Petunia might not like Harry, but she likes Marge even less.
I think it's because despite being jealous of lily growing up she was and always will be her sister, in the deleted scene in the deathly hallows you can see she misses her sister
You can tell Petunia sees Lily in Harry, that’s why she isn’t as harsh as Vernon is. That’s why in the cursed child she actually gives Harry his stuff before her death. Honestly such an underrated character.

Petuina knows there is nothing she can do , while she may have hated magic ( I think she hated it less than she let on and I think she had suffered some abuse at the hands of magic users ) she had more experience with it than her husband , I suspect she may have had a hex or two put on her herself via Lily on some occasion, therefore knowing the only person who can stop it more or less are the caster or another witch / wizard ( which none of them are ) Probably knew Marge would be fine as well .

This was sooooo satisfying to watch!!!! Aunt Marge deserved this because she talked very badly to Harry's parents. Not only was she mean to Harry's parents but she was also mean to Harry in this scene. You know, Harry's parents were very good to Harry until both of them got killed. I would do the same thing as Harry if someone talked trash about my parents but maybe even worse. It's hard to believe Harry is doing magic with no wand and he's strong!
I really love the idea that Petunia was secretly a witch too and she was the one who did this bc she was mad that Petunia was insulting Lily, her sister, and the only thing Harry did was shatter the glass when Marge was talking about his father. The way Petunia obviously gets uncomfortable when Marge insults Lily at the table, the way she just sits and watches it happen without so much as trying to help, the way she backs up towards Harry rather than trying to at least grab Marge while she’s floating away. That’s one of my favorite headcanons. That and the headcanon that Draco was the one who gave Hermione that piece of paper about the basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets, because of that scene where they showed him ripping a page out of Fantastic Beasts without ever explaining why even though if he wanted the book as a whole he could have just bought it, and the fact that Hermione would never damage a book like that, and he was standing right behind her in the book store so he could have easily slipped it into say like the hood of her robe or bag or something. This was sooooo satisfying to watch!!!! Aunt Marge deserved this because she talked very badly to Harry's parents. Not only was she mean to Harry's parents but she was also mean to Harry in this scene. You know, Harry's parents were very good to Harry until both of them got killed. I would do the same thing as Harry if someone talked trash about my parents but maybe even worse. It's hard to believe Harry is doing magic with no wand and he's strong!

I really love the idea that Petunia was secretly a witch too and she was the one who did this bc she was mad that Petunia was insulting Lily, her sister, and the only thing Harry did was shatter the glass when Marge was talking about his father. The way Petunia obviously gets uncomfortable when Marge insults Lily at the table, the way she just sits and watches it happen without so much as trying to help, the way she backs up towards Harry rather than trying to at least grab Marge while she’s floating away. That’s one of my favorite headcanons. That and the headcanon that Draco was the one who gave Hermione that piece of paper about the basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets, because of that scene where they showed him ripping a page out of Fantastic Beasts without ever explaining why even though if he wanted the book as a whole he could have just bought it, and the fact that Hermione would never damage a book like that, and he was standing right behind her in the book store so he could have easily slipped it into say like the hood of her robe or bag or something. Ahhhh these little things make the whole franchise so much more fun
