Hey I had the same problem with the corded version 2023. The blade will jump out of the guide and cut at an angle and really screw up your cut, causing it to meander all over the place. I threw mine in the trash. My other tools from Bauer work great, but the jigsaw will not hold the cutting blade straight in the guide, especially for thicker wood such as 3/4 in my case
Thank you for the video. I’m not interested in having to square up and adjust my tools right out of the box. Poor quality assurance in my opinion. I’m looking to get a new jig saw and after watching your video I think I’m going with the Dewalt 20v
Ur supposed to use level 0 for metal and hardwood. The higher levels have an orbital action to that allows thr blade to move in a circular motion. The higher the number the larger the orbit.
I have used a Bosch corded jigsaw for the last 10+ years with no problems but it was getting old. I'm slowly transitioning my tools over to battery power and I decided to try this one since I already had the battery and charger for a leafblower. I ended up keeping the saw and I have since used it in thin, .120" steel with no issues.
DeWalt. On most all my battery tools. Even if i have save while to get it. I Try catch deals. Buy batteries get free tool deals. Just me only because have mostly DeWalt batteries few 6ah,5,2 and one 1.5 lol😂 good for a light.
You cut that thick of stuff with a skilsaw dude that is way to thick for a jigsaw, jigsaws are meant for ¾ plywood or thinner! It's not the jigsaws fault it's yours heck you would have to slow down with a skilsaw on that thick of stuff!
you know you can get plywood thicker than what I was cutting dont you? Its a little tricky to cut curves with a circular saw but maybe you know a trick that I dont. Also, the length of the jigsaw blade vs the saws stroke determines how thick of material you can cut.
My Bauer corded jigsaw was a piece of crud. I bought a small Dewalt jigsaw with Diablo nice smooth blades and it cut perfect in a curve or straight at 3/4 inch
Yeah definitely get on DeWalt or Milwaukee. Going battery i like Ryobi because selection but i don't own them go DeWalt. Buddy got Milwaukee there good to. There 12 volt stuff great. Now recently got hyper tough 12 v cause cheap ratchet ad drill got drill 23$ only y because wanted extra battery it 20 alone yeah drill bat charger 23 . Got fast charger 4ah batt 45$ ok working on cars stuff not as powerful as Milwaukee but save me lot time spinning wrenches And ratchets. Id like try deealt ratchet. Maybe spring time be able get it. Kids don't need something. Good video sucky product. Stay safe from ur ole hillbilly buddy.
Looks good

You have to slide the plate forward and then you can adjust it

Have you used a jigsaw in the past to cut this material in this thickness? If not what did you use?

@TMBchopshop yes I know that and you don't cut it usually with a jigsaw most people use a skilsaw or band saw that will burn the best of jigsaws up!
@@joeysweet9045 how do you cut compound curves with a skilsaw?
@@TMBchopshop bandsaw!

Wow that's junk, I have a lot of Bauer tools but I won't be buying that saw. Thanks for letting us know.
You really owe Bauer an apology and promise to stay off the internet with their tools!
I guess you missed the part where it literally fell apart 5 minutes into using it.
Total crap. Stops running as soon as it hits wood.
