Nice Job.
Thanks!
Pretty outstanding build. Thanks for sharing all of your great ideas and work arounds. I always strive for something similar to this with my builds. I don't feel like I really ever get there, but I learn something new from each one!
Thanks Mike!
God gave the link to this amazing build!!! Thanks for sharing!
Hope it helps!
dude!! this is bad ass. You gave me some great ideas for my fm9, also on the duo 24". Thanks a ton!
Sweet! Glad it helped!
Very nice man. I’m doing the same thing. Very informative.
thanks!
Happy to help, Sir Philip!!!
Nice work and mods. Enjoy looking at this Tom Anderson fiddle again. Not sure sure it's the same you used while giving me lessons over 20 YEARS AGO!!!!
Of course it’s me, Ben! I got some gigs coming up, you should come out🎶🎸. Do you play fractal stuff?
Oh sorry I was thinking that you were asking if it’s me lol, but it’s definitely not the same fiddle. I got two new Anderson’s made for me in 2019.
@@MJsMusicWorks Still running a POD XT. Recently got a Harley Benton Fusion that I upgraded with a DiMarzio Super Distortion. Otherwise still have the Wolfgang for Eb and to play VH stuff.
Amazing ! Thank you so much for this, was looking for Fm9 combination with Duo 24 and it can't get more perfect than this :D I just had one question, what case do you use while carrying it (If local , if via air) ?
Thank you I so appreciate it! It was a labor of love. I had/have every intention of making a video about the case but I was caring for my mom in rapid decline and she passed 8 weeks ago SO maybe I should get my act together eh? If you are on the Fractal forum, or even if your not, go to this link and I talk thru it forum.fractalaudio.com/threads/fm9-travel-cases.177993/post-2550802 I bought the Pelican 1615 Air Hard Case from Color Cases out of Vegas and was delivered in 1 day, and they gave me at least 10% off, may have been more if I remember correctly. Here is a link to the case. I flew with it Flawlessly. Here is Calebs info........

I also have the soft case that came w the Duo 24, but even w Local gigs I prefer and have only used the Pelican.
Hope that helps, all the best!
@@MJsMusicWorks Im so sorry to hear about your mother , very kind of you to still reply on this, best wishes to you. Thank you so much for such detailed reply , you rock !! What I figured is I have an EV1 so which will not fit into duo 24 so may be I have to buy EV2 to fit in now :) and Im not yet on the forum I'll join now, thank you so much once again !
@@Hemanthjoisofficial The forum is an amazing group of people, I have learned everything I know from the forum, so enjoy!
so could you go into more detail on how you fixed the Fm9 onto the board?
The holes of the Temple Audio board match up to a LOT of gear, Fractal included. Literally just line up where you want it on the Temple board. You Will need longer screws than the original screws from fractal. I put links in the video and in the description of what I bought.
@@MJsMusicWorks ok thanks
@@MJsMusicWorks one more question,, do you attach the FM9 using the outer screws either side of it or the two centre screws on fm9?
@@steviemcleanguitar1559 I don’t think it really matters per se. I believe I used the two outside right and the two metal. I think the ones on the left didn’t lineup the way I wanted to with other things that I was mounting from underneath. You certainly don’t need six screws. The board is so stout whatever for you pick is going to be fine.
@@MJsMusicWorks ok thanks for replying
Hi MJ, I'm also MJ. Fantastic work, sir. I have some questions and comments:
1. I am MOST interested in the Amp Mod, and have thus far failed to find any extensive use demos. Would love to hear more of you playing through it!
2. 2:40 Any particular reason you routed XLR outs through the punch plate, rather than mounting an XLR mod on the other side? Was it simple cost reasons?
3. 3:13 VERY interesting! I assumed that the Amp Mod's 24V 4.6A brick would require it's own discreet IEC feed. But you are telling me BOTH the Amp Mod Brick AND the other pedal power source can be fed via 1x AC Mains Micro Mod (safely?)? Whoa.
