Join Professor Zach Murphy in part 1 of this two part series on fatty acid synthesis. In this lecture we discuss the conversion of Acetyl-CoA into Malonyl-CoA, along with the allosteric and hormonal regulation of the enzymes involved in this pathway. Finally, we talk about the regulatory effects on carnitine palmitoyltransferase (type I, & II) which are involved in the fatty acid oxidation pathway. If you are struggling with biochemistry like I did a few days ago, I really advise you to start this series from the beginning... It is marvelously amazing and made easy to understand.. just try your best to find enough time to watch the vids from the beginning and trust me, IT IS WORTH IT!
You have to understand the previous lessons in order to understand this lesson... Unfortunately there is no getting around this fact... this is how you study biochemistry
