If you're like me and always seem to drop or pick up a stitch, use some stitch markers every 10 stitches. 2 reasons! 1 it helps to hold the seams together evenly. 2 it's a way of making sure that there are an even number of stitches before the sides are stitched together. Unpicking a seam that's invisible is a huge pain.
@nanascraftyhome So I now have your pattern downloaded. Do you also have a video tutorial for it? I have watched your video on how to make the interlocking arched columns. Is that actually what you do for the entire potholder? I'm not real good at reading patterns yet so I'm really hoping you have a video tutorial. 🤞🙏
@nanascraftyhome I'm guessing you missed my question. But with some help from another crocheter, I finished the potholder! Now I'm here to see how to do the seams. Thank you for the video.
Hi! What a great idea and tutorial! Thank you for such clear and concise instructions! Do you have an ad free pd pattern for the mosaic square, not the one you use in the tutorial? I see the free pattern but ad free is easier for me. Just wondering. Thanks.😊
So glad you found the tutorial helpful! I do have an ad-free PDF for the Mosaic Medley Square as well as the Ribbon Mosaic Square. I wasn't sure which one you meant so here are the links for each one: nanascraftyhome.com/product/mosaic-medley-pot-holder-crochet-pattern-ad-free-pdf/ and nanascraftyhome.com/product/ribbon-mosaic-solid-granny-square-crochet-pattern-ad-free-pdf/ I hope that helps!
Happy to help! I recommend a cotton yarn for pot holders as acrylic can scorch under heat. However, some people have lots of acrylic on hand and don't mind replacing them frequently. In fact, my aunt loves making pot holders and uses acrylic for hers and just makes more when they need to be replaced. I hope that helps!
Thank you so much - so glad you love it! The stitch I used for the pot holder shown is called the Interlocking Arches Stitch and you can find the stitch tutorial here: th-cam.com/video/OO42SZ5AENE/w-d-xo.html 💕🌸
Please, what yarn is the self striping yarn exactly? That are so beautiful colors. And I am waiting for the pattern of the first potholders you showed. Thank you. ♥
Happy to help! The self-striping yarn shown in the first potholder is I Love This Cotton! Print in colorway Pink/Green/Purple. The pattern is now available here: nanascraftyhome.com/easy-crochet-potholder-made-from-a-square/ I am so glad you like it! 💕🌸
@@nanascraftyhome Thank you Tonya. I'm sorry that this yarn isn't available in Germany. I 'm looking for a similar yarn. The page you have linked I have seen already, but is that the pattern of the first (striped) potholder? It seems to me as an other design? But I mean the design of the striped one. Like the first foto here shows. 🤷 The foto on the page ist right but the pattern?
@@bine9526 Yes, the link I shared is for the pot holder pattern shown in the first photo on the thumbnail. I made one with the white as the background and one with the white in the front - basically reversing the order of the colors for each one. So it may look different to you for that reason. But it is the same stitch pattern. I hope that helps!
So glad you like it! You can find the free pattern for the Ribbon Mosaic Square which is the square I am using for the tutorial here: nanascraftyhome.com/ribbon-mosaic-granny-square/. The free pattern for the Mosaic Medley pot holder will be a free pattern released very soon and I will add the link to the description of this video once it is available. I hope that helps!

Hi... Thank you for your video.. in your opinion, what is the best type of yarn to use for potholders? Thx

Yes! We Agree…We Hope Tonya Will show us how to make her Pretty Squares too!
So, is a whip stitch using ONLY the top loops. Im only now learning how to join.
You can actually use both loops to whip stitch but I prefer using just one loop as the join ends up being less bulky. I hope that helps! 💕
. That's what I figured. Thank you.
