I'm using a fairphone, fully repairable with a screwdriver and they sell their parts themselves. The battery can be changed in 20 seconds without any tools.
So basically only one tag on flex is needed for all my repairs? Since I don’t need to leave it in the phone and can reuse it? Does the BMS then just restart and count down again as a new battery?
@@iDoctorUK😮just seems odd that in any other repair they leave them. But that will reduce the cost of changing a battery significantly if it works without
To force people to use their own shops so they can rob you again. Good business as most people gladly do it. Apple are scum for parring their components with the logic board which is completely unnecessary.
I thought the whole point of soldering the BMS was to avoid the error message - why do you need the tag on flex to be connected first before removing it? I assume if you solder the BMS to the new battery, but don't add the tag on flex, it will still show error messages? I have the same Qian-Li tool and tried this process on an iPhone XS summer last year, accidentally broke the BMS board so ended up just putting in a third party battery since it's now not possible to get around the non-genuine battery warning.
The tag on flex will trick the iphone into believing that its the phones actual battery and the phone will read that info from the battery and pair it with the motherboard. The tag on is supposed to link the iphone with the phones motherboard.
@@Yahya-On-2fps thank you, I'm a little confused as the BMS was swapped from the phone's original battery. Hi , I got a question to you guys so I got both the qianli tag-on flex and the programmer do I need to program it or does it come preprogrammed, and as I understand from this video booting the phone with a different battery is not needed
Hello, I recently got my iphone 13 battery replaced. but the problem is the battery percentage seems to be incorrect. It'll rapidly decrease from 30 to 20 but lasts long enough for a day. Any idea to fix this or should i let it be.
Hi, I changed my battery and everything works perfectly, but not my camera. My torch doesn’t work but it works when I have to make m a photo, and also, only my frontal camera works. The back camera only works if I put 0,5. Please help
You need to purchase a tag on flex that is pre-programmed for the iPhone you are using. You can re-use your existing tag on flex but will need to reprogram it to reset the battery cycles and health. The programmer can cost $100+ so a pre programmed tag on flex is the way to go for a personal diy replacement
Followed all steps but no luck. The old battery health is still present. iOS 17.4.1. Tag on flex v3.3. Does anyone found a solution on how to reset the cycles and battery health???
On the steps of the tutorial there is no need of any programmer just the tag on flex. However at the time of my comment i did not have any programmer. I bought a qianli apollo interstellar one but no success either. apparently it doesn't work for iphones 12 series. on icopy i watched videos that you can indeed reset the battery health. Unfortunately for me i have to stick with the old battery health.
I have an iPhone that will keep showing the old data at 88%, I have tried connecting a different battery, rebooting and reconnecting the new battery with the transfered bms board again but to no avail. The new data won't show up whatever I do, have you come into this? I have done many replacements without issues with the same tag on. Thanks in advance for your reply
for ios 17.4.1, you might need to restore battery health through 3utools. install the battery with flex to the board and connect the phone to the pc. if the battery in the 3utools showing 100%, you can reset battery health to 100%
@@zarifhilmy7479 Thanks for your response! It indeed shows 100% in 3utools, how do i reset the battery health to 100%? Can't seem to find any reset battery health option in 3utools

You can buy them from different vendors / different brands. I get mine from injured gadgets Xcap brand or from gadgetfix . They have no welded needed as well.
Dont you just miss the days when you could just slip the back off and pop a new battery in within about 10 seconds.

No, you do not need a programmer, however this maneuver is way harder, and as expensive as buying a new programmer.
