    This was so helpful. Just made a batch of conditioner with almost the exact same core ingredients yesterday. It's only my third time using BTMS-25. Absolutely love how it feels and I wanted something slightly richer.This is perfect. I'll be trying it out tomorrow.

    I am drawn to the formulations with btms25. I am interested in how it works on thin and lifeless hair. If anyone has experience, please let me know.

    Hi! How long do you test the formulas (stability etc) before posting the video of the dyi?

    • @HumblebeeAndMe
      @HumblebeeAndMe  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi! It depends on the formulation. If it's something quite new, usually several months, but sometimes it can be years. If it's something where I've made 100 similar things in the past, usually a couple weeks to a couple months :) If it's something in between, then something in between.

    Where can i find Isoamyl laurate and propanediol 1,3 ??

      @HumblebeeAndMe  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! I always link all the ingredients for any given formulation in the blog post, which is linked in the description box below the video (that's one of the many reasons I highly suggest reading the blog post as well as watching the video! If you're not sure what I mean by the "description box", read this: www.humblebeeandme.com/faqs/whats-the-description-box-on-youtube/.).
      Sometimes those links break because they're always off-site links, or sometimes the store I've linked to isn't in your country. That's why I also have a giant page of places to shop all over the world, which you can find here: www.humblebeeandme.com/resources/. It doesn't have every country in the world, but it does contain all the online stores I know about. If your country isn't listed, that's because I don't know about any online stores in your country. You could try looking for a local Facebook group for people who like making soap & other cosmetics-they may be able to recommend places to shop.
      Happy making!

    Can BTMS-25 be used in certified natural and/or organic products? Or is there a common alternative for organic formulations? I can't seem to find an answer through Google, and thought you might know the answer?

    • @HumblebeeAndMe
      @HumblebeeAndMe  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      BTMS is not considered natural, and unfortunately the natural alternatives I've tried are pretty awful :/

    Can you add keratin??

    • @HumblebeeAndMe
      @HumblebeeAndMe  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Keratin is a hydrolyzed protein, so that would fall nicely under "hydrolyzed protein of choice" :) www.formulatorsampleshop.com/fss-keratin-hydrolysate-30-pf.html

    I noticed that a lot of brands use Btms25 than Btms50. I know that Btms50 is more condiontioning and I wonder why their go to is still Btms25

    • @alamatablessing8651

      Btms makes thicker products.

    • @mineaim971
      @mineaim971 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@alamatablessing8651 I know Btms25 makes thinker emulsion because of Cetearyl alcohol bonded to the btms but I'm wondering why btms25 over btms50

    • @HumblebeeAndMe
      @HumblebeeAndMe  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I suspect it is a couple of things. First, BTMS 25 is cheaper than BTMS 50 😛 Second, they may be working with the BTMS and cetearyl alcohol independently, giving the appearance of using BTMS 25 on the ingredient list when it is not actually that compound ingredient :)

    • @mineaim971
      @mineaim971 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HumblebeeAndMe thank you for your insight
      I believe it's the price because they are often listed as one compound ie Btms(and)Cetearyl alcohol or just as Btms then Cetearyl alcohol next to it.

    • @HumblebeeAndMe
      @HumblebeeAndMe  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mineaim971 If a company is following labeling laws, they generally aren't allowed to list ingredients as compounds with an (and) [I know that's not allowed in the EU or Canada-I can't speak for the entire world].
      If BTMS is listed before cetearyl alcohol then that wouldn't be BTMS-25 as there's 3x more cetearyl alcohol than BTMS in BTMS-25, so the cetearyl alcohol would have to come before the BTMS in the ingredient list as ingredients must be listed in descending order :)
