The Audiopipes coil spec is likely accurate but slightly deceiving, just savvy marketing. When the majority say 3" or 4" coil it's a size catagory but the actual dimension is always larger. A "3" coil's actual OD is typically 3.18" to over 3.3" , it all varies from round vs flat wire and the layer count. Quite often people think flat wire coils are better but it's just a way of keeping the diameter from not getting to big, an 8 layer round wire would require a huge coil gapan theres usually two gap sizes in performance subs gaps for 4 layer and 8 layer and you can put a 4 layer coil in an 8 layer gap but the big clearance will lower the motor force, it's done by brands in the past but that's usually on budget subs to allow for no chance of coil rub from sloppy assembly and low quality machining.

I see them all the time at all the shows around here in Louisiana. I can confirm that Savard is and has been a damn good company. They're working on a new subwoofer line that I'm excited for. I guarantee that you'll be seeing them in a lot of builds coming soon. I may even switch from Fi Audio to the new subs coming out from Savard.
Seems reasonable in the line-up, but the VXF will absolutely destroy the Savard. I get that you personally *like* the company, as do I, but ratings free from bias, based on actual science does matter; yes, even in 2021. Pretty much all the other subwoofers will outperform the Savard to be honest. Savard has about half the motor force of the VXF, and 25% less force than the BDC4. The Savard is more aligned with the SA15, and even then I'm pretty sure most people would choose the Sundown.
I also factor in the way a subwoofer performs sonically and while the vxf is powerful if I’m doing a bit of critical listening I prefer the Hi-Q and VXF, but I totally get why most would go strictly off of output.

Man I love your videos but sometimes it feels like you're just hyping up the big brands besides Savard. Where's Deaf Bonce and Resilient Sounds subs? Both are clearly superior to Sundown, Skar and Kicker. And the quality from Deaf Bonce and RS are second to none.
I try to only recommend stuff I’ve used and I don’t have any experience with Deaf Bonce. I do on the other hand have some experience with the Resilient Sounds RS line and while they do get loud I personally didn’t care for the way it sounded and that’s why it didn’t make the list.

@@HifiVega me either!!! Use them all the time!!!
Thanx Rob !
1. Sundown zv6
2. G2 Dynamics Genesys
3. Deaf Bonce apocalypse 3012
4. Crossfire xt3
5. Incriminator audio Judge
Oh top 5 under 300 woops I read that wrong lol

Welcome aboard man!
@@HifiVega your a cool cat.
Come on Man ,no Rockville !
No sir
Not this time lol
The Destroyer is better than that weak L7.
Nvx15 over the Kicker
I keep seeing the same brands and to be honest, none of the people I know use these brand. Let’s raise the price and rate
Orion
Alpine
JL
Focal
Fi audio ssdv4 right @$299
Vega 3000w RMS 15 inch under 500
Do you know ?
Need a top 5 under $500 lol
This is like the how to bass starter pack lol. I agree with a couple of these but I’ve had a Savard hi-q and it was far from impressive but it looks like you and Big D are fans for some odd reason 🤑💵. In any case, why no DC Audio, FU Audio, American Bass, Stereo Integrity, FI Audio, B2 Audio, etc?
I love the Hi-Q for its sound and output, but I’m not a heavy spl guy
Sundown SA , Audiopipe & Kicker are bested by Power Acoustics BAMF Rockville Punisher and Destroyer models not to mention the American Bass XFL... those push terminals and baskets on the audiopipe are trash 😂😂
Yo, love the content! But damn do I wanna spend some money now bwahahah
That honorable mention!
Add it to cart and then delete lol it makes me feel better anyways
@@HifiVega
Lol I'll have to try that!!! 🤣🤣🤣
I'm watching your "Top 5 SQ Amps under $500". Have you thought of doing a SQ 4 or 5 channel Amp video? I have an Alpine SA-55V amplifier. Honestly it's the first amp I've ever purchased. I'm still kind of new to car audio. But yeah I heard you see any info about this specific amplifier.
@@myronjansen2165 yeah I’ve been thinking about doing a top 5 (5) channel amps list
@@HifiVega
That would be really awesome. My other amp choice was the JBL Club A5055.
I only use sundown in my two rides. But I wish MTX make a come back. They havnt bothered with R&D since shallow mount became a thing... it seems that way at least .
But Ill never forget my 15" MTX black gold sub in a sq sealed box :D
MTX Road Thunder 4000 series 12in, probly 30 years old- still bumps! Have 2 but the puppies ate the surround and cone off one of them- so sad.
Black and Gold!!
Lol another Sundown fanboy Well I guess your the coolest person in the world good for you mommy must be real proud of you you deserve a gold star 🤦🏽♂️

Nice picks, nvx vcw154 kills that sundown 20mm xmaxx, 200oz triple stacked motor, 1krms all day 3" DVC #fatboy
#soundrive ... sda3 15
I tried to come up with my own list but I can't ...this is a great 👍 list especially with the savards as #1 ..those are probably be my next subs or a single stereo integrity sql 12
SI makes great subs!
No my brother you're Hella funny!!!!
Thanks homie!
@@HifiVega well I would definitely recommend stepping into the world of Deaf Bonce brother!
@@itsmewangle9030 I plan to give one a try at some point!
