DON’T CUT YOUR GREENS ON FOIL LIKE I DID!! It was a mistake that realized in the middle of cutting. You run the risk of getting pieces of aluminum in your food. I should’ve used my large cutting board in this video. Thank you all for your concern. I made sure NO FOIL was in the food I served to my family. ❤️🙏🏽
As if none of us have made cooking mistakes. just because you have an audience is no reason to be so critical.
@@user-yk7mn3cu1r aww thank you kindly-yes people had a lot to say about my little mistake. I really appreciate your support! ❤️
My husband was on dialysis and couldn’t eat greens because of the vitamin K. He could have Arugula which I sautéed this way. He had a kidney transplant almost two weeks ago, I bought a package of mustard greens; my favorite. I’m “fixin’ a mess for dinner tonight! Gloraaaaay! 😊😊🎉
GLORAAAAAAY!!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽😁 Enjoy your meal!
First, ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ FOR HUBBY !!
As my mother would say " LOVE YOU IF YOU LET ME, LAUGH AT YOU AS I LEAVE "
WOW 4 weeks later and 26K views for my little ole video!! 🤯 🥹 If 26K of yall would subscribe to my channel, I’d be OVER THE MOON HAPPY!! Thank you everyone for watching this video. 🤗❤️
What kind of grease was that in the bottom of the skillet when you started?
@@PhenomenalMFT olive oil
This makes so much sense! All that water is not necessary because the greens are naturally full of water! I’m trying this on Sunday! Thanks!
AWESOME! Thanks so much for watching and commenting. 🙏🏽❤️ Let me know how your greens turn out.
Im a huge fan of cornbread and it always goes well here.
Yes it does! I will make a video about my cornbread recipe soon. 🙏🏽❤️

Very cool! I’m so glad you received inspiration to make greens this way. Thank you for commenting! ❤️🙏🏽

Yes indeed! We need to keep as many nutrients as possible. 🙌🏽 Thanks for commenting.
Thank you! Ive been look for a good recipe to cook colards this way. And, I also add sugar to my greens.

Looks Absolutely Delicious! Thank You For The Awesome Short Cut In Preparing Greens, With All The Techniques.
Grately Appreciate You,👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you ma'am. I'm single with no kids at home, just me, so I wanted to try this recipe to cook a quick small portion of greens. They came out great! I got the collard greens out of the frozen vegetable section in Publix and they took about 35 minutes to tenderize, I didn't use as many ingredients as you but still it was delicious. I love the idea of adding a little chicken broth. I never cooked greens this way but I will from now on. It saves a lot of time than the traditional way.
Memories, memories of my Grandmother use to cook her greens this way delicious thank you
So awesome! I love grandmothers. 🤗❤️
Interesting choice of flavorings oregano, cumin, liquid smoke,worcestershire...
I can't wait to try this. I am always learning!
This looks very appetizing!
Thank you for sharing.
Awesome! Yes I learned out using Worcestershire sauce a few years ago. It’s wonderful. I used the other herbs because I like the way they smell in my greens. 🥬 Thank you for watching!

I will try this, fried collard greens. Thanks. Looks delicious.❤❤❤
Hope you enjoy! ❤️
Yes looks absolutely delicious ❤❤
Thank you! Yes it turned out so great. My children ate the entire skillet. 😁🙌🏽
I use a little better than bouillon and pinch sugar and touch of mustard, and smother a head of cabbage on top the cabbage makes it own water maybe a hint of chicken broth cook down and it's on with some cornbread 🤔 😋
Sounds great!
Thank you for all you do!!!
You are so welcome! ❤️🙏🏽

My Dad from Alabama my mother from Mississippi that's how we cook are green
Yes excellent!! 👏🏽👏🏽 😊
Good recipe. I use sage. I'm from GA and my mother taught us not to drown our food in Water and Not to flood the potato salad with Kraft mayo. I use. Kraft miracle whip

