I do really miss skills only doing a line when it actually looked like it did damage. Boomerang step goes there and back so it really should only do 2 lines. It made savage blow stand out much more as a "stab the shit out of them" kind of skill.
@@splatypus7142 I get into this so much. I think one line with high number may look more powerful than multiple line in many cases but I do agree that multiple lines damage sound eargasm.
@@platedplatypus9932 I don't think that would even work. Hitting 6 lines instead of 2 is noticeable and a big deal. Hitting 10 and hitting 30 are both just seen as "a lot" of lines imo. When the line count gets high enough, the amount doesn't really matter anymore. All you can see is a large amount of lines coming out
I'd love to see a Bucc/Corsair throwback. Feels like some of the classes that changed a lot over time. Corsairs went from shooting cannons from a ship to summoning sea gulls and octopi to finally becoming a typical gunslinger. Buccs went from turning Super Saiyan to... having a Super Saiyan shoot behind you to finally becoming a sea serpent summoner.
cant believe he forgot to talk about trolling noobs that just started playing baiting them by first dropping a few coins for them to pick up and then dropping a sack just for them to explode it just before the noobs can pick it up and then quickly ccing so they dont get defamed
I wanna see an explorer mage. They changed A LOT Between f/p grinding via poison abuse on mobs 40 levels higher, cleric grinding via heal spam, and i/l having a fucking lightning spear
Super cool video and a HUGE blast from the past. I'd love to see F/P through the ages with how unbelievably horrible 2nd job was and how unbelievably broken 3rd job was. Great vid, as always!
Nothing compared to that feeling of getting poison mist and explosion after suffering through fire arrow and poison blob for all that time. Poison blob was still decent though, it allowed you to grind on monsters in their 80-90s while you were still 50.
Memory 1: Training at Himes with my CB friend. I was a Priest who'd tele heal and lure all mobs left to right while he stood there dropping mesos to explode once I got back, "1h" KO'ing everything, then rince and repeat! Memory 2: Few things that felt as cool as timing your jump + savage blow to jump over the monster while still hitting it, later on following up by dashing through it annihilating it with Assaulter! Also was weird they removed Band of Thieves, was just legit a great skill xD Didn't it require summoning stones as well in the earliest days, or am I confusing it with Shadow Partner (cuz that one needed stones 100% xD) EDIT: OH ALSO YES! MORE PLEASE! Great video :D
Ohh Bucc and Dark Knight would be excelent for a series like this I think. This video made me rather nostalgic for old maple, specifically because I miss assaulter so much, it had the most cool factor of anything in the game for me.
This was my first main. This reminded me of how cool i felt when i would combo a jumping Savage Blow over the mob then Assaulter back into the same mob. Totally dope! Great video! Please do more
I like the concept of this video and it would make for an interesting series, especially with Destiny now and Ignition coming soon! Maple nostalgia always hits just right 😊
YOOOOO!! Copper!!!! This kind of video is so good!!!!!!!! Super informative + nostalgia-inducing. 10/10 would watch and Like if you make more. Keep it up. Love from Myanmar.
The old day when Savage Blow hit 2, 4, then 6 times. Not to mention you couldn't even say the skill in-game because of censors LOL. Love this series. Shad gang *retreats to shadows*
My main, Buccaneer, had the most changes in the game I think and I remember them all. Buccaneer had the most active skills in the game and barely any buffs, also most of their skills had delays so you couldn't spam them and you were force to combo, on top of that you had crazy I.Frames and it was the only class that could become 100% invincible. Also a fun fact was that in EMS they released the Cygnus Knights before pirates so we had TB but not Buccaneer. Post BB they removed all delays and changed Barrage to always do the same % damage per line (It used to do double damage on the 5th lline and quadruple damage on the last one). Then we got some new skills like brawling mastery and such. Then we got a huge revamp changing the class, removing the transformation, and making Buccaneer more playable, Buccaneer did big damage numbers bat was slow attacking and in line story that can't fly. We got Octopunch, Buccaneer Blast and more. Red revamped the energy system making it a bit more barable. And finally another huge buff in the Destiny update. Edit: Also lets not forget the emotional rollercoaster that Super Transformation was, we got it then on the revamp they took it away but gave us a mount, then on 5th job we got it back but then on Destiny we lost it again.
