You will never get 100% functionality back with your iPhone even when using OEM donor parts. Don't pull those tabs up; pull them along the plane of the phone, by lifting as slowly as possible. Also, once you put some tension on the tab, just hold it there until the tension slowly releases and then pull out more. You have to give the adhesive some time to release before pulling more.

@rvidal0001 I prefer wired ones. My (ahem brother's) airpods just fall off everytime I try to wear them it gets annoying
@Drew Tapia yeah wireless pods just don't work for some apps and I hear the sound like 2 seconds later
