The administratum personnel that sent him there was to use the last survivor of his regiment to train local pdf of the world as a retired soldier. But the locals mistook the word retired and just left him as just another pensioner. Though it was odd that he is only 22.
@@mikaruyami yeah that's the point his paperwork says retired and his age being 22 the locals have no idea that is ancient for a Krieger on top of that even if the locals do have a PDF it's probably a once a year on a regional rotation so there is an mobilised military availble and training rather than a standing army so our lad here is sent to just one region (because they dont realise he would fine constantly moving across the world) and is only going to be doing drill Sargent duties 1/12 ish times a year
They should put him in charge of plumbing and water supplies Trenches need canals to move all that water out so he knows how it works and with just some modifications he can make a great watering system

Then the krieger would probably be shot by his commissar. Some Kriegers do waver in their zeal and are shot if that does occur. This is the same reason why Krieg’s regiments are to operate independently of other imperial support so their ideology and zealous beliefs are not changed.
Imagine: A Krieg as a protagonist of an Isekai, transported to a peacefull farming village in the middle of a beautiful nowhere Krieg: "I was sent to HELL!" I think a kriegsman could be an excellent farmer. He is good at following orders, and borderline tireless, and has an enormous willpower. All he needs is the knowledge of how to do it, and he will work on the field all day, and night to provide that little food he make for the rest of the imperium. Might not be as glorious as a battle, but essential to the Imperium regardless.

I like to think that this was a social experiment carried out by imperial researchers, probably over a lost bet. I hope that Krieger finds happiness on that Agri world. It would make a cute series to see him find a job, settle down, start a family, etc.

James: Tomy if you don't finish you will only dealy also even if all regiments were unequal, there is a reasonable guess that other battles will finish before this one so get done with it!
I'd honestly like to see a German WW2 Veteran interact with this Krieger. The two of them talking about they're Experiences in War, and a part in the conversation where the Veteran explains to the Krieger that life isn't just about Dying for the Emperor to repent for your sins, sometimes there's other ways where you can repent that doesn't involve death. And that he should value his time left alive as well as the people that know him and care about him, like the girl he was talking to and find a way to live his life to the fullest. This small interaction could have a major impact on the Krieger. The next time he would fight a Battle, he wouldn't want to die to repent for his sins, he'd want to live for the People that welcomed, accepted, and cared for him. And that would inspire him to Fight harder than ever before.
@@schmeatgaming853 I think a WW1 stormtrooper (special type of German soldiers) would be far more fitting to meet a kreiger since the death corps are supposed to be experts in WW1 styled war fare or at least something like that plus the kreiger uniform looks like a good cross between german and french troops (i think a bit more in there as well) of ww1 so they would also look some what vaguely simulier
I can imagine a whole story with this guy slowly integrating into the population, marrying, getting lots of kids for the emperor only for the planet to be invaded and this old Krieger taking up arms, rallying the locals and holding out the defences against the aliens till reinforcements finally arrive. Before the planet is saved he of course dies but in his dying moments he looks around and seeing (some) his children survive he learns why the emperor needed men like him to fight. Not for the forgiveness of sins but for the survival of humanity.
He found his place of repentance. And along the way, he did what few of his kind could ever do. He left his own legacy. Something for a generation to aspire to. On his final moments.... he prays that their -his children and their children- deeds may one day be worth inspired.

To be fair the the kriegsman most herbivores are actually facultative herbivores meaning though they more often then not eat plants, they can consume meat. So their horses doing so isn’t as crazy as it sounds.

This was too sweet. It's soul-crushing that Kriegers just don't get civvie life and the fact that they fight for it. But it always brings a smile to my face when the DK are put in a fish-out-of-water situation like this.
I have already seen the second one but I have a comment that I feel like leaving. I see this Krieger to be a test to see if they are even capable of reintegrating back into the imperium society without coming off as the deranged war maniacs we are all use to. That is as long as this story does not turn out to be some sort of chaos god trick (I know very little on 40k but I have some ideas on how it works but for every lore video that get’s recommended I understand it slightly more)

I mean....if you do a little bit of work, a kreigers trench work can become new homes and housing for people, along with shops, storage, and other things.

It feels so alien for someone to humanise a Krieger, even by a smidge. It’s almost comparable to the Master Chief doing a face reveal all of a sudden.

Tomy: So just put them to regular soldier duty?
James: Tomy if you don't finish you will only dealy also even if all regiments were unequal, there is a reasonable guess that other battles will finish before this one so get done with it!
I'd honestly like to see a German WW2 Veteran interact with this Krieger. The two of them talking about they're Experiences in War, and a part in the conversation where the Veteran explains to the Krieger that life isn't just about Dying for the Emperor to repent for your sins, sometimes there's other ways where you can repent that doesn't involve death. And that he should value his time left alive as well as the people that know him and care about him, like the girl he was talking to and find a way to live his life to the fullest. This small interaction could have a major impact on the Krieger. The next time he would fight a Battle, he wouldn't want to die to repent for his sins, he'd want to live for the People that welcomed, accepted, and cared for him. And that would inspire him to Fight harder than ever before.
@@schmeatgaming853 I think a WW1 stormtrooper (special type of German soldiers) would be far more fitting to meet a kreiger since the death corps are supposed to be experts in WW1 styled war fare or at least something like that plus the kreiger uniform looks like a good cross between german and french troops (i think a bit more in there as well) of ww1 so they would also look some what vaguely simulier

I can imagine a whole story with this guy slowly integrating into the population, marrying, getting lots of kids for the emperor only for the planet to be invaded and this old Krieger taking up arms, rallying the locals and holding out the defences against the aliens till reinforcements finally arrive. Before the planet is saved he of course dies but in his dying moments he looks around and seeing (some) his children survive he learns why the emperor needed men like him to fight. Not for the forgiveness of sins but for the survival of humanity.

To be fair the the kriegsman most herbivores are actually facultative herbivores meaning though they more often then not eat plants, they can consume meat. So their horses doing so isn’t as crazy as it sounds.
Sometimes even soldiers hell bent ln redemption and endless war must remember why they fighting, for who, and for what, the God Emperor gave everything for mankind, and as his children we must protect humanity, both ours and those that cant protect themselves

I see this Krieger to be a test to see if they are even capable of reintegrating back into the imperium society without coming off as the deranged war maniacs we are all use to.
That is as long as this story does not turn out to be some sort of chaos god trick (I know very little on 40k but I have some ideas on how it works but for every lore video that get’s recommended I understand it slightly more)

have him dig grounds to prepare for planting, he's good at digging holes, improve efficiency of farming. who knows, reasonable amount manual labor is good for the body and soul of all emperor fearing men.
