One correction: There are no more "Legendary Parts" starting with the newest update, mainly due to GXtreme taking on the role of super busted machines and parts, and to simplify the rules for time attack submission. Those 6 legendary parts are now legal for submission and are properly balanced.
5:45 It speaks volumes to the sheer insanity of the difficulty level of the tracks the Story Mode had to where standard A.I. racers are dying en masse. Even the game's A.I. itself can't handle how intense Story Mode is.
Yeah, I would love to see custom characters, machines, and animations, but that's a far cry from now. I particularly want to have Linus (of Linus Tech Tips) as a player, only so that his goofy selfie picture is the pilot icon and he vibrates aggressively the faster you go.

F-Zero GX always left me in the dust and thus I wouldn't be picking up this mod. That said, I wonder if someone would make a mod where certain cars always attacked others like in F-Zero X. According to F-Zero X programer Keizo Ota the lore (which everyone dismisses) was created to justify the rivalries between the vehicles. He said "Based on the character profiles in the instruction manual you'll probably be able to figure out who the rivals are" It would be amazing to see a GX where the King and Queen Meteor constantly try to kill you if you choose the Death Anchor, or the Black Bull and the Blood Hawk constantly try to kill you in the Blue Falcon, or Rainbow Phoenix and Rolling Turtle try to kill you in the Dark Schnider or the White Cat and the Wonder Wasp constantly attack the Deep Claw. That would transform GX from a simple race into an outright war!

@@Lifescythe sorry I was confused by the message, and I do agree with the comment, it would be cool to see, but I think it could be restricted to master or maybe the amount of aggression from certain racers to certain racers could be changed by the class chosen (beginner little to none, standard an average amount, expert a whole lot, master damned near going out of the way to attack)

I never have been able to unlock every vehicle in story mode. I'm aware of Rainbow Phoenix and that Crazy Taxi vehicle and their might be one or two others.
Every chapter has a vehicle to unlock on Very Hard versions of Story Mode Missions. Some of the others include Magic Seagull, Fat Shark, and Silver Rat.
@CR-Nova I have the Fat Shark with Don Jingi, that magic girl with the Arabian look, and the Robot sidekick to Rainbow Phoenix. The Magic Seagull sounds familiar. That's the one with really wide wings, correct?

Wait so all the machines have had a strength that were the biggest strength buffed to make it so that they essentially revolve around it making them better for X situations, or am I misunderstanding things?
It makes it better for every machine (except high tier machines like Fat Shark or Black Bull) when it comes to those situations. In fact it's not about just buffing their strength, but reducing their flaws to a point. For example, in GX Super Piranha is really weak in most areas, but here, it's a little heavier and Acceleration, top speed, cornering and boost power is drastically increased so that it won't get left behind. Golden Fox is another case. It's a much heavier Machine here, has stronger grip and slightly reduced boost strength (as the visual stats would show). However, it's pretty strong, partly because it can get a lot more out of its weight. Black Bull, though has less durability and weaker boost and grip. It's still strong but not quite so overpowered. Just another way Unleashed tries to level the playing field so that there is stronger variety of gameplay. They all have been altered so that they can use certain advanced techniques (like the MTS) better because originally in GX, a huge amount of vehicles felt quite underpowered. These changes also affect CPU racers as well. Their behaviors were also changed so that they'd be less predictable and far more effective in races. Depending on the version of Unleashed you use, you can even get some that race a little like top runners (even without attacking).
He is in there. You can either unlock him like one would for AX racers--through Story Mode--or use the cheats (bundled with the mod's files) to unlock him from the start. This footage was recorded without using any cheat codes, so you didn't see all of the other machines.
@@ViceN53X Not everyone. There's not enough slots for that to happen as GX Modding is immensely difficult. What's really happening is that *some* of the AX content is replaced by others (some like Spark Moon and Fat Shark were left intact, for example, while Bunny Flash and Rolling Turtle were replaced with Hot Violet and Panzer Emerald). But as far as adding the models for machines like Blue Thunder, Sly Joker, etc. Not possible as no one's done models for all of those yet. Hot Violet making it into GX Unleashed is a miracle on its own, as generally our modding scene is still too small and GX itself is one of the most difficult games to mod. A Jet Vermilion model was finished but even then, very few have been able to create models (let alone learn how to) for other F-Zero Machines in GX.
@@ViceN53X They may as well have built GX with a shoestring, a paper clip, and bubblegum. Hyperbolic, but they just did not have a lot of resources when it came to making GX (nevermind doing their work for AX as well) So, it is definitely an impressive feat by any measure.

If you are a mid-age or late age teenager who picked up this game and played it long enough you will eventually adapt much faster than you would when you were in your younger years the problem with some F-Zero GX fans they fail to understand how quickly you guys adapted to the difficulty but rather twist around and convincing everybody that this game is not hard at all. This game was difficult enough especially how each machine has its own characteristics to learn and adapt. Some of them were underwhelming to master while others were easy to pick up. This series game being modded with a harder difficulty just makes no sense to me because how some people can't tell the difference between difficulty and quick adaptability. It is true that most of the racers don't interact with each other unlike Bloodhawk, Black Shadow, and Pico, But if you want my honest opinion, I would be highly annoyed, but well eventually have to learn and adapt to how to race around my opponents who attack like them though.
That's right. I played F-Zero X when I was a kid and I was absolutely bad at it lol. Fast forward x number of years later and I got pretty dang good at it and it became one of my favorite games.

I recently tried to get back into GX (just the base game on my Wii) and...story mode _really is_ grueling. I like a good challenge but this aint fun. I'll have to kick my past self in the head for deleting the save where I completed most of it.
It's such a huge contrast to Grand Prix Mode which is, for the most part, a lot easier in comparison. A remake of GX should definitely tone down Story Mode difficulty (and adjust default calibration so that it's not insanely sensitive for most people at first startup)
