Base Jump Wingsuit flight off Mt Si in North Bend, Washington filming with Joe Webb and Taz.
A hike up on a hot summer day proved to be more than exciting when capturing the expedition to the jump spot, and then the adrenaline filled jumps. This was a true test in extreme sports filmmaking with a camera gear collaboration of 2 phones, 2 drones, 1 helmet mounted GoPro, 1 helmet mounted 360 camera, and my main camera shooting handheld.
Base Jumping and Wingsuit flying are a whole new experience for me to capture... with an all day build up to then having gravity pull them away in seconds... gotta be ready! This video goes beyond the action, showing the story behind the scenes as far as what it takes for the athletes and the filmmakers to cover these elaborate stunts.
