This is the first time ive really taken a close note of petunias expressions; she was fine with marge being mean about james, but look at her expression when she was horrible about lily, petunia wasnt happy. Also petunia looked at harry concerned when he was angry then with a knowing look back at marge when the lights started flickering. She also didnt bother asking harry to fix marge unlike vernon because she knew he couldnt, i also believe she knew he couldnt control it and therefore it wasnt his fault. Petunia is more on harrys side than vernons or marges during this event.
When Marge starts talking about Lily I noticed Petunia goes very silent and seems to fold in on herself, you can't even see her eyes, and it shows that while she was jealous and resented her sister for being magic while she wasn't, she did genuinely love her sister once and she doesn't like hearing her being talked about like this. It''s a good bit of acting that shows petunia wasn't just the aunt who hated her sister and nephew.
Best part is when Fudge is like “come now Harry we don’t people to Azkaban for blowing up their aunts,” that parts always cracks me up especially since it can also be taken out of context lol
