    Thank You! This helped me out so much. I was beating my head on a wall trying to figure out why I couldn't get my radio to connect. For whatever reason, switching it over to the frequency you recommended worked. Frustration solved.

    O my gosh, thank you. My bud and I were thrown in the deep end with r12i and tsc7 equipment never having used it before. Your video is very helpful, not too long.
    The step by step instructions can be used by us to create a checklist for setting up the instruments. thanks again!

    Dude, I just have to say thank you so much for this. It was matching the radio frequencies as what I had a problem with. I got everything else but that I left out I appreciate you and your channel. Thanks again.

    Thank you sir. We have been running our equipment for years without issue and for some reason we had to reboot all devices and your video saved us multiple man hours. Ultimate thanks from our crew sir.

    Robert, nice video. Mostly confirmed what I'm already doing. I have a issue with accuracy. Setting up on known point, but when I check into another point with the rover, I'm getting a hoz. error of 3 to 5 tenths. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also, if I'm setting up on known point should I be using the "here" function before starting my survey. I've gotten similar error both with the "here" and without, always over known point.

    Thank you for the info again! Great stuff! Did you have to conduct a tilt sensor calibration before starting the base? Do you have a similar video for PPK setup? Also I can't seem to find any information on the wifi light and what it does, I know you mentioned you would comeback to it in the video. Sorry for all the questions, the army is switching back to trimble equipment from the TAG military gnss equipment.

    Using the radio internal for the base and rover, what range can you get? And how does that compare to using something like the TDL 450H?

    Thanks in advance, SO my company finally is looking into Trimble GPS system to use with our CAT GPS equipped machines for a small company that moves from site to site and need to build surfaces on the fly, what do you think would work better for us the R10 or the smart sps986 antennas?, and if the base anywhere would really save more time, since we are mostly in need to build surface models on the go and in a hurry so we can just pop the model on a piece of equipment and get it done. we use sketchup pro and scs900 as of today if that matters, but looking into t10 with access with the new system, if you could share your input with us would be appreciated

      sorry for just getting back to you, I would stick with the construction gear if you are using them on equipment.

    Great video. I had a question though.
    You ran the base on an autonomous point. Is there a way to run base on fast static WHILE you are collecting with the rover? And then just post-process the static shot later and fix the rover shots along with it?

    • @SurveyingWithRobert
      @SurveyingWithRobert  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maxwell Montgomery that’s basically what I did in the video with the R8s.

    • @SurveyingWithRobert
      @SurveyingWithRobert  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Look up RTK part one and part two so you can see how I processed the data.

    In fast static , I did not set the rover bubble when taking observations on unknown points. Is this a fatal mistake?

    • @SurveyingWithRobert
      @SurveyingWithRobert  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well the center of the pole and the center of the rover need to be the same.

    Can you set the epoch rate for all observations (not have to change it every time you turn it on) for "Fast Static" observations using only TBC or mobile phone?

    Hey Robert,
    Awesome video showcasing the latest tech in R10-2.
    I have a question on different topics.
    I am in need of a cheap GIS data collection setup with TerraSync Standard Software.
    Could you please provide me with suggestions for most affordable Trimble Handheld GPS with TerraSync GIS data collection setup?
    It would be a life saver for me.
    Thanks again for the great video.

      Check for these; Juno 5, TDC 100, Geo 7X or Nomad 5. Should be able to get the job done.

    Why do 8000 bps when 9600 is also an option?

    Ty for turning ur CapsLock on, i cringed a bit when u named the job in lower case letters :)
    The length of the video is good, especially when it comes to configuring new gear. Too much info is better than not enough, whether its a youtube tutorial or a survey job.
    Keep the vids coming
