In 1979 young Donna, Tanya and Rosie graduate from Oxford University -- leaving Donna free to embark on a series of adventures throughout Europe. On her journeys, she makes the acquaintances of Harry, Bill and Sam -- the latter whom she falls in love with, but he's also the man who breaks her heart. In the present day, Donna's pregnant daughter, Sophie, dreams of renovating a taverna while reuniting with her mother's old friends and boyfriends on the Greek island of Kalokairi.

yeah, bothers me too....I remember the scene where Donna says someone "up there" is punishing her and she bets it's her mother. Makes me wonder if the makers of mamma mia 2 thought that everyone would be too stupid to notice/ remember that scene. But I agree, Cher is amazing

When those fireworks went off, so did the theater. Everyone on their feet jumping and screaming. Kids, adults, grandparents. This was off the hook and proves Cher is the one and only.

I could just imagine that sound stage with Cher holding forth with that song with that iconic sound of hers. I can picture every member of the cast and crew standing there mesmerized and awed.
This ABBA song already packs an ear worm wallop, but in Cher's performance, it becomes something else again. It takes your breath away and, with her dramatic presence and prodigious acting chops - mixed with those of Andy Garcia - makes this scene truly epic!
