    I drive mine almost every day and so do my friends with their GT350’s. As far as I’m concerned it’s one of the best cars ever made. Great video. Not too many cars can compare.

      Guys I’ve wanted one m, but fear of blown engines and oil burn has kept me away. Our my fears legit? Bad ass car. Thanks. I have lots of cars and can sell a few and buy and R. Cheers.

      @@RichardWarner-df7dz If you are looking to buy one there is one way to know for sure if it’s bad before you get it. If the owner says the engine burns oil every 500 to 1000 miles stay away. It will need a new engine soon.
      However if the GT350 doesn’t burn oil until after 3000 miles then you should be good to go. Do not buy one with less than 15,000 miles. Make sure the owner has done a few oil changes.
      The GT350 is one car that Ford will honor the drivetrain warranty. A friend of mine had a GT350 that burned oil every 500-1000 miles from the day he bought it. At 70,000 miles the engine finally let go after it got a knock which got louder and louder so he knew it was about to die. Ford replaced the engine for free because it was documented as an oil burner and his new engine burns no oil.
      I have another friend that has a Gen 1 GT350 that is supercharged and the engine burns no oil. The engine has close to 110,000 miles on it. Both my car and his do not burn oil.
      Before you buy ask if the car burns oil. That will be your safest bet. And make sure the car always has a drivetrain warranty.

    Great video! Your description of the visceral feel of driving your GT350R reminds me of how it feels for me to drive my '13 Boss 302 Laguna Seca. While the GT350R is a level (or two) beyond the Boss 302LS, the fun factor you're describing sounds very familiar. Someday, I'd love to have a GT350R in addition to the Boss.

    One of the best cars of all time that was forgotten about in the recent years. Considering a 350 as my next daily, life’s short and it is the best sounding v8 maybe ever? Regardless, Shelby beat Ferrari over 50 years ago for a reason, this is the result

    • @Driven-Productions
      @Driven-Productions  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      A non-R with PS4 tires would make a decent daily. Can’t recommend an R for a daily though, but for a weekend warrior hard to beat for the money and future collectability.

    just found this review. I appreciate your passion for your R. I got into the GT350 and 350Rs which convinced me to get my F-150 with the Coyote motor instead of the Ecoboosts. I also did a Raptor Steering wheel swap (yes i do paddle shift it everytime i drive it) because I came from a manual WRX. I would love to own either a 350 or 350R in the future and like I said, I really do appreciate and share your passion for them even if I don't own them yet because I too value a great driving experience.

  • @johnalterio372
    @johnalterio372 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

    I feel the standard gt350 (19-20) are the best deals on the market and the desirable of the years and models. If the R had more HP, then I could justify the increase, but don't think giving up the backseat and CF wheels make the premium.

    • @Driven-Productions
      @Driven-Productions  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Well the carbon wing, front splitter, Racaro buckets, and I think they tuned the chassis and suspension a bit but don’t quote me there.

    • @johnalterio372
      @johnalterio372 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@Driven-Productions yeah, if you track maybe.. but these "creampuffs" sit in garages most of the time and too afraid to accumulate milage. Too good of a car to sit, so the standard GT350 owners see the most miles and enjoyment IMO

    • @michaelschultz1104
      @michaelschultz1104 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      For those wheels alone it’s worth the 10k more. The 19 & 20’s are 60-65k and the R’s are 70-75k, there’s just less R’s so they will retain value much better.

    • @johnalterio372
      @johnalterio372 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That is a lot of coin against the improvement gains over the stock. I don't argue that R's will retain value (for collectors), but only if the miles are low. This all brings me to my original comment.. a non-R gt350 can be driven and enjoyed! I have 12k on mine and love it.

    Naw, people still talk about them. But when used prices went drastically above what their MSRP was, then people are going to stop caring and pass up on it. The market is coming down finally, but it never should have gone up in the first place. GT350R’s that were selling for $90k, are now selling for mid-$60k’s, and continue to drop week after week. This is finally becoming a good value car. $50k’s are where they should realistically be right now.

    CenterLock wheels ?? with black painted lug nuts ??
    You're the wierd one. All black wheels with black lug nuts is like looking at a black hole out in space. I for one am extremely happy with those shiny lug nuts and NO
    "CenterLock" wheels. Ford did the right thing.

    For some reason the new Mustangs after 1970 don't do anything for me. I mean power isn't everything.
    I like my car to look like I could sit on the grass and never take my eyes off them, like the 1967 fastback or 69 fastback.
    These newer Mustangs just don't have it. They don't even have the fastback look .

      Appreciate the thoughts. Funny it’s the reverse for me, but at 37 currently I may be a different generation. Grant you, a 67 GT500 or 350 is 👌

      @@Driven-Productions .... Right , it's a generation thing. My cus had a red (1967 think) fastback 2+2 with a white interior when I was a kid, that was so cool looking. At 16 I guy had a black 1969 428 CJ that was sweet . These cars were so cool, too bad the cost is over the moon.

    If you're going to revieif you're going to review the car. Review the 19 or 2020. It has the latest and greatest features and tech for that car.

      Thanks for watching and commenting. So on my channel we reviewed both the 2020 350R Heritage and 2019 350R. Check out Save the Manuals playlist.

      The 2020 is a lot more expensive due to upgrades, engineering, that are exclusive to that year and build numbers. I own one with only 5300 miles. Cup 2s don't work well with Florida rain.

    Best car despite the somewhat excessive aero which is not needed but hey its cool car keep it. The new gen mustang is extremely ugly especially interior all of the heritage is went out of windows 🤡

    I think what you were trying to say at 15:30 is. The concept is your car should be worn like a suit. Guys are trading in big body for little everyday for that reason. Its not a nashville metropolitan. Lol

    I said it from the beginning, those peoples who purchased these shelby's then sold them fast will be kicking themselves in the head in the future. they will sell for near millions if not simply millions. it wont be about speed as EV will be a far greater rush in terms of speed, but EV's dont have souls. they are not living machines as is a combustion engine vehicle. the vibration the sounds the connection between the driver and the machine. EV's for all their greatness loose a ton of that connection. Even many supercars dont have it. as their engineering dials out the personallity of the vehicle which actually comes by a lack of perfection.

    They are already pretty cheap.. low on power, heavy, I suppose get one now since they are cheap and pretty much irrelevant these days.

    You're going to tramline, feel every little bump, tear off the front splitter, change tires every 5,000 miles and pay $5k each for a destroyed wheel when you hit a pothole. No thanks

    Too many warranty issues with Ford, lack of attention by Ford, on that sweeeeet sounding and performing engine.

    80% of all GT350s were purchased as collectibles or investments. Pathetic. No wonder the owners are snobs always trying to protect their investments.

    Why do some have red roll cages and some don’t? Some have the red R on the side and some don’t. Strange….

      Cage is installed aftermarket, not a factory option. R badge on side is also aftermarket. Mine is 100% stock
