    You are a Pioneer lady! The quality of your advice is hands down the best in a sea of followers who recycle the same information over and over ! I'll take quality over quantity any day! I guess you can call me a Merriam-head, or Merr-nerd ever since you did my color analysis and body type consultation which was a lifesaver! Thank you! 🙏

    I would be very interested in a series about choosing the right lipsticks for your skin tone. Like, which red, pink, neutral, berry, to choose for each type.

    Great advice. Now I understand why my black and ivory spotted thin blouse works and my plain heavy jersey black blouse doesn't. Light colours should suit me but have never felt right. I'll try again using your advice.

    I have bought a body type consultation and a color analasys consultation from you and it has been life changing! I am slowly starting to build my dream capsule wardrobe based on your recommendations ❤️ I've also been able to save money, since I know what will look good on me and hold onto the clothing item (I used to give them away after a whilr because they didn't look right on me) so thank you ❤️

    This is a topic I had thought about a lot. I am dramatic classic and soft autumn. So as an autumn dark colors are fine but with that soft element black is not recommended. I love wearing black for a cool and classic look.

    I’m mixed and was confused about which color looks best on me. I feel like I’m a warm and delicate because warm pinks like a soft salmon flatter my skin tone but black and pastel blue don’t look bad either.

    Thank you for this! It confirms why I can get away with dark colours: I'm somewhere between rounded - rounded mixed - mixed soft, so not sure but probably rounded mixed. I have lot's of contrast (dark hair, light brown skin) and love black! But I always have to have something light in my outfit, for instance: black pants, black top, and light (white or cream or some pastel) soft cardigan or jacket and light shoes. No heavy fabric and no large or bold patterns.

    About romantic with black jeans and edgy style... heathered grey is a good texture to add dynamics in a causal outfit. Also punk fishnet will give about the same effect than lace without the goth vibe, if she doesn't want to go that way. Shinny stuff is always good, so chains and studs will look stunning, although rounder ones would do better. She could add some color to the outfit, like blood red, to make it more dynamic. If she wants to go for patterns, a black, white and blood red tartan could do, or a blood red leopard, or a grey and blood red camo.

    I have never thought I looked right in black very often. This is eye opening. Soft elements such as lace can help. When I was young and skinny I was always mistaken for gamine but I'm thinking I'm actually romantic. Still figuring it out but it's fun. Black and grey look heavy and drab on me.

    I love your detailed understanding and ideas about style. Your videos are so infomrative! 💗💗 I wondered if you could talk about if your face does not match your body in kibbe. The kibbe system really frustrates me as I don't fit any descriptions. my body is more dramatic with maybe some curve/romantic. But my face has no dramatic lines at all, only soft and round shapes. But my body is definitely dramatic. What if your face does not match your body? 😊💗

    I have a request. As a soft dramatic I find styling a challenge one reason being I feel like this body type fits more with old Hollywood / va va voom (Sophie vegara) looks but I am a modern girl and I like to look understated and try to downplay my curves and larger breasts to decrease attention drawn to my overtly voluptuous body. It makes me uncomfortable to be stared at. But as you will know the key is not to go the other way and look frumpy and heavy when you wear unstructured, or very modern formless, mono styles. I would LOVE some tips and examples of dressing for a modern ‘ trendy’ look. I really go for a more rap culture but casual and understand vibe in terms of style. Like tracksuits, gold hoop earrings, etc. Many channels tend to use Sophia Loren and Sophia Vergara for their soft dramatic examples but one is a little old fashioned and the other is waaaaay too glam and sexy for my style. Although they are both incredibly beautiful stylish women this just doesn’t fit. I’ve really learnt a lot from your videos on SD particularly the how to break the rules one and the one with Pryanka the only thing is the looks were still very glam and I’m looking for more understated if that’s even possible for an SD.

