    Thank you for this tutorial! I’ve been watching videos all morning trying to learn the easiest way to assemble the log cabin block. Yours is by far the easiest to understand!

    I just happen to see this video and decided to watch. I am new at quilting and I am learning so much. I am making fewer mistakes and learning ways to keep my 4-inch seam allowance straight. I don't have many scraps to make this block but I will one day. Thank you for all you do.

    I haven’t been able to catch your live videos because I’m working from home but I enjoy watching at night! I’m so happy to see the generosity you are receiving: you definitely deserve it! I can’t tell you enough how much you inspired me when I pulled my first sewing machine (still the same one) out of the box. Thank you for sharing with us all. 🥰 I haven’t made these blocks but I sure enjoy the replays. I’ll get there.

    Everyday. I'm retired. And now that I don't have a set schedule, I can't remember which day it is anyway. LOL. What I read about log cabin is the red is the hearth or fire and the light and dark are representative of the logs. I have two that I've praised so would definitely speak up for...Mulqueen Sewing Center which is my local shop. Excellent customer service and prices that can't be beat. And...sorry for this...Atkins. I love their recipes and the food plan works. When we can eat normal again, I'm going back on it.

    Fav day of the week: TODAY no matter what other name it carries. 💕
    Fav product: Waverly fabric, decent fabric at an affordable price.
    Dwarf I identify the most with: Dopey, he means well but he is just a little awkward.
    First thing after a long trip: A long hot shower to wash the road off followed by my fav pjs and a good night's sleep in my own bed.

    • @TheQuiltmakerHomestead
      @TheQuiltmakerHomestead  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe you mean the leader and ender. It is a piece of fabric used before and after to keep the machine from creating birds nests or pulling fabric into machine or wasting thread.

    It's hard to think right now. LOL. I'm making mask. At the rate I'm going, I don't know when I'll be finished. The only product that comes to mind would be the Greek yogurt. I would probably be Dopey. I have to take muscle relaxers to sew. They make me loopy at times. All my disk are ruptured and arthritis in my spine. I'm not trying to be a downer, but I try to warn some that I could just disappear. I have a genetic heart disorder called obstructive cardiomyopathy. Usually the surgeon will do ablation surgery and kill off the offender, but in my case, where my heart is hardening is too close to the mitral valve and aortic valve. There is nothing they can do. It's beginning to get a little harder to breathe and my heart is not getting enough oxygen. But I'm not going anywhere to soon. I have too many quilts to get done. Especially my son's and my daughter's. I have plans for at least 7 quilts. Thank you Lisa. 💗😊💗

    DO YOU THINK I SHOULD US PINS

    • @TheQuiltmakerHomestead
      @TheQuiltmakerHomestead  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pins can be very helpful if you are not comfortable just holding the fabric in place :)

    • @SewMerri
      @SewMerri 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I prefer pins over wonder clips. I don't use them all the time but when I need them they are helpful. Also I like them to be very fine so they glide through the fabric vs forcing its way and leaving holes. Here are the ones I bought off amazon... www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000YQEUXS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