Savage blow was so badass, the dissapointment as a kid when I accidentally chose assassin was so big. I figured, assassin? sneaky daggers? makes sense.
I'm really excited to see your video on corsairs, if you ever make it. The entire class was designated as the "weaker NL" and really struggled to find an identity in old maple. Seeing the transition from then until them being the God King of Summon classes, that'll be fun to watch.
I remember wanting Assaulter and Band of thieves so badly. The class just seemed so cool outside of their grinding. One of the cooler Third Jobs Pre Big bang along with DK for Spear crusher sweet 3 lines and Dragon Roar.
I main a shadower since 2005 and man oh man the shadower back then used to kick some ass and was so unique. Now it's a lot more mobile and strong as hell and I'm loving every moment of it.
My buddy (Hermit) and I (Chief Bandit) used to kill bigfoot together pre-bb. I'd give him mesos. He would stand in dark sight and drop them. I'd run back and forth and blow them up. Killed that thing massively under leveled. Pre big bang cheese will never be replaced.
Btw. Meso explosion actually used to deal magic damage, which was pretty useful against bosses that had physical damage block(cht, arkarium snake minions to name a few)
Back then Steal did drop items, used it in on King Pepe to get 2 job/equip boxes to drop. Was also my 1st class to go lowDEX (Pepe gear only) till I could use a Maple dagger.
If your gona do another one of these I think you gotta do Dark Knight or Bishop. These are awesome. Honestly just make it a series and do all the explorers. Original Corsair would be fun to when they use to ride the little boat.
Is there a good archive source for digging up old patch notes to see which versions implemented each of these skill changes? The big updates/changes are obvious but there is some grey area like between Big Bang and chaos/tempest for when chief bandit got shadow partner or flash jump etc, or when they lost band of thieves skill
PLEASE do a Bishop one. It was my first character like 20 years ago, and was the first I got to 200. Such a massive pain to play in the pre Big Bang days
I really wish the used the kanji with slashing/stabbing in their main bossing skill in Destiny. Looks more like than explosion than a bunch of dagger slashes or stabs like you'd expect for a Shadower
Do hero, cause pre Big Bang was a nightmare to grind, using the same first job attack as your main mobbing skill until brandish at 120 and they just got better over time
My second main is a dual blade that used to be a chief bandit. Yes, back when BoT was the shit and assaulter was used to wooo the noobs. I grinded out @ the Mansion, the horse things, then jesters, then at windraiders. Since I have high ping once weaving became a thing my shad became inviable. Had to hop to DB. I just teraburned another shad, I might throw some funding into it once I fully test out if ping doesn't fuck me over again.
I would do anything to get back the original savage blow. It would be cool if maplestory re-released old skills as like legacy skills or something. They don't even have to be viable, it would just be fun. Also, they should let you reskin flash jump to the original animation.
I still remember magic claw as I mainly played a mage back then. I still remember when the heros started coming out Evan was the hottest shit. Took me years to reread Eragon and find where they actually got that name. I knew it was a reference but not how direct. Funny enough. My name too =D I've always found that funny and they were my highest class when they still got skills every 10 levels.
Hi I´m debating if I should come back to Maplestory and play EU Reboot, is it worth it? I'm willing to play like 1-2 hours a day probably. I used to play and watching ur videos make me want to come back. Would you say Maplestory in 2022 is worth it? Love ur vids!
Fun fact the original shadower was the worst case of hackers in maple history. Using a packet editor you could make it so you gained meso cap by getting hit by mobs when meso guard was active.
I love how in early MapleStory, Savage Blow's number of attacks was insane, but nowadays it's just another skill.
They would need to make Savage Blow hit for 30 lines, albeit with weaker damage scaling, just to get back that 'oomhpf' factor.
All you can see is a large amount of lines coming out
It was so hard to level that on average it did such low damage and only hit one monster.
I love that old savage blow animation, the whole reason I made a bandit back in the day.
Same!!! I saw someone use that skill and I was so pumped to do it myself. It looked soooo beautiful back then
Faacccts
I'd love to see a Bucc/Corsair throwback. Feels like some of the classes that changed a lot over time.

They changed A LOT
Between f/p grinding via poison abuse on mobs 40 levels higher, cleric grinding via heal spam, and i/l having a fucking lightning spear
chief bandit gms scania good times :(
Super cool video and a HUGE blast from the past.