    Hi, important topic, thank you! 💕 Can you make a video on sport styles for all types? I guess I'm a romantic gamin and I really have troubles to find hats and sometimes also t-shirts to make sport (hiking etc). I often look like a child in its father's working clothes in those puma/adidas/reebok hats and shirts. I just look apart from those closes and I look boring. What can I do about it?

    merriam, what do you recommend a cool muted dramatic with contrast to wear ? strong colors don't match my muted undertone and muted colors don't match my Yang structure 🤦🏼‍♀️

    • @Laura-vs6fs
      @Laura-vs6fs ปีที่แล้ว

      I am a bit late, but I think something like navy blue or burgundy. They are quite dark, but muted. If your skin is lighter it will create a contrast. I think it is a great compromise with your combination, but you need to analyze, if you have red or pink in your skin tone or not. If you don't, then navy, dark greys, dark greens and cool toned browns with no red or purple will look the best. If you do have pink or red in your skin tone, then burgundy, dark brown with a red or purple undertone, dark purples and darker pinks will be the best

    I am a bit confused :) I thought colors only was determined by your own colors and the color season they make you belong to? So that every bodytype/ID can wear the pastels, earthtones etc that fits thier personal coloring? Or do certain colors belong to certain bodytypes? So tall plus size women (me) cant wear black or should wear black - even though it doesnt suit my colors at all? Or I should stay away from pastels for the same reason? I am just confused and trying to learn 😅

    • @pouchika5672
      @pouchika5672 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I think it's more about the visual weight those colours have on the body type. Black could look beautiful on you but if you are a romantic it will have add a lot of visual weight; I'm not talking about body weight. So it will make you look more stiff if you don't combine the black with a lightweight fabric. Essentially colours have their own essences.

    • @katitadeb
      @katitadeb 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      When we talk about color seasons it's about the hue/temperature of the color, that means the color itself (including the saturation of that color)
      When we talk about colors in Body types we talk more about the value of the color, that's how light or dark colors are, and visual weight which is seen in the fabric or texture of the color (by texture if it's shiny, plain, translucent, stiff, flowy, etc)
      I personally think the first and most important step is to find your color season, and then compliment it with body types coloring which can limit or expand your options (I'm a soft warm gamine, I look good in more muted colors because of my coloring but there are some rich warm colors that still look good on me because of my BD but in the right amount of brightness, too bright colors are still off looking, as you see my coloring expanded a bit in terms of brightness because of my body type without changing the fact I have a soft warm skin coloring)
      If you're a tall plus sized women and you're a yang dominant body type (D, SD, N, FN) but don't look good in black pick a dark color from your own season in a heavy looking fabric, same with pastels, the visual weight and construction are important too

    • @mariannerichard1321
      @mariannerichard1321 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Colors will have different effects on your overall visual, some will fit a type better than the other. For exemple, blendeds will be easily overwhelm with too bright colors, whereas sharpeneds will look dull in pastels and roundeds will look sever in darks. It's a continuation of the recommandation for each type. Blendeds need balanced or they are overwhelmed, sharpeneds need bold visual and roundeds need soft and flowy vibe.
      Being plus size doesn't make any color forbidden, fortunately. ^__^ As for tall woman, sharpeneds will look great in black, as long as they make sure it fits their warmer or colder skin tone. Beleveds would probably look better in charcoals or dull dark brown, but it always depend of the overall balance of the outfit with all pieces of clothing and accessories. Also, the colors which fit the type less can be good accents in an overall outfit.

    Would love it if you would type anya taylor-joy. She's tall and thin but doesn't look like a dramatic. Is she a soft dramatic or a tall gamine? I am similar.

  • @aidagalvez7883
    @aidagalvez7883 ปีที่แล้ว

    It is confusing. I find that I look great in bright colors regardless of whether they are warm or cool. For example, blues, reds, and greens look good on me. Terracotta and dark brown as well. With gray and yellow, it gets trickier. The gray has to be cool, and with yellow, I have to wear my hair back. I am very pale, my veins are blue, i don't tan (never) so, that would indicate a cool undertone. My natural hair is light brown, and so are my eyes. I dye my hair strawberry blonde.
