Yup. You are right. I remember when I bought it that the clearance and new version were only a few dollars apart. I bought the updated, and the laser guide was deleted. One thing I like about my corded version is that the cordless does not have is a port for a vacuum hook up. But I’m glad I have both cause they serve different purposes. Anyway, liked your video. Thanks for the work
I wonder if they changed anything in the new model mechanically (gears, motor etc...) to make it better or if it was just a cost issue to leave out the laser? I'm always curious about the performance and longevity of Bauer products. If you get a chance to use it on some projects, please let me know what you think of the updated model.
I own Ryobi because that's what I grew up with but if I had seen your review before I invested in a platform things would be different

Hmmm My 4 day old jigsaw has no mention in the manual of a laser guide. Nor does it have the button. Know anything about that? Same model #
Hello Bob, thanks for watching. It seems like Bauer has updated this Jig Saw model recently and has not included a laser guide. When I go to the Harbor Freight website it seems like the model that has the laser guide (I show in this video) is on clearance. So maybe they are replacing this model with one that does not ??? I have not tested the new one, so I don't know if it is better update than the older model. Thanks again for watching.
