@skanksu Buff Freezers effect is becoming a permanent passive effect of the game so we get all the benefits without the requirement of buying perishable items.

Total beginner here, why does everyone want Runes of Darkness and what is the significance of Elite monsters? I've seen a few of them but I didn't know they were anything special
Elites give significantly more EXP than a regular mob and are often needed for events (killing X amount of elites), some are even needed for monster collection.

On point #9, how do players force runes to spawn, and why do they chase Darkness runes?
You can only really influence them to spawn by entering a map nobody is in and being in it/killing mobs to get one to spawn.
Darkness forces 3 Elites to spawn and many monster collections require specific elites as well as events often have killing elites as an objective. Outside of those reasons elites are also just EXP pinatas so they're good for that too.

Exactly! Permanent buff freezer effect on every character, it's really a HUGE QoL change.

Recording yourself regardless of making content with it can help you recognize problems with your speech habits. I wish I could say it translated well to my everyday speaking but at least it helps with recording.
@@RathGMS Doing that sometimes, like a voice diary. It helps to organize the thoughts, but I doubt it will lead me to be as good as you are one day. You're very awesome at that just so you know.

WHAT?! okay i didn't know that elites spawn after mob count, thought it's pure rng with 5 minutes cooldown after killing one on a map
It's not an exact mob count but there is an estimated minimum 3 minute cooldown between them and some requirement of mobs killed/increased chance per mob killed. As with most things in Maple we'll never truly know the real data but you will notice more elites if you go with the channel swapping method.
People always forget to include the alliance quest that literally gives you a beginner passive with free stats.
Only reason I didn't include it but included something like Afterlands is because getting Afterlands is the same for every class and I know that Will of the Alliance is a little bit different for each class group. So I really just don't feel qualified to try to summarize it in 30s-1m at most to fit in a video like this.
But it is a great lesser known thing for free stats!

Shame that some of these tips will become obsolete i few months, or so I've heard. Thought they mentioned getting rid of Zakum leveling in Late Aug/Early Sept
Some yeah. I'm not entirely sure if it's Zakum EXP or just the "Zakum tech" of killing the arms and coming back. With the removal of the 30 minute boss cooldown the second option makes sense.

I actually LOVE the class and the idea. But boy does it feel awful to play these days. It was my first class when Reboot was created. So now my OG name is stuck on it. lol

Their identity of stealing skills to make their own kit is one of my favorite ideas in games. As an oldschool Stalker main in Ragnarok Online I was overjoyed when Phantom released in Maple.

I'm glad you enjoy it! Been playing Maple basically the entire 20 years it's been around with breaks off and on so this is something I've wanted to do for a veeeery long time. Especially since MapleStory is the whole reason I knew TH-cam even existed.
what is that green highlight of your chars? is it like a skin or effect or something?
It's an option they added somewhat recently, it has its moments of being useful especially if you play with max FX on during bosses like myself.
It's under Options > Laboratory > Check the box then alter the settings

I'm glad so many people are enjoying it, it'll never get as many potential viewers as Genshin but MapleStory has always been in my life and one of my favorite games!
You're right about the lower potential views than genshin, but I think you could definitely become one of the bigger maple creators with the amount of polish your videos have and your editing style

Where did you get a black bandana in reboot?
So it's a bit tedious. It drops for beginner-type characters (heroes before aran, resistance, beginner, cygnus knight etc) from low level mobs (I use Rien)
You have 2 options. First, farm it as a beginner on a new character, you can level beyond 10 if you need to.
Second, party with someone on a beginner (alt account or very generous friend) and have it drop, let it sit on the ground til it becomes free for all loot and loot it on your main.
It's a "rare" drop so it can take a while. I've gone up to a couple hours before.

Within the month of August (don't know the exact date) Buff Freezers will be made a permanent passive effect as well as many other QoL changes.

Subscribed! Content like this is amazing as someone that played back in the day but hasn’t been around for all these updates and systems. Played a bit last summer during burning, and same thing now. Really rounded out my knowledge of the game with this one!
