Hey man whats your thoughts on replacing my factory bose sub with something better? I dont want a box but im not sure if using the factory location with a stronger sub would yeild much more bass
It all depends on what kind of Bose system you have bro. But in general a stronger sub will most certainly benefit you. Just don’t go too big bc your factory amp wasn’t made to push a gigantic aftermart sub 😅
I ask this because a rattle could mean the speaker is loose from its spot and literally shakes like coins in a pocket, parts of the car are shaking like my moon roof slide cover door thing rattles so I used some foam to stop it, or it’s blown and busted. Ideally either of those two before the last. Broken subs have a distinguished sound it makes though. It sounds like someone’s dragging a stick across a metal corrugated garbage bin. It’s got a springiness in the sound. Also if you are determined to actually get it fixed, inevitably you’ll have to take some covers off which won’t be hard. Ideally if you see the whole thing rattle maybe a new rubber ring to dampen the vibrations needs to be put in place. My car had a garbage foam ring that turned to dust after 20 years of existing in Mississippi heat. If not, check to see if it’s coming from it. Like move around the car and make sure is the sub itself. Like eco location. And if it’s determined to be the sub, then damn. Uh I would recommend just looking into buying a new one or fixing it. Sometimes some springs and whatnot(not likely) are loose. But overall that’s about it in seeing what the problem is. Before you put in a new one, look up your previous ones wattage(ability to take power) ie so it doesn’t blow again, and some misc stuff that’s pretty simple to learn. The hard part is actually finding the info on the sub and the actually doing it part.
@showtimewest1940 Im currently running 4 aftermarket speakers, no sub. I have it so I almost don't need a sub. 15 band graphic EQ and a basic parametric EQ gets me a decent amount of low end. However, I still wouldn't mind a sub just to push it a little more. currently looking at a pioneer powered Sub . Im subscribed now. you got a new fan here.
A box with 6 of them will rock. Hell might got to do it now😂
U might be right bro! 😅🔊
This is my kind of dyno set up 😂🎉

Get a subwooferwith a high sensitivity
Aye g, if I put a single Rockford fosgate p3 in a caddy with 800 watt amp, why does it sound so low and unsatisfying
Could be that the box ain’t built right and also that your gains may be set incorrectly bc the p3s get down bro
Nice but its cheap. It would make a nice surround sound subwoofer if you had 4 of those 😁
That’s very true! If it does good in my next test. Imma keep this bad boi! 🦾🦾
So im curous my subs make a rattling noise is there anyway i could almost delete that in my car
What type of rattling noise?

How Manu watts do you put in that ?
Wouldn’t put any more than 2-300 watts on these bad boys
I just put one on 1000 watts in my trunk in a prefab ported box, it's sounds great but it's only been a few days
sounds like a rat farting on a can. i love it!
Love that vivid description lmao
I cracked up when I saw the can after reading comment
