain things are just meant to be for innate game balancing, as with any other game out there, which is why Dawn Warriors are such a notable outlier right now because of how strong they are for how simple and effortless it is. If Shadowers were as weak as mechanics then I could see a basis for making meso explosion automatic, same way people are calling for mechanic missiles to be automatic.
@@gabbyk1391 nope. Shadower will lose its identify to nightlords if the mesos just flies around the map like mark of assassin. Shadowers identity was to always see the coins under the boss/mobs and triggering like a bomb. Hence the name mesos explosion. There isn’t a need to make two explorer thief’s having the same passive ability.
damn man, shadower is so fine-tuned. looks strong from what i see here but not broken. good class. he's much cooler than i thought he'd be. i really like these videos because they give more insight to the classes than 'here is the skill list and animations' types. they also double as a 'what class to main' series. i don't play anymore, never going to again, but i enjoy the everyone/no one plays series a lot. i'm patiently waiting for night walker. 9k legion, dang. 💪
Can we get a video on why no one plays Cannon Master? It is by far my favorite class in terms of gameplay and themes, it feels strong in everything, and you get barrels of monkeys, yet I always see it at the bottom of the popularity list. Does the Maplestory community just hate monkeys that much or am I missing something?

Meso weaving is easier to do now and honestly it’s damage without weaving is still insane, you could literally spam both attacks at the same time and not feel too much of a damage loss. I’m a shadower main so I’m comfy with meso weaving but I can tell you it’s not as important as you think for the early mid game.
Shadower has always been my main but the game is in such a bad state that its not worth coming back to Also I didnt really catch why shadower is being played beside an explanation about his kit, a year back when I played I havnt met many shadowers

I played Shad before it was "everyone plays Shadower". It was a unique aspect to play a class that was not played by many others

Ugh that assaulted was AMAZING. Jump off platforms while pressing it and it’ll teleport you to that platform with the mob. So good
