I'm from Boston, and I had the pleasure of helping Kevin with his Boston accent when he was filming a scene back in the early 1980's. We were having pizza in Harvard Square in Cambridge ( which is really where I'm from), and he was just the nicest guy you could ever want to meet! Hey Kevin....
@@carmendebenedictis-larue6250 I know where the Longy school is. I actually grew up in the projects in N. Cambridge. I used to play football in the Commons. Walked through Harvard Yard to get to high school every morning. Great memories. Nice to talk to someone from th he old neighborhood. Did you know that they finally closed Nini's Corner store?
Your so Freekin Lucky!! And I totally believe you.. In all of the talk shows I have seen Kevin in, he seems like just the nicest, down to Earth guy.. Fame hasn't gotten to his head like so many others.. Thank God!
Man their conversation never lost its groove. Every interview on any talk show always has a couple of awkward back and forth moments but these two just went at it and it was so good.
First time I visited Boston was on a business trip with my boss. We were ten minutes out of the airport at a stop light, and there was a Red Socks fan arguing with a Yankee fan ten feet from the car. It was surreal.
I am originally from NY (could not care less about baseball), and when I lived in Boston I used to wear a yankees beanie when I shoveled snow just to upset my neighbor. We were actually on very good terms, but he'd get so pissed every time I did it, which is precisely why I kept doing it :D
Kevin Bacon is so good as a Boston FBI agent that i once watched a clip of that Boston marathon bombing movie with him just coming in and reviewing the bomb site, and decided to watch the full movie then and there. He was amazing in Mystic River too. Both very understated performances but he shines through.
I’m from The north end and I meet people from the suburbs who talk with the accent and I just get confused like kid why are you putting on an accent you look dumb just speak normal 😂
He should. He definitely has Philly pride. His father was a city planner of sorts (I forget his actual position) and had a huge part in revitalizing, marketing and beautifying the city. People who haven't seen it might balk at it but I live in Philly and have seen the changes first hand.
Every hollywood Boston accent Is absolutely nauseating. They try and sound like Ted Kennedy 😒... haha 😄 the departed, Martin sheens accent was a bad Kennedy impersonation.. at least Nicholson didn't even a attempt a lame impression of Boston. U wanna hear a real authentic accent, go to worcester Massachusetts, or shall I say "wistahhh!!"
I saw "Hoffa" on network tv; apparently he liked to call people cocksuckers a lot. It was so silly he was calling people cork pluckers and corn shuckers and all sorts of goofiness. Pretty funny actually.
I did some photo work for a client in PA. I didn’t know they had an accent until I heard Bacon do this impression, and it sounded EXACTLY like my client lol
I always remember the movie Flatliners everytime I see him. He made an impression on me with that one. I haven't seen Footloose, though. I always thought it was a Travolta's movie till I recently deduced they are probably two different movies.
My older brother talks a lot different than I do. Growing up in Boston I played football but he didn't. Something about playing football for six years gave me a Boston accent and the ability to act tough and intimate people. He didn't learn that. So if you want to learn a tough guy accent, put on a helmet and some pads.
There's a lot of shows that are or were set in Philly. Boy Meets World, Cold Case, The Goldbergs, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia just to name a few.
@@epicon6 OMG REALLY? THANK YOU SO MUCH I wish to dedicate this prize to all you lifeless youtuber viewers out there that read the comments for some crazy reason. YES! 5 000 000th Such an honor
Conan almost told the audience to check their TV guides and caught himself but full disclosure, I did NOT catch that, didn't dawn on me at all what an outdated reference it is until he pointed it out lol
I write replacement dialogues/ADR for localized foreign series and movies and it's frustrating not to be able to put in the curse words. Like, there's a woman who kidnaps another woman's mother, and what do you think she'd be called? A witch. Like I'm writing a fairytale. Because apparently people's ears will bleed when they hear bitch. Gaaaah.
Video clips of Kevin Bacon are known as Bacon Bits
Hee Hee, that is a dad joke if I ever heard one.
*GET OFF THE STAGE!* 🍅
THAT IS ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT. can I have your autograph? =)
😂🤣👍
Clever! 🥓

I'm from Harvard Sq too! Right across from the commons, next to the Longy school of music.

