"I own Gauss Weapons for home defense, since that's what the Necrontyr intended. Four Sons of Horus invade my planet. 'What the C'Tan?' I shout as I grab my Necrodermis wig and Gauss Flayer. Disintegrate the first Astartes at an atomic level, he's dead on the spot. Draw my Tachyon Arrow on the second man, miss him entirely because I haven't maintained it for 65 million years and nails the neighbors' grox. I have to resort to the Heavy Gauss Cannon mounted at the top of the stairs charged at full power, 'Tally ho mortals' the energy atomizes two marines in the blast, the sound and extra shrapnel set off car alarms. Raise my Hyperphase Glaive and charge the last terrified meatbag. He bleeds out waiting on the Apothecary to arrive since Hyperphase wounds are impossible to stitch up. Just as the Necrontyr intended."

*I own a Guass Rifle for home defence, since that's what the founding Triarchs intended. Four ruffians break into my tomb, "What the C'tan?!" As I grab my necrodermis-coated wig and Khet'Tuhki rifle. Blow a Resurrection Orb sized crater through the first man, he's dead on the spot. Draw my Guass ring weapon on the second man. Miss him entirely because it's wide-beam, and nails the Cryptek's scarab. I have to resort to the C'tan Shard mounted at the top of the Sarcophagus loaded with scatter-beam shot. "Tally Ho, Lads!" The shot shreds two men in the blast. The sound and extra tears in Space-Time set off Tomb World alarms. Fix bayonet, and charge the last terrified rapscallion. He bleeds out waiting for the Mechanicus to arrive since molecular Guass bayonet wounds are impossible to stitch up. Just as the founding Triarchs intended.*

Then coming down via drop pod, Horus Heresy sees the situation. Quaking in his large ceramite boots, proclaiming that "there will be no more heresy," while weeping. The Emperor hearing that his favorite son, "Horus Heresy 30k Age of Darkness," has lost, he quickly arrives on the planet. He sees the situation around him and does a backflip splitting the planets crust in one blow, proceeds to say "gracias" in a southern accent and proceeds to fuck off saying all part of the plan. Thus saving the entirety of Warhammer 40k.

I now see, why a Necron may create something like a Necron Pariah. They are their emotional support puppy. Only that Necrons have a way to keep their beloved pet from dying.
Wasn't there more "Hybrids"? I mean, there were the pariahs, but those were specifically blanks.
I distinctly remember either reading or watching a Video when I freshly got into 40k, where it mentioned, that sometimes Necrons created Hybrids, that were not fully Necron, which they used as diplomats.

Because that would make the xenos too human and relatable, eating into marine shares. Heck, the Tau actually have large numbers of human, even in their military, but there's not a human auxiliary line of minis for them. So of course the Necrons won't get human friends beyond offhand mentions in a book here and there.

There was an interesting idea in the Twice Dead King: Ruin when I read it.
That a lot of (sentient) necrons are seconds away from a breakdown. They can never dwell on their current nature or they will find themselves trying to draw breath with lungs they don't have, panic that their heart isn't beating and that their skin is gone. Sounds like a rather dreadful existence.
Oh and also another funny one was that necron nobles retain their titles from life so one guy was called the 'Grainmaster' and his warriors had grain symbols etched onto them which was rather ironic.

As wholesome and heart-warming as this is, it also highlights the underlying tragedy.
Despite being virtually immortal and master over a legion of hyper-advanced soldiers...this Necron noblewoman desires the simple yet transcendantal feeling of maternal instincts once again.
To hold and nurture newborn life so full of innocence and potential. Holding the infant gives her that spark of that feeling, and even in it's diminished state it's just as precious as the child.
Yet it also a reminder that she nor any Necron can produce offspring such as this. No Necrontyr children will ever be born again from loving Necrontyr parents.
Yet that is no fault of this child or the nearby parents. Thus she'd rather focus on the spark of joy in her cold, metallic arms. To give to this family what she can no longer have to draw that spark out more, than wallow in cold darkness.

That’s why the ultimate ambition of the Necrons is to return to living bodies, with humans being decidedly the best template for them. But before they can do so they want to make the galaxy safe for their future flesh selfs, and many have grown mad and forgotten this dream across millions of years.

