In pretty sure the creator has said that dipper IS the main character because he's supposed to represent Alex's childhood. You would probably guess dipper was the main character when he did the narration at the start of the first episode
And Mabel is based off his sister, he gave her a pig in the show because she always wanted one

Yeah at most I'd argue Mabel and Dipper are equally the main character but it's mostly Dipper
@@47ratsinahoodie At most I'd say she's the co-protagonist and that's only by her association with Dipper. Had her and Dipper not interacted so much, she'd be nothing as a character.
Dipper is the mystery seeker, Mabel is the chaos, Stan is the humor and grump, Soos is the reliable goofball, Wendy is the cool side character, and Waddles is the Mascot.

Yknow whether Dipper is present for the adventure or not, as long as Mabel tells him the story afterward Dipper can still include it in the hypothetical biography
Dipper _literally_ opens the series with his voice-over narration, and it doesn't spoil anything to tell you that he closes out the series the same way.
When Dipper and Mabel have separate stories in an episode, Dipper's side has been the "A" story more often than not, but there was no actual _rule_ in the writers' room that Dipper needed to be around or even become aware of a storyline in order for it to be in an episode. For example in _Boyz Crazy_ - which I assume you've seen by now - their stories are completely separate and they do not interact with each other at all.
@@bobertbopala We~e~ell, if you want to get _technical,_ I'd say that a "spoiler" is giving away a plot twist or development that would otherwise have come as a _surprise_ to the audience. 🤓
I'm not sure that the protagonist of a kids' show on the Disney Channel actually _surviving_ for once qualifies as a "surprise". I mean, even people who already knew the original _Little Mermaid_ story weren't exactly surprised that in the Disney version she lives and gets a "Happily Ever After." 😉
About the show's perspective talk in the middle. Without spoiling anything, in a later episode of S2 there is a newspaper showing dipper doing a different offscreen adventure that was not mentioned anywhere else.
I believe that most of the show is told from dipper's perspective with some episodes and B plots featuring the other characters.

The only thing I hate about bodyswap episodes, is when the characters just swap voices to showcase they are in different bodies, when in reality if this happened, their voices wouldn't change 'cause that's not how voice boxes work. I love it when shows do this by having the person imitating the character that's suppose to be in their body now, making it more impressive with their voice/acting range.
Agreed. I think it's hilarious when the actor has to do their impersonation of the other character. I'm 99% percent sure that the director/producers make the decision to change voices for the dummies in the audience, ha ha.
It’s a kids show so I believe it’s used to make it obvious for the audience

There is an explanation for why Gravity Falls residents don't seem to notice anything...but you're a lot of episodes away from getting it.

The S in Mystery Shack fell off during the wax episode when Dipper was fighting wax Sherlock Holmes on the roof
He asked if the S fell off in the intro after that episode.

Stan secretly grabbing and then cleaning the other glasses is pretty sad if you know why .
the stpry in episode 1 dipper is the narrator. Were watching a third person narration but the truth is dipper is "narrating" he just only did it in the first episode to introduce the story

I'm so glad they noticed the triangles so early on. I've watched so many reactions and none really noticed that quickly or actually thought it meant something.

@@_Kokushi_ it's very important for the story if u look it and think you will see some symbols and other things like foreshadowing but I don't want to spoil, also cool slavic name it's sounds kinda Bulgarian
For the discussion about perspective: it being dippers perspective may hold some ground, but it mostly boils down to Mable as a character relying on Dipper when solving problems than Dipper relying on Mable imo.
I think it's still a show from both of their perspectives (in a limited omniscient kind of way) even though there tends to be more focus on Dipper and he narrates for them, it's not quite fair to say that we aren't also following Mabel's summer adventures just because she's not as into seeking out the supernatural like Dipper is or she's not running into the supernatural as often as Dipper is. I feel that it was just a joke comment about the vampire, since in Boss Mabel, we also didn't see Dipper's adventures in capturing the gremoblin. If it was purely his perspective, wouldn't we have left with Dipper to see him capture it instead of seeing Mabel's experiences in his absence?

they focus on dipper slightly more then mable but we have seen her adventures without dipper being there and you guys are deciding what counts as an adventure based on how much magic is there which doesn't make much sense however its a cool thought and is backed up by the fact he was the narrator in episode 1

@@xmant8842 yeah maincharacter is different then the point of view that the story is told though as in is this a story from the bias of dipper or just an objective recount which is what they talked about here(but yeah dipper is the main character since dipper is based on alex himself)
dipper narrates the 1st and last episodes, and there's an episode with ZERO mabel. it's told from dipper's perspective.

While Dipper is the main character, it isn’t mainly from his perspective. So it’s safe to say that scenes focusing on other characters are accurate. Plus, they’ve hinted at other adventures that we didn’t see happen in the show, some of which the Lost Adventures graphic novel revealed.

As a kid that shared a room I dreaded it because of having to share a room and them being insanely loud and rowdy, the best thing to happen was them deciding to sleep in the living room because they had this “activity” where they rolled down staircase, some one is put into a round tall basket with a lid on it and then they are pushed down the stairs.
If they were doing it that it meant I could have the room to myself 😌 but it’s a miracle no one ever got hurt.

I think when it comes to Summer Romances, Mabel really did hit it off with Mermando even though in Season 2 it ended in a sad way.
So no joke, Stan getting stuck to the floor reminded me of something that happened to me as a kid. It started off a normal day but for some reason when I went to go bathe, my shirt wouldn't come off or rather the back was stuck to my skin. No idea why it happened but I had like a small circle of skin that literally felt like it was glued. Long story short, my mom carefully tore the shirt off and it turned out fine. Only the top layers were stuck so it didn't even end up bleeding. Though I do wonder to this day why my shirt stuck to me but I guess I'll never know. XD

Gotta be honest, I always thought that Carpet Deium was the weakest episode of the series, cuase whenever they called up an old sci-fi or fantasy trope they usually tried to put a unique spin on it, this was just a fairly by-the-numbers body swap story.
