Thank you for this tutorial! I’ve been watching videos all morning trying to learn the easiest way to assemble the log cabin block. Yours is by far the easiest to understand!
My name is Kathy Wells I am learning a lot from your videos and learning a lot about my machine brothers luminaire by watching you thank you very much for your videos and don’t start please
I just happen to see this video and decided to watch. I am new at quilting and I am learning so much. I am making fewer mistakes and learning ways to keep my 4-inch seam allowance straight. I don't have many scraps to make this block but I will one day. Thank you for all you do.
I haven’t been able to catch your live videos because I’m working from home but I enjoy watching at night! I’m so happy to see the generosity you are receiving: you definitely deserve it! I can’t tell you enough how much you inspired me when I pulled my first sewing machine (still the same one) out of the box. Thank you for sharing with us all. 🥰 I haven’t made these blocks but I sure enjoy the replays. I’ll get there.
Hi everyone,i am new in this chat, but cannot speak or write very well.i am from aruba.and i love handycrafts(sewing).i like your projects veryvery nice. I am keep watching thks.
Everyday. I'm retired. And now that I don't have a set schedule, I can't remember which day it is anyway. LOL. What I read about log cabin is the red is the hearth or fire and the light and dark are representative of the logs. I have two that I've praised so would definitely speak up for...Mulqueen Sewing Center which is my local shop. Excellent customer service and prices that can't be beat. And...sorry for this...Atkins. I love their recipes and the food plan works. When we can eat normal again, I'm going back on it.
Hi Mrs Lisa.... You give the best videos and advice on quilting in my opinion very understanding and I love the sew alongs I watch a lot of your videos... they are so helpful to me as in being a beginner.. thank you so much 😊
Sorry to have missed the live Lisa. I love learning new blocks from you. Your approach and forgiveness in exactness are a blessing. Thank you for all you so for us. Being alone in this time is not fun and I miss the fun and laughter as you said. See you tomorrow!
I just watched my first quilting tutorial and all I can say is WOW! What a amazing teacher .so very kind of you . ! I found you from looking at redoing countertops as we are doing ours or trying anyway ,
@@TheQuiltmakerHomestead Well we have brush strokes so sanded and pouring it like you did . That step is tomorrow . Did yours hold up . I have to find one of your tutorials I have layer cakes . Also easy , lol
Fav day of the week: TODAY no matter what other name it carries. 💕 Fav product: Waverly fabric, decent fabric at an affordable price. Dwarf I identify the most with: Dopey, he means well but he is just a little awkward. First thing after a long trip: A long hot shower to wash the road off followed by my fav pjs and a good night's sleep in my own bed.
I am looking for a 12 inch block but with a smaller center the pattern I have now is 3 1/2 onch center with 2 in inch straps. Did a sample block but do not like center block that large.
I am brand new to quilting. I find the idea of it tedious and a bit intimidating. However, your video has made it seem doable. I'm cutting out now and (fingers crossed) will be making s lap quilt for my sil's b'day.
I believe you mean the leader and ender. It is a piece of fabric used before and after to keep the machine from creating birds nests or pulling fabric into machine or wasting thread.
I have a video called lets make a quilt design wall that shows up making it. You can find it in my video list. If you have any questions after viewing it please just leave a question on that video. Thank you
Q1 with irraguler shifts i do not really have a specific day, there is a moment and that is the second day off after a series of 3 days or more of shifts Q2 no idea, nothing pops in my mind Q3 sneezy for the same reason, normally it would be happy Q4 most of the time i return at night so sleep, otherwise it would be start a laundry and pick up my cat from the keeper (mum)

It's hard to think right now. LOL. I'm making mask. At the rate I'm going, I don't know when I'll be finished. The only product that comes to mind would be the Greek yogurt. I would probably be Dopey. I have to take muscle relaxers to sew. They make me loopy at times. All my disk are ruptured and arthritis in my spine. I'm not trying to be a downer, but I try to warn some that I could just disappear. I have a genetic heart disorder called obstructive cardiomyopathy. Usually the surgeon will do ablation surgery and kill off the offender, but in my case, where my heart is hardening is too close to the mitral valve and aortic valve. There is nothing they can do. It's beginning to get a little harder to breathe and my heart is not getting enough oxygen. But I'm not going anywhere to soon. I have too many quilts to get done. Especially my son's and my daughter's. I have plans for at least 7 quilts. Thank you Lisa. 💗😊💗
I prefer pins over wonder clips. I don't use them all the time but when I need them they are helpful. Also I like them to be very fine so they glide through the fabric vs forcing its way and leaving holes. Here are the ones I bought off amazon... www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000YQEUXS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

My personal aim is to be like the dwarf Happy.....And of course I am always in my happy place when sewing.
What i remember is red in the center for the heart of the home, and always press away from the center

What do you have the machine set at for the scant quarter inch? Thank you
How many blocks to make a green size quilt
I am curious about the leader and ender pieces. What is the purpose of that? I have never seen it done before.
Hi Donna, here's a video that may be helpful in explaining them: th-cam.com/video/WjJ0QJSuxZg/w-d-xo.html
I noticed you put a "wad" lol of material under your pressure foot, what does that do? I'm a semi novice - thx, Nora in AZ

Can I ask how to construct your 'design wall'

@@TheQuiltmakerHomestead thank you so much...I new to all of this sewing and quilting.
Can you make a video to someone how to measure and cut fabric.. I don't know how pls help
I'Mwandering why you always put apiece of material before you sew

DO YOU THINK I SHOULD US PINS
Pins can be very helpful if you are not comfortable just holding the fabric in place :)
