Fantastic build & video thank you! Little tip for Gahlran that's especially useful for solo flawless is only pick up one standard at a time whereas you were making the effort to find and pick up both. The reason for this is the nightmare timer is extended every time you kill the standard bearer so we want to force the game to make one appear whilst we are in damage phase. A typical solo run is go to the nightmare realm, find and kill both bearers but only pick up ONE standard, leave the other. Get the bellkeepers and go back, place standard and go over taking out the copies of Gahlran. Once the door opens run to where you know the second standard is but DO NOT kill the bearer, pick it up and head back once the BK are gone. Now when you place the standard and go back over that same bearer will be mixed inbetween the copies and if you kill him then it'll give an extra 15 seconds on your DPS phase! Makes it an easier 3 phase 😊

Your clear explanations in real time while you're running the dungeon of how the buffs work and how they stack is so helpful I'm not a hunter main, but when I'm running arc hunter with assassin's cowl, I always remember "roll, punch a dog, go invisible and get amplified" (32:40). Absolute godly strat and loadout, just attempted it and boom first try. As someone who suffers a lot with anxiety this method is a lot more easy going than you'd expect. Thanks for your amazing work!
The bell-wipe bug at the Caital encounter is specific to the axes and sun platforms. If you're on one of those platforms, and the doors open for a fresh wave of Scions to enter, do not shoot the bell until the Scions are off your platform and the door is closed.
I can confirm this. I used to die on the platforms when transporting, but when someone told me not to hit the bells when adds were coming in from the doors, I stopped getting killed on transport. Now I get all paranoid with groups and yell "NO! Don't shoot the bells!" when I see those doors open 😝
Nice run, looking forward to seeing the other dungeons. I'd definitely recommend people that haven't tried them before to give the solo dungeons a go.

I know this is a year old but it was instrumental in helping me get my solo clear. Everything in here is great advice but the transitioning positions between damage phases and mechanics is what helped me the most. Thank you for this and all your other guides

I just wanted to say thank you. I've been trying to solo this for a while on a solar titan, just couldn't put the damage together and the runs were long and tiring. I played about with this (ended up using a riptide for first and last), OMG, if I was doing 'the dance' I was safe. Got my title, and on my first solo clear only one death. Maybe back for the emblem another day.

@@Dorvarich I've 20+ clears as a team on this dungeon, zero solo/flawless solo. You executed every encounter perfectly,took your time and were aware. This dungeon is by far the most mentally exhausting.

Yeah I might make a "how to Lament" video, that's a good idea! For now, the short answer is that the heavy attack itself will build 3 stacks, so 2-1-2 still gets you full heavy damage and has you heavy attack more often than 3-1-2. Amazing content!!! Sadly as a returning player, I have trouble getting those ADA-1 mods, this restricted my builds to the minimum. I Hope Bungie fix this mechanism and allow old mods to be farmed instead waiting for MONTHS to get the one you want
It is such a bad system, I returned in WQ and didn't have any mods, it took me like 2 full season to get somewhat of a good mod collection for my builds. They should just let you buy every mod tbh.
Yeah I don't know what they're thinking with this system... all of the newer players I know are playing the game less because of it. If they really want to time-gate it, at least don't tie it to RNG.

I love your guide, exactly the same strats I am using, one suggestion, maybe you touched on that in other comments, anyways, I'd suggest killing the second standard bearer and not picking it up, but rather pick it up only after killing the first room of shades, since when you go in for the second shade room, the psion will spawn again and killing him will extend your timer for dps. Also on the second jumping puzzle with the coffins coming out of the walls, you can skip a substantial amount of it, once you reach the door instead of jumping down to the left, you can go right there is a narrow ledge along the wall you can walk on and jump straight up to the second lever activate it and jump across to the first slide, it works on Titan and Warlock as well, however, I found it easiest to do with hunter :-)
I was wondering if there was a reason to not do this to extend damage phase. Probably just didn’t think to do it or didn’t know about it.

You could use Liar's Handshake and it will work well too. A little less forgiving but it has a higher damage ceiling.
Great video. Very well explained. I’m planning on using a solar Titan for my run, would you still recommend a glaive for the Gahlran encounter in the energy slot on that class/subclass?
On a Solar Titan, if you're using Roaring Flames you can just bonk each one with the hammer and they'll die, so a glaive won't be needed.

this build got me my proph solo flawless after 99 clears
Key trick is to keep combination blow up during the boss fight with Liars Hand Shake. Even if you have to leave the boss for a few seconds. If you can keep up the CB and mix it with tractor cannon and one-two punch the damage is crazy. I almost 2 phased 1st boss. And two phased last boss. But took me lots of hours to finally get the pattern down.

Two failures were on vault. Once falling off the map & second couldn't get back from the nightmare realm in time.
My first time on a Hunter too. Usually I am a warlock fanboy.
I was surprised on how well this build worked on Gahlran but I was running into a lot of troubles with the next fight as I always ran out of time. My hunter can’t be on 100 mobility when also on 100 resilience and so my dodge is slower. After many tries I am 75% success rate but it just needs one problem with killing all enemies to spawn the standard bearer or missing the bell keeper to end a run. That said this is a fun build when I am not alone or in the KF sister and oryx fight.

For the final boss you can hit one of the small bells after ringing the big one. It will legit give you a few seconds to start working on the bellkeepers before she spawns in.

Im the getting 3 snipers in each platform in the damage phase, its ridicoulus, how am i supposed to survive that
I liked this video and figured I’d give it a try and got all the way to caital no problem, but I kept whiffing my sword damage so I had to do three phases.. unfortunately for me on the third phase where she woulda died a backpack ended my solo flawless haha
Tips: In the first encounter you can keep the second psion alive to extend the damage phase to 50 seconds. So kill the psions but don't collect the banners, In the second encounter Eriana's Vow will one shot all the phalanxes. The "bell death glitch" death in the third encounter is when an add spawn door is open when you go into the nightmare realm. So make sure all the adds have spawn and in the room before you hit the bell.

Little tip on lament dps. Don’t try to do another combo until you have 3/4 sword energy otherwise the heavy attack won’t do as much damage
The Lament doesn't actually gain heavy attack damage from having more energy like the legendary swords do. All that matters is the x9 Banshee's Wail. 2-1-2 has been shown through testing to be the optimal Lament DPS.

It shoots very straight even from the hip and you’re not using it to kill enemies so the element is irrelevant. It’s a unique archetype so there is no arc version like it. He’s also using lament so any mods to increase solar damage or get orbs would benefit both. Lastly there are some solar shielded majors roaming around between damage phases. Could utilize shield break charge just popping their shield before punchy time