4. Mounting the IEM was a stroke of genius.
Hello brother Mike! OK there is a lot of questions there so I’ll try to address in the small amount of time that I have elaborate later. 1. There is literally nothing out there when it comes to that little amp. When I get a chance, I will run it through my Marshall 412s for you. 2. The reason I am not using the XLR Mod is because the backside ol the Mod is tip ring sleeve and my output 2 of my fractal FM9 for front of house only hasXLR Out. I use my output, 1 of my FM9 both either tip ring sleeve and XLR out when I’m running my cabinets, sometimes Red Sound FRFR, and sometimes Marshal 4x12 cabinets. So I need the versatility from output 1 of the FM9. Making the XLR Mod for me in this application not an option. 3. If you noticed my IEC micro mod is feeding both my HI5 mod for my wireless units, and the brick for the ampMOD, and my FM nine. via a three-way splitter that I show in the video. It’s basically just a power cable so it can handle being split. 4. thanks on the IEM, Ithink I’m the first person to actually do that and Guitar wireless and the same build. Thx Mike!!
Great work Michael 😃 Regarding the 1/4” Offset clips for the handles, did you use washers to secure them in? I'm trying the same approach but the screw just falls right out. Many thanks
Thank you sir.... OK, so I am not in front of it currently, but I used screws with a locknut on the back, no washer necessary. I can try and get a pick of it later. All the best!
Thank you the great video. It answered so many of my questions and actually raised a couple I hadn't thought of. I screen shot like a mad man. I really appreciate you sharing this. How much does it weigh?
Glad you like it! You can actually download the whole vid w this www.4kdownload.com/products/videodownloader-42 May be better than screenshots for ya. All the best!
This is great! Read my mind, do you think if you took the covers off you would be able to fit without moving the handles?
Sorry, took the covers off of? Be able to fit what?
@@MJsMusicWorks Sorry, not enough coffee. if you Took the plastic end covers off of the FM9, do you think you'd be able to fit both the FM9 and the expression pedal without moving the handles?
No worries. Ya most likely possible. I actually did that w my FC6 on my other board. And also the handles I have thought about removing as it just as easy if not easier to pick it up from underneath. Especially after raising my feet 1/4 or more
I would take one side off and measure how much you gain. 1/4 in on each side maybe?
Hi James, could you explain more on how you mounted the wireless systems? Also did you use the original powersupply of the IEM? I have bulky wall mounted adapter I dont see fitting under the board.
Hi Rob, my apologies for not getting back to you sooner. as far as mounting what is your Q specifically? they are mounted the way any other device would be mounted using the temple audio boards. As far as power supplies are concerned, it's like any other brick, you use the supplied barrel connectors in the proper configuration to the brick. No power adapters from the original units are ever needed when using a brick with barrel connectors.
@@MJsMusicWorks Hi, I think I understand. So you attach the quick release pedal plate to the wireless device and then screw from above of the pedalboard? And on power: the brick also power the wireless systems you attached to the board right? Thanks for replying.
@@robdeveldeharsenhorst8837 My apologies, I didnt realize you were wondering about the quick release plates. No i dont use them at all. I used the screws I talk about in the video with the link on amazon and screwed them straight into the FM9. I did the same with my wireless units. I did the same and used the screws that came with the wireless units and used in some cases a flat washer when needed to keep the screw from wanting to slip thru the slots in the temple audio board. The brick powers the wireless systems and my LEDs
Thank you
Very nice!!
what case do you use to transport your board?
you can see it in this link with pricing forum.fractalaudio.com/threads/fm9-travel-cases.177993/post-2550802
very cool build, love seeing DIY style mods to temple boards as well, i'm running an FM3 and some pedals on a duo24 board, i was wondering how you fit the FM9 and EV-1 on there with those extra handles, but worked out great, the wireless units at the bottom with the antennaes is genius
i've just got the IEC mains module mod for power for both a cioks SOL (pedal power) and the FM3, i plug everything straight in and out of the FM3 otherwise
just wondering for the IEM in, so i guess you're getting a feed sent back from FOH or monitoring straight into your board for the IEMs ?