Phaero An-nakhrimun saw the so-called "beloved son of the Emperor" She had snatches of such a being, but she was hard pressed to find such a thing as the Emperor anything short of unoriginal. However, this "Primarch" Horus did not show any signs of relent when it came to foreign species. But An-nakhrimun had planned for such an emergency. It was strange. For as many years as she had lived, she found the relatively brief time she spent with her new family had given her a sense of purpose she had lacked. In that time she had prepared for any situation that would warrant quick evacuation of the planet. It had taken time to dig up the entrance once again, and more to restore the ship, but it was ready. The main chamber had been equipped with comforts that An-nakhrimun had long since not needed. Beds, taken from their home, along with agri-chambers, already blooming with the promise of food. An-nakhrimun even put in toys, for the young one would still be young for a time. She escorted the humans into the ship, all while cheers of a people welcoming what they thought their salvation was echoed in the distant city. The start was rough, but the force of dirt was not enough to keep the ship in the ground. Finally, with a mighty heave, the ship tore free of its prison of dirt, and hurtled into the sky with the energetic desperation of a bird leaving a burning nest. The ship had left realspace before the Sons of Horus could even turn their guns. However, they did not bother to follow. Their purpose was to take planets, and they would not bother with a lone vessel leaving a world that was well in their grasp.
    Y:354 M:41
Field Brother Kash'vall of the Salamanders holstered his flamer in disgust, the canister depleted after what seemed like endless Tyranids falling to his flames. He drew his Sicarus pistol, ready to face the oncoming wave. Sister Westeral began her litany, petitioning the Emperor for strength. With a final nod, she was finished, and revved her chainsword, eager to bring glory to the Emperor or die trying. The first few gave easily, but the horrific being that they were, the Tryanids would not give up, nor be cowed. But from behind Kash'vall came a burst of electric green light. All before them the Tyranids and cultists crumbled to dust, as if time had become their foe. They turned to see a strange sight. The woman held a Gauss Flayer in her hands, and her helmet retracted, not so much through hinges, but as if the very metal was liquid. The armor held little in the way of regalia, and aside from mild gold and green accents the suit was a majority of dull gunmetal grey. The make of it held no form of engraving, nor any sense of theme, aside from minor indents along the sides and front of the torso, meant to signify a rib cage. This was not armor meant for opulence. It did not play at a higher purpose. It was just armor. Yet the make of it looked such that it seemed to do its job like none other. After a brief silence between the bewildered soldiers and their savior, the woman finally spoke.
"I am Minerva An-makhrimun, desendant of the great Phearo, savior of the first mother and father. I have come here with my family. Do you accept our aid?"
The two looked at each other, then at the state of the battle around them. The answer was obvious.
"Whatever aid you offer, we cannot guarantee your welcome among the ranks."
Minerva said nothing, but merely touched two fingers to her earpiece and said: "Send the fleet."
From the heavens came a massive Necron ship, baring its guns on the monstrous hoards. Brother Kash'vall had deliver the odd message that the xenos ship was in fact on their side. What they did not know was that the ship was piloted and maintained by the growing family that was saved from jaws of the crusade, the fleet built from countless centuries of piracy and trading with the few who would. An-nakhrimun had been busy. She had known little woe for a very long time.

Reminds me of this campaign idea I had where a Necron Pharon woke up to find a Feudal World had taken root on the planet and decided to just keep his armies asleep rationalizing it wasn't worth wiping out the primitives and would go to their settlements in disguise from time to time, the whole time convincing himself he couldn't care about these primitives because that would require empathy which he couldn't have without a soul, until an Ork WAGH begins attacking the planet forcing the Pharon to awaken his armies to protect the people of this planet reasoning he doesn't actually care about them but they are living on his planet therefore these humans belong to him and he's not going to let a bunch of Orks destroy his things. If the Necrons managed to win the campaign I would have had the Pharon march his armies back into their tombs and renter their slumber leaving the planet with tales of a mythic warrior king coming to save them with invincible armies from the hordes of monsters from the stars who know lays in eternal sleep until needed again so that when the Imperium arrives they just assume those stories are about the Great Crusade and the world is peacefully reabsorbed into the Imperium, becoming the recruitment world for a homebrew Iron Hands chapter I have fiddling with on and off.

Small bit of 40k trivia - there's a necron unit called Triarch Praetorian. Canonically they're necron adventurers, who were tasked with educating young races in preparation for return of necrons. They're current lore explanation why necrons look like Tomb Lords ie ancient human cultures in all areas where you can find pyramids were influenced by necrons. That includes Egypt, Mesopotamia, China and Mesoamerica. Now combine it with the existence of Pariah gene.
One can even wonder if our mutual hate with Eldar comes from the fact that our cultures are based on necrontyr ones so we're biased to hate one another?
Plus if anything, humans during DAoT came closest to actually saving necron race. Not helping them reconquer the galaxy, but actually save them. Vohtann and Men of Iron are statements on the fact that humans were able to build sentient machines and thus, though with a lot of effort, they could have upgraded the "mute" chassis types like warrior and gave them free will. Figuring out the body and especially soul issues would have taken longer though 😅

Especially when you consider the various goodies Trazen might have squirreled away.

I love 40k for many things. When you start, it's all about the biggest wars, the biggest armies. Then you plundge deep down and you see the individual level, where you follow the inquisitor, the lone space marine squad. Then you go even deeper and you see the stories of the infantryman, the ganger, and the hive worker. The more you immerse yourself in 40k, the more you see this universe at the eye level of the normal person.
For this video, many people will find those kind of stories "Boring", "Lore-breaking", "Hoping it will get more grimdark with flayer virus or being a dream". But 40k happens in a galaxy. A galaxy is mind boggingly big. And I like to think those stories can happen in that vast emptiness with millions of possibilities. All write, or told with passions by someone who care.
That's what your channel and stories feels to me. Thank you. For all of them.

The realization that the status of Necrons was a matter of willpower was shocking - in some ironic twist of fate, she survived the same process that left her mother mindless.
A simple decision to stay outside, led to her being an unwitting cultural icon to the primitive species that flourished and destroyed itself around her.

It wouldn't be until the Tyranids that she would be forced to act, gathering all the humans in her ship so that they will be safe from the raging conflict on the planet and then helping rebuild their homes before going back to sleep. This suddenly inspired me of an awesome idea of an original Astartes Legion. It is implied that one of the lost Primarchs did get involved and allied with Xenos. So what if in a similar scenario to this, an infant Primarch landed on a paradise world ruled over by a Necron Overlord Lady and her dynasty, and was raced together with the other "Pet" humans? The Overlord would notice that the child was different to other humans and would train and outfit him with Necron Technology. Not sure how he would avoid the Emperor not Exterminatusing the planet, but maybe he would do it as a final wish before being given his Legion and then returning to the planet to outfit his Astartes with Necron Tech as well?
The Primarch would maybe even recieve his name from the Necron, with a meaning that may describe how the Overlord felt while raising him. Like Abayomi, meaning "Bringer of Joy", or Adom which means "Receives help from the Gods", or a combination of Egyptian and Arabic names to stick with the theme.