I will try it. Thanks for the recommendation! 🙏🏽❤️
Please DON'T cut your greens on aluminum foil...smh 😢! As you can see the foil is now is in the greens!
Thank you for your comment & concern. I realized the foil wasn’t a good idea while I was cutting them and picked out the 3 small pieces before I added them to the pot. There was no foil in the greens on our plates-I made sure of it. ❤
Try a😅doing a😅 few minced cloves of garlic a😅ND I used no meat. Just sauted with olive oil and butter salt pepper then barely covered with water placed a lid on when the water cooked out I added the sauted onions and garlic and finished saluting
All the elderly women in my family said it couldn't be done
It was delicious I served with Ham Mac n cheese and all the fixings for Easter dinner.
@@user-if3rc1qp6k oooo that sounds amazing!! ❤️👏🏽👏🏽
@@user-if3rc1qp6kThis is how I cook my greens all the time.
I am definitely going to try this way! 😊
Yes try it! You will love how quick & easy it is. Of course the old school way is still amazing for Holiday times but if you want quick greens in the middle of the week this is a winner! Thanks for watching 😊😊
Translucent! ❤❤
Yes!! Oh my goodness did I say transparent? 😂 ❤️
I use Better than Bouillon
Yes that’s a great option!
I think many people don't eat pork for various reasons.
But what we sometimes forget is it's not pork in general " know as the other white meat ".
But the processing ," Cured, smoked, etc these are " preserved with lots of salt ".
So it's not pork in general.
The same applies for smoked turkey, it's the processing.
Smoked turkey is the same as smoked pork.
Understanding some people have religious reasons.
Please correct me if I'm inaccurate 😊
Yes I believe you’re right! 👏🏽👏🏽
Which cooking oil do u recommend?
Olive oil
Yes 🙌🏽 Girl Cook
☺️☺️☺️😊😊❤❤❤
Going too try
Only thing missing is macaroni, cornbread and yams.
Yummy! 😋
You know to much for your age 😂😅🤣.
I love it you know"old school" and other ways to enjoy the samething.
Hahah yes! I paid attention to my mom and dad when they were cooking at the house. 🤗❤️ Thank you!
No arugula, please. Add some mustards or turnips or more greens.
Roll the leaves and cut. Use a cutting board, not aluminum foil.
Thanks for the tips! The arugula was fantastic!! ❤️ We loved them. Never using foil again in my life! 😂
Chopping them on foil. Didn't you cut some foil in, too?
They look delicious 😋.
Thank you for your care & concern. Yes I realized that I shouldn’t have used foil after I started chopping. Should’ve grabbed my regular cutting board. 😫😁 I made double sure there were no pieces of foil in the greens when I put them in the skillet to cook. ❤️ Thanks for commenting!
@@ChloeDeBre kitchen shears work wonders too. But I'm most definitely going to use your recipe 👍🏼
@@JustMeB729 I will try kitchen shears next time-thanks for the suggestion! 🤗
Tried it. It was delicious! I will cook my greens this way from now on. Thank you 😊.
@@chrisb1240 YAAAAAAAASSSSSSS!! Im so glad! Thanks for coming back to tell me how they turned out for you. 🤗❤️
How 🤔 much oil do you use?
About 2-3 tablespoons…enough to cover the bottom of the pan. Thanks for asking!
I use the grease from the bacon. I rarely add extra oil.
Delicious but where is the Corn bread 😋
Hahahaha! I know right? I didn’t make it this time around. 😊❤️
Everything but the kitchen sink😂
Is the recipe written somewhere on here like comment section
Yes the recipe is in the description. ❤️
Do you wash yours one leaf 🌿 at a time my granny showed me when I was a little girl I'm now 81yr thanks 🙏🏽 be to God❤ Amen thank you amen 🎉.
Yes ma’am I wash them one leaf at a time! Then I rinse them all together in the sink water several times. ❤️❤️❤️

Yes my family used to cook with fatback, salt, pepper and sugar too. 😁 That was some good eating! Thank you for watching & commenting. ❤️
Why you cut on foil paper
I was in a rush and grabbed the first thing nearby. Never cut in foil. Always use a cutting board. Thanks for commenting. 🙏🏽❤️
You need to get yourself a chopping board
Thanks for commenting! ❤️ I have a cutting board. I put in the comments section that I mistakenly used foil because I was in a rush. 🙏🏽
No lady you have to pick them then wash them in salt
Okay 👍🏽
Invest in a large chopping board..
Yes ma’am I have a large one. I didn’t use it for this video and immediately regretted it. 😁❤️ Thank you for commenting!
Right that's what I use
Need some rice.
Mmmm sounds amazing!
why don't you open up a restaurant since you like to cook so much ?
lol why thank you! Maybe one day the Lord will make a way for that to happen. 🙏🏽
@@ChloeDeBre hopefully he will because you seem to be really good at what you do my sister is left handed also and she is really good at cooking and baking . left handed people are really quick minded and creative .
Arugala is peppery. You added pepper and red pepper.
I love pepper. 🤗❤️
Girl, you are extremely heavy on the seasonings! There is absolutely no way I could use all those seasoning in my greens.
Yes please cut back on seasoning if that’s your preference. 🙏🏽❤️
Oh no don't cut on foil please 😢
Ok 👍🏽
Georgia folk boil there Greens with to much water none of that
Yes everybody has their own preference. 🤗
The word you should be using for onions is translucent not transparent
You’re right!! Hahaha it’s so funny how talking fast makes other words jump out. 😂 Thanks for commenting. ❤️
Be careful not to cut the aluminum foil while chopping the greens on top of the foil 😮😬😱
Yes I should’ve used my regular cutting board. Thank you for your care & concern. 🙏🏽❤️
18:00 and I do. It doesn’t even make them hot just tasty.
Yes I agree! Adding hot sauce to greens is like giving an extra kiss on top of your forehead. ☺️ Thanks for commenting!
