Extremly well done Ford. Now that is the example that inspires confidence in the brand. I'ts annoying when things go wrong but all is forgiven when the manufacture looks after you. Also a big thank you to Leon for advertising such a great response from Ford, hopefully it will encourage this trend.

You are blessed. FORD also came out to me when workshop dropped my Ford f250 gearbox full of oil from high lift years back .They repaired it after much debate but never for filled the other promises.
So it's nice to hear service has improved.
Spares are still a issue .Unavailable or on back order.
You can ask any Ford F250 owner who are amongst the most loyal Ford owners ,yet the most neglected.
If you plan to keep you bakkie for a extended period consider another make.
    I say this sadly.

The 2016 models had the 3.2L diesel, these had turbo issues and also pipes that had a chance of cracking and causing issues. The 3.2L was a good engine for me and combined with a 6 speed auto always felt grunty. 2019 the first 2l biturbo came on the market combined with a 10 speed auto. The gearbox did have teething issues in those first two years but was fixed in subsequent models and through a few software updates. Glad for you. But my friend in East London did not even receive a reply from Ford. He had to sell his 2.2 ranger, started using excessive diesel, found out it was an engine problem at 80 000km. Never treated him well. And never fixed the cause of the problem. He had to sell it and buy a Toyota d4d. Hence now very happy. Shortcuts never work. Ford engines just doesn't have it. I sometimes drive behind new Ford rangers and smoke comes out when they accelerate, but Toyota d4d does not show that. Is it the engine setup. I don't know but the fumes also stink much more on a Ford.

Disagree with you, all the Hilux's I drove behind are smoking, maybe they try to show me how fast there 2.8's are against a 2.2, and I still smoke them from robot to robot. However your brand is only as good as your dealership. (.) Point. The stank you refer to depends on the brand of fuel you put in it and the catalytic converters. Factory faults are common on new generation vehicles. Ford have done extensive testing on the prototype cars but the real results come from reviews like this one. They get owners opinions and recommendations and it's this information they use to patch things here and there for the next updated rangers. As to your car getting Eurospec Diesel, the Rangers in Europe and South East Asia have Adblue and DPFs. These components need premium fuel to work best. Africa is only a Euro 2 emissions zone while the rest of the world get Euro 6 emissions compliance.

We appreciate Ford SA focus on customer service, please get a team to require proof to media comments of those making breakdown statements on other Ranger reviews. This will expose malicious statements. Engage the comment maker, and if the claim is a lie, "correct" the person on that same review comment.
Let the real truth come out.
