Thank you, Sherri! You explained how to use the Creative Grids Log Cabin Trim Tool very well. I appreciate that you gave usa printout also, because I wouldn't know what sizes to cut. I have always wanted to make a Log Cabin quilt!!
sorry to be off topic but does someone know a way to log back into an instagram account? I was stupid forgot my login password. I would love any help you can offer me
@Tadeo Jayden thanks for your reply. I found the site through google and I'm trying it out now. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Great instruction. I can see how you put the ruler on the block and cut. Other instructions don't explain that fully and up until now I never used the tool. Thanks. Unfortunately, I cannot get into your blog. URL not found.
I’m just getting started with this ruler.....so I need my logs trimmed to the required lengths before I add them to their round? Otherwise I need to trim each length before adding the next log.
Sheri, I recently purchased the log cabin ruler. I’ve watched the video and wonder if I can still use the ruler even though my strips are not all the same size. I was hoping to make this scrappy to use up strips in various sizes. Any assistance would be helpful.
I just found your channel and brand new at quilting. I really want to try this and just got the ruler, but my newbie question is...can you tell me what the dimensions of each of those strips are so that I know what size I need to cut? I am a bit confused
On the paper instructions it will tell you depending on what style block you want to make, traditional log cabin or court house steps. www.creativegridsusa.com/products/CGRJAW1
You know what will be fun is that you place your special ruler on a white peace of paper and stop to move but show us where is the center. I don’t see it!
Bought this ruler a while back. Thank you for the excellent tutorial.
Love this log cabin block with the large square center! Thank you for sharing this tutorial! ❤️
I just found your channel I think it's brilliant
I’ve already started collecting fabrics for a log cabin quilt. I’m gonna buy that ruler.
Thank you very much for this! Just received this ruler second hand and was a great explanation of its proper use!!! The best!!!
Love the six inch ruler
Thank you - visuals are always better than just instruction words. Good job!
I was going to do Log Cabin using the paper but this is WAY quicker and so precise. Thank you for sharing!!!

Hi I just found your site and I have the ruler. What I want to figure out is where or how do I get the strip measurements.
I was wondering the same thing!

I have used that tool, it's awesome. Have you used the pineapple tool, it's great too. Thank you

Are you ironing in between the trimming?
link for measurements for this ruler no longer exists...?
What is the name of the quilt you have hanging on the door behind you? I love it! Great videos too!
Check out Garden Stars sampler quilt pattern, I think that’s it. If you haven’t found it!
What are the strip dimensions?
Hi. What are the sizes of the two center blocks. I’ve seen other ones that make the two center pieces the same size. Does it matter?
2.5”
What size is the block? I started watching late

It seems like it is a lot of trimming for each round. Why do we all think everything has to be perfect ?
D
Too bad you don't answer the people's questions,.
