cant wait to git my hands on a scooter and hit them streets like a boss instant subscribe even though i have 0 mechanical skills never gonna rebuild a scooter but awesome content cant wait to see the finished spree
In UK these used to be sold as a Melody tank was 1/2 gallon imperial, 2 stroke engine with oil injection so seperate oil tank for 2 stroke oil posh version had electric start. 50cc air cooled engine if it has done 5-6k could be coked up in the exhaust.
I was dang near screaming at my phone watching this everytime you took the spark plug out to just throw compression checker on it, it's so easy to do. No hate tho, happy ya figured it out and by the looks of that thing it's probably due for new top end even if it did start. Worn piston rings is almost certainly where flooding issue is coming from too. Good luck, you'll be in the wind with that thing in no time!
Thanks for watching, sorry I got ya so worked up, lol. If I could do it again, I would've checked to compression right after checking the spark. Appreciate your comment. In our next video, we rebuilt it & did get it running.
Me and a buddy bought one for 25 bucks back in 2003 when we where 13, hotwired cleaned carb. Rode the alleys all summer lol
That's awesome. It sounds like fun

Thanks for the support. we appreciate you
Yes, the compression was too low. Hope you can put a new piston assembly on and get it running. I wonder how the reed valve is?
We got the new piston assembly on and got it to start. New video of us putting it in will be out this week, hopefully tomorrow. Thanks for watching
Long time since working on one of these (3 decades) but think they are just piston port no reed.

did it come with a title?
It came with the registration. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Today you're the bug! 😂😂
Yes, we are, lol 😆
I think this scooter only has two piston rings. Easy fix, but 70 lbs of compression should have started. I didn’t see if you checked for spark.
Thanks for watching. we did check the spark. I think it was the exhaust pipe puged up that was not letting it start.
Every bike deserves a second chance even the wife
That's right! Thanks for watching and commenting
Not a moped...no pedals.
