Too much minute work and needs the right tools. If I buy the li-on battery myself, minimum cost $30. Apple charge $90 to do the job, you judge which is better. You do it yourself, risk to damage the costly handset.
Off the top of my head there are a few reasons someone might want to DIY this: 1) there are a handful of scenarios where Apple will deny a battery replacement so DIY is your only option 2) you live in the middle of nowhere and Apple is a several hour drive. I go snowboarding in mammoth lakes near Yosemite National park and the nearest Apple is 3 hours one way 3) you don’t want to part with your phone to mail it into Apple
That being said, if there’s an Apple close to you I think the extra few $s to avoid the liability of damaging your screen and everything else that comes along with the repair is well worth the money spent

@papadonkus9219 I don’t know am alternative but using iso alcohol is an aid. Not a necessity
@@repaironwheels thankyou sir
@papadonkus9219 ✌️
I’m being 100% sincere and I’m in no way trying to insult you or disrespect you with this question. But I am curious if you have ever been diagnosed as having a type of ADD called Over-focused ADD? I have this type of ADD and I immediately recognized that you have some difficulty speaking while performing a task that requires you focus more intently. Whether you have consciously learned to refocus yourself or it’s something that you aren’t aware of, either way it’s impressive how you are able to refocus your mind and continue explaining the various steps. Oh btw, great video. ✌️
Hey! May I ask what you do to support your process with this ADD . @bigpapimark1
I was diagnosed around 9 or 10 years old. I stopped taking adderall when I was 19. Didn’t like the way it made me feel
My battery health seems to drop significantly the closer we get to a new iPhone release 🤔
Just a coincidence 😉
Like … 😎👍🏻 Put Ads at end if you can
I need to go back and do that to all my old videos
Perfect 👌
Thank you
I recently jumped in the pool with my 12 pro I was in there for ab 20 mins the phone worked still when I got out. I went to go plug it in that night and now it won’t turn on what should I do get the battery replaced or is it something major
Without seeing the phone first hand it’s difficult to say. I’d start by getting the phone opened up. And possible battery or charging port before moving on the next possibility
1. iPhone after back glass repair
2. Buy normal separator!!!
Can you elaborate on this?
👎 what about waterproof stickers?
What about them. There’s no way to make the phone water resistant again. The only purpose they serve is it prevent the screen from tapping against the frame
@@repaironwheels in fact, special stickers are sold on a transfer template for re-gluing.
@@repaironwheels very strange if you didn’t know this simple sings
If you are referring to the battery adhesives I normally re install them. If I didn’t in the video it’s because I didn’t have any at the time
@@repaironwheels I mean the waterproof glue stick between the case and the screen. You did not install it and the phone remained completely unprotected from even the slightest moisture and the screen itself is probably hanging out without this adhesive layer.
Try making shorter videos. People love seeing repairs videos but shorter ones.
That’s the dilemma I have every video. If it’s short it’s difficult to be specific or to go into detail. If I’m too specific the video is unnecessarily long
@@repaironwheels I liked the length of your video. I haven’t repaired or replaced anything newer than an 8 Plus. I’ve been nervous about the 12 pro and 12 pro max that we have several of now. Batteries are all about ready to need done.
Thanks for the video and the pro tip! I have never used isopropyl alcohol before! I always have 90% in the house. That’s going to be a huge time and frustration saver!!
I’m a mom with 4 kids. Screen replacements were the most common with all those kids. Videos like yours saved me a ton of money over the years! Keep up the great content and thorough content!
Thank for you for the kind words of encouragement. The 12 series are that bad once you get inside. It’s getting the oled off without damaging it (especially in scenarios where you need to reuse the screen like batteries or charging ports). Once again isopropyl 91%+ to the rescue. Check out a video I did about that, hopefully it helps out
Too much minute work and needs the right tools. If I buy the li-on battery myself, minimum cost $30. Apple charge $90 to do the job, you judge which is better. You do it yourself, risk to damage the costly handset.
Off the top of my head there are a few reasons someone might want to DIY this:
1) there are a handful of scenarios where Apple will deny a battery replacement so DIY is your only option
2) you live in the middle of nowhere and Apple is a several hour drive. I go snowboarding in mammoth lakes near Yosemite National park and the nearest Apple is 3 hours one way
3) you don’t want to part with your phone to mail it into Apple
That being said, if there’s an Apple close to you I think the extra few $s to avoid the liability of damaging your screen and everything else that comes along with the repair is well worth the money spent
Where i can buy original apple batteries???
Apple has a self service repair site, Or occasionally mobilesentrix has some for sale
@@repaironwheels on exmple, iStyle Store repair service searches 10000 ways to NOT replace original battery on their bill, althought is battery degraded in one year from 100 till 80%. Catastrophy.
Then i went to EPL Store repair service and there changed whole phone in 14 days without ANY QUESTION.
So, EPL, the right place for repair and thumbs down for iStyle service.
He’s lucky he didn’t break the glass opening like a noob
Since I made this video I have a different technique. That being said how do you open 12s and 13s
I can now open 12 13 14 series without heat
Good, keep it up
Will do
Important battery message after 😂
Unfortunately
Too slow 🥵

It’s kind of the point. To go slow