I love poison brace (2nd job) training though
I also loved poison training at death teddies lv 45+.
Band of thieves was the coolest mobbing skill at the time. Random ninjas appear, attack, then disappear again.
My favorite character page, with our phantom like threaten skill and then our Elemental combos or even dragón knights lol so much nostalgia
1:26 READ THE SMEGAS LMFAO

This video made me rather nostalgic for old maple, specifically because I miss assaulter so much, it had the most cool factor of anything in the game for me.
Dark knight changed so much. It even changed the title Dragon Knight xD
I remember that there were distinct differences between PA and Spear DKs
The main thing I remember about Shadower before Destiny was the super loud Assassinate 3rd strike haha
This was my first main. This reminded me of how cool i felt when i would combo a jumping Savage Blow over the mob then Assaulter back into the same mob. Totally dope! Great video! Please do more
I think seeing old school Warrior/Spearman/Dragon Knights would be cool.
I like the concept of this video and it would make for an interesting series, especially with Destiny now and Ignition coming soon! Maple nostalgia always hits just right 😊
I love the old assassinate... Sharp and shock!
Love your content Coppersan. I haven’t touched Maplestory since around 2010, yet your videos are my crippling TH-cam addiction. Keep being awesome.
YOOOOO!! Copper!!!! This kind of video is so good!!!!!!!! Super informative + nostalgia-inducing. 10/10 would watch and Like if you make more. Keep it up. Love from Myanmar.
I miss the days when attacks did the same number of lines that was visibly seen in the animation.
And when you could actually see your character
I was really hoping for a return of band of thieves on the revamp but they didnt do it.
The mobbing trickblade version is kinda the ‘’new’’ band of thieves. But I get what you mean, that skill was one of my fav for sure.
mobbing attack on trickblade and slash shadow formation are kind of band of thieves-ish.
The old day when Savage Blow hit 2, 4, then 6 times. Not to mention you couldn't even say the skill in-game because of censors LOL. Love this series. Shad gang *retreats to shadows*
Mannnnn i miss MS ;'( plz take me back to 2007 :( 😞
TBH I think the pre big bang aesthetics and skills of the shadower looked WAY cooler than they do now
I like current shadower aethetics but I do sorely miss gold boomerang step
good video coppersan
Love these kinds of videos!
Please do Bishop next! I used to main it so much back in the day, and seeing how much it's changed now is amazing
OG Savage Blow still the GOAT
My main, Buccaneer, had the most changes in the game I think and I remember them all.

More videos like this!! Love the nostalgia MapleStory, was its golden age
Great content!
Savage blow was so badass, the dissapointment as a kid when I accidentally chose assassin was so big. I figured, assassin? sneaky daggers? makes sense.

Ahem. Lara.
nice video, will be nice to see any explorer class changes over the years because they got revamped the most.
I remember wanting Assaulter and Band of thieves so badly. The class just seemed so cool outside of their grinding.
One of the cooler Third Jobs Pre Big bang along with DK for Spear crusher sweet 3 lines and Dragon Roar.
Wow shadowers got flash jump and SP back in 2012?! I think I quit in 2010ish
this video was AWESOMEEEE can't wait until you review other classes!
I remember washing hp for my shadower
really love this, hope you can do it for all the classes
Wow this is so nostalgic
I love this new content series! Please do archers! I always loved their bomb arrows lol
Honestly love the Evolution of class video as a series, should make em for all classes! 2023 ;D
I main a shadower since 2005 and man oh man the shadower back then used to kick some ass and was so unique. Now it's a lot more mobile and strong as hell and I'm loving every moment of it.

It would be cool to see how the explorer warriors have changed (removal of the dragon one and adding hero, for example) :)
My true love's always been the bowmaster but any throwback video for them would just be someone crying despondently for five years.
Btw. Meso explosion actually used to deal magic damage, which was pretty useful against bosses that had physical damage block(cht, arkarium snake minions to name a few)
This would be a really fun series to watch for classes that changed over time 👍🏻
You gotta go through spearman and check out though old Dragon Knight skills compared to our current Dark Knight
Nothing beats the old look of the OG skills, each job was unique and an art style you couldn’t find anywhere else
id like very much of a video like this but for dual blades. Its a class that changed a lot but maintained its personality
Seeing the old level up animation is so crazy, man
Back then Steal did drop items, used it in on King Pepe to get 2 job/equip boxes to drop. Was also my 1st class to go lowDEX (Pepe gear only) till I could use a Maple dagger.
