The DVC comes with spring terminals. They will be 99.00 each They actually perform well and definitely will hold 750 rms . Model # Ive tested is ATG12W1500 4ohm DVC cone is smooth poly . It has dual 8 guage spring terminals. Mine were purchased directly from audiotogo . Ive noticed over many years of messing with car audio that if you buy from secondary companies your getting prototypes
To be fair the timpano voice coil is 2.4” and the atg is 2” so the magnet diameter size difference is pretty much non existent you just don’t see it. Also the extra height and surround size specs say is only 2mm more xmax. So overall you have 4 pounds lighter sub that could be used in a smaller enclosure. Also on atg website it shows the svc and dvc subs have different cone look that your seeing and experienced.
I have used ATG for quite a while. Its a DB Drive entry level sub. I am curious as to how youre comparing a DVC sub to a SVC sub. not quite apples to apples
@Moegneto 1st, wasn't trying to be combative, I was simply saying that ATG is a subline of DB Drive. My initial statement was asking how you compared a single voice coil to a dual voice coil sub. the ATG is aa single voice coil sub and the Timpano is a dual voice coil sub
also, I may be wrong. I can not find anything anywhere stating that they're sister companies. lol and thats what happens when you take the guys word for it from the install shop. Possibly my mistake. Either way, I have a ATG12W3500 4 ohm reduced to 2 and its been a beast. Dont I feel stupid lol
Fwiw less surround = more cone volume = more sound but less excursion. That other sub has the cone of a 10 with all that surround... So you're not gonna actually listen to it?

Their other lines seem pretty beefy but I hadn’t seem any in action. I am sure this was an isolated incident.
Remind me of an old mtx audio sub back in the late 80s lol .

Looks like it comes out the same build house as the Walmart Jensen subs
Ya know i could see a not so fancy box so long as the quality is in the product but yea i don't see it ether bro
Bro I'm telling ya golden eagle has some sick subs for the price 150 to 200 bux
The atg subs are not bad especially the better lines.
SVC those should be like 79.99
250 to 300 watts max.
The atg sub that's the more better series are pretty nice this is a great entry tho
Which one gets lower in a ported-to-spec enclosure? The Timpano sub, or the SDR?
Skar with a Skar box

Not sure what you are referring to. I do not discuss db drive at all. You might want to watch the video again.

That atg sub is the most cookie cutter sub in the planet that sub should be 49.99 max
Those are male spade connections.
May be a medium roll