Love Kevin! Love all his movies!
Bacon is a criminally underrated actor 😫
@Josue2018 Have you seen Murder in the First? If not, watch it and tell me what you think.
I suggest you watch the woodsman. Incredible acting. Really makes you uncomfortable
You should watch death sentence. That movie is 🔥🔥
The Man has been in so many great films!!
He sucks.

Red SoX. NOT Red "socks."

"Clock-Watcher" 😂😂😂
I still listen to the Car Talk best-of podcasts every week!! One of the most hilarious shows to ever air on radio.
All right. Fan casting him as Commissioner Gordon in the upcoming The Batman movie right now.
It's the glasses, isn't it? I can see it.
why, we already have Gary Oldman, actualyl he looks exactly the same here
@@ElBribri yes, but just in case he might not be open to playing the same role, or if the studio wants a whole new cast

4:46 Proof that Conan is almost an extinct breed in late night TV. The only (baby) boomer of all the US late night talk show hosts.
Dude's still better than most of the current, younger hosts
He might technically be the oldest of gen X.
lol I love how he switched to the south philly accent out of nowhere ahaha
As a Mainer I can say New England loves Bacon
Mainers Unite 😆
Thank you both =)
Everytime I see Kevin Bacon, a giant subterranean worm is gonna pop up somewhere.
I really want that Philly character to be a thing.
yeah, just so he can do it justice!
People from the suburbs of Boston love the Boston accent
I’m from The north end and I meet people from the suburbs who talk with the accent and I just get confused like kid why are you putting on an accent you look dumb just speak normal 😂

He most def needs to be in Its Always Sunny.

*So the Boston accent is hard, let's talk about it.*

I'm still pissed that they canceled The Following. That show was so damn good.
I did some photo work for a client in PA. I didn’t know they had an accent until I heard Bacon do this impression, and it sounded EXACTLY like my client lol
What’s the point of the video about Kevin doing accents if it’s censored with the beep sound?
I was about to make the same comment 😒
I always remember the movie Flatliners everytime I see him. He made an impression on me with that one.
I haven't seen Footloose, though. I always thought it was a Travolta's movie till I recently deduced they are probably two different movies.
HOW have you not seen Footloose? Better get to it!!👍
Never knew he was from Philly and never knew Conan was from Boston
CITY ON A HILL is sooooo FCKING GOOD
"I'm tired of these monkey-fighting snakes, on these Monday-to-Friday planes!"
Kevin Bacon looks like Gary Oldman now :O
Due to the glasses, IMO.
One must never watch Goodfellas censored.
Andy stole that punch line “clock watcher” Bacon was clearly setting up for it
Conan knows us, he knows we love him!
kevin bacon is becoming more and more like josh brolin
This video made my day.

Oh man, I was raised on Car Talk! I friggin love that show.
Click and Clack! Those guys know cahhhhhhs
As a person with a real boston accent I will say Kevins isnt that bad. plus he looks like he is from boston anyways
that philly accent is spot on, add an extra point for mentioning Wawa
Star lord would be really happy seeing this
Issan I understood that reference
When is Kevin Bacon going to appear infront of Starlord? Starlord is going to freak!
Conan went to the same elementary and high school as me, in Boston.
Kevin bacons acting has gotten better with age
Fear of a Black Hat, the Spinal Tap of Hip hop, has great curse replacements if you see it on normal TV.
I have the talent to fit the word beepsucker into any situation. Funerals, weddings, whenever.

No. The Mystic River is different.

Man, my linguistics professor looks just like him. Jochen Zeller. German guy.
There are certain movies I can’t watch on regular TV. Goodfellas is one of them. Bridesmaids is another.
"Yippie Kai-ayy Mr. Falcon!"

Why are they bleeping a cable show?
It's okay you dont have to motherfucking sensor it
Wait. Has conan permanently changed his stage?
Someone please tell me, I miss his shows, I have a bedtime
Vanessa Torres A few months ago he revised his format. Smaller set. No formal desk. Less formal clothing. 30 min show with 1 guest rather than 2.

They cut the video at the most interesting part - Conan doing impression of Joe Pesci and improvising.