Pre-Destiny shad is best shad. If only you could easily weave ME.
If your gona do another one of these I think you gotta do Dark Knight or Bishop. These are awesome. Honestly just make it a series and do all the explorers. Original Corsair would be fun to when they use to ride the little boat.
leveling from 30 to 70 in pre-bigbang only with selvage blow was bone, I miss it
I feel like Buccs have had a huge identity shift
Is there a good archive source for digging up old patch notes to see which versions implemented each of these skill changes? The big updates/changes are obvious but there is some grey area like between Big Bang and chaos/tempest for when chief bandit got shadow partner or flash jump etc, or when they lost band of thieves skill
Great throwback! Would have seeing the Bowmaster timeline
Grinding with arrow rain and the 4 arrow skill in aqua road
PLEASE do a Bishop one. It was my first character like 20 years ago, and was the first I got to 200. Such a massive pain to play in the pre Big Bang days
I really wish the used the kanji with slashing/stabbing in their main bossing skill in Destiny. Looks more like than explosion than a bunch of dagger slashes or stabs like you'd expect for a Shadower
I remember my Bandit → Chief Bandit back then, it was my main and now I kinda wanna go back and remake this gaha
Do hero, cause pre Big Bang was a nightmare to grind, using the same first job attack as your main mobbing skill until brandish at 120 and they just got better over time
Please do a dark knight evolution I remember hunting mushrooms outside Henesys left portal and they were the ONLY class with a screen wipe
Think if you went back in time and told maplers that one day you could go from lv1 to lv100 in less than a hr 😂
Hearing the version I was most familiar with was FROM 2013 to 2022 makes me feel way too old ..
Please about my Fav class Buccaneer !!! Really nice Video Bro enjoyed IT alot
Love these videos
I would do anything to get back the original savage blow. It would be cool if maplestory re-released old skills as like legacy skills or something. They don't even have to be viable, it would just be fun. Also, they should let you reskin flash jump to the original animation.
@Coppersan any chance you have an oldskool Page banger video?

o ja de ouwde dagen!! zo lang geleden maar goeie herinderingen.
The orbs were the reason I played a shadower . Kinda sad that they removed it haha.
I really miss the old day where we ALL Party Quest a lot now in this Generation it all Single Player
i really hope nexon releases a classic server, like WoW
Please do a hyper skill guide for all class
I would love to see the now extinct dragon knight, I only made a spearman to have one and they got revamped :C
Totally unrelated. But can someone help me out with bossing? How do I even get to the bosses. I’m trying to do Zakum
Very Nice! Can you do this with other jobs? I barely remember old evan
can u put clothes on on different chars in the same world like reboot. if yes can u tell me how
can you do wind archer next?
Hi I´m debating if I should come back to Maplestory and play EU Reboot, is it worth it? I'm willing to play like 1-2 hours a day probably. I used to play and watching ur videos make me want to come back. Would you say Maplestory in 2022 is worth it? Love ur vids!
Any tips copperpro? 🤩
Yes, reboot servers are lively.
De pinga what class would you recommend? I made a pally but I like faster burst/ a bit survivability I found out, can’t choose :(
band of thieves and assaulter was my favorite LOl
I want an oldschool maple server so bad
I miss Band of Thieves and Assaulter sm 😢
Can you cover Paladin? :D
Wait wait wait it can now auto used meso explosion after every crit? Or did i get confused by what he said?
Flip of the coin is now used automatically after every crit! (When toggled on)
want talk about dragon knight and how it transitioned to berserker
maybe ice/lightning or a class that got a lot of revamps?
Please do Buccaneer next!
Night lord the most used in those old days
This video makes me tear up kinda..
Do all the explorer classes
Cleric for sure!!
my first class in 2008 and my main in 2022
Fun fact the original shadower was the worst case of hackers in maple history. Using a packet editor you could make it so you gained meso cap by getting hit by mobs when meso guard was active.
Please do this for all explorers
I miss the old shadower, but i dont think i would play with him nowadays anymore hahahahahha
ahh yes the shadower. STR SHADOWER FTW!!!
The legendary dragon knight
Shad's a Chad nowadays