thanks
Hi Paul, thanks for aston hi. You have a great channel. the Fm9 and EV-1 does not fit UNLESS you either take the handles off or extend them. I chose the latter with some 1/4" Canvas Offset Clips I describe in the video. Yes, I run a feed from the FOH or monitoring into my duo24 via TRS that runs to input 2. Input in my FM9 edit joins output 3 in the single chain allowing me to blend as desired. Then out3 runs to my IEMs in stereo. Just finished my Pelican 1615 for it and need to make a quick vid but caring for my mom takes all my time these days. All the best and let me know if you have any more Qs!
@@MJsMusicWorks ah thanks 🙏 yeah that was some clever DIY with the offset clips, works a treat
interesting IEM/FOH patching, but it means you have complete control through the FM9 and i guess hardly any latency for your guitar in the process, we run everything through a splitter/IEM rack with a Behringer XR18 that also gets sent to FOH , and then controlling levels through the app, works a treat and no worries, family always comes first, take care
@@paulbradshawguitar Ya the Behringer stuff is fab and I use them in a few other musical situations. my main rock gig i am the only one using IEMs as the rest of the band is too stuck n the 80s, ha!
Hey MJ I used your video to help me put together my duo 24 board with a Kemper stage. Can I ask what case you're using when you fly?
Glad it helped! I haven't put together a video for the case as my mom just passed an it was months of care prior to her passing. I got the Pelican air 1615. You can see it in the post forum.fractalaudio.com/threads/fm9-travel-cases.177993/post-2550802
Did you have to take the handles off on the board to fit the ev-2 and fm9?
I share what I did at the 4;45 mark of the video. Hope that helps
@@MJsMusicWorks It does, thanks!
Nice Work!
Thanks!
🤯 I’m calling you for all my electrical plumbing!
Do you have any interference issues with your IME transmitter and your wireless receiver so close together?
Thanks for your question and I want to male sure and want to make sure I am understanding it correctly. both mounted inits are transmitters, one of them the IEM and the other the guitar. then on my person in each back pocket are my IEM body packs, left ear pocket IEM and right rear guitar. Whether in this format or racked in my AXEFXIII I have never had issues. I have however had interference when using my XVivie I'm and guitar wirelesses, as they are cheap cheap lol. Hope that helps!
@@MJsMusicWorks Yes, that answers my question. Thank you. (I was considering the guitar unit on your board a receiver since it receives the guitar signal from you pack.) I've just read that IME and wireless boxes should generally not be in the same rack or close proximity because it can cause interference. It sounds like if I get good quality units, this shouldn't be a problem. Thanks again for your reply! Your video really helped me in building my own board.
Great Build, how is your experience with the Temple Audio Stereo Amplifier Module 100-watt Stereo Amplifier. Is there enough power for a 2x12 Cab?
It's interesting, there is not a lot out in internet land on this lil amp. it's crazy how small it is, but I actually use it for TWO 4x12 marshalls. It works fine. Is it a Matrix power amp, no. But it does what I need and is plenty loud enough. I only use it for the hair raising experience on my legs, I use in ears to hear myself clearly etc... But it does exactly what I need🤘🏼
@@MJsMusicWorks Thank you for your feedback, it is a smart solution and I been looking for a something where I have the opportunity to run a guitar cab as well.
@@danbaer4777 Ya, I think you will be pleasantly surprised
Amazing setup! Any issues with the wireless stuff?
no issues whatsoever. Just finished a string of shows that ended Sat nite. Was flawless🤘🏼
Thanks! How did you mount the units to the underside? Velcro? Zip ties? Other?
@@brunocoelhobass Screwed them into the Temple board. I believe the video explained it, but cant remember. No velcro no zip ties at all on anything
