I have been using Huel after losing 30 pounds in a month, later found out I needed liver surgery. I started Huel to help strengthen me I couldn’t eat. This helped me stabilize and brought my weight up enough for surgery. I found half water half milk fixes the clumps and the thickness. The taste I could never get used to but am thankful. I also want to state the cost was above my budget, and couldn’t continue but if you can afford, and having health issues this is it!!!!! Thank you for video
Thanks for sharing your experience. It's interesting you chose the black edition. That's a LOT of protein! I've never had that version, but I know their vanilla flavoring is a gross cake batter flavor. They changed it several years back and it isn't nearly as good. I've been doing 100% Huel for a couple of weeks now and am loving it! I'm doing the regular unflavored, unsweetened powder to avoid the sucralose and putting a little bit of stevia in it instead. I do two or three powder drinks and one or two instant meals a day, plus half a serving of the greens in the morning. That is 1,625 calories a day. I am losing weight, but that is my goal at the moment. I'm also eating within a 6 hour window for intermittent fasting which is probably contributing to the weight loss. I find I'm really looking forward to eating the powder a lot, but the instant meals help with the salt cravings since there isn't much in the powder. The Chick'n & Mushroom Pasta is by far my favorite and I actually enjoy eating that. The Thai Green Curry and Yellow Coconut Curry are okay too, but I need to add a little salt. I think I've tried all of the instant meals by now, but really only like those three.
The Underwhelming side of food intake is actually not a bad thing would you not agree? We've come to enjoy eating to the point where, it's a big focus to enjoy all food at all times, instead of making sure each and every meal we eat, aside from the odd once a month where we cheat. While it's processed, it's a much better alternative for it's cost, when compared to what most people on a budget could cook healthily, especially working crazy shift hours, such as 15 hour days regularly. I found it really good for me, and it reduced my want to Snack. There is an instant weight loss for those on high sodium diets, because you lose a lot of water weight.
When Huel first came out, I did a similar experiment for 14 days. I didn't notice any real problems at all. I had zero troubles reaching my calorie goals. If I was left to my own devices, I probably would have consumed too much of it, but since I knew exactly how many calories were in each shake, I always knew when to stop myself. The first "real" meal after that Huel binge, was amazing though :) If I did it again, I'd make sure I had multiple flavours, and I'd blend other things into them to vary it up a bit. I only had plain vanilla Huel, which was a bit too plain for 14 days straight.
Strange that you felt it took longer to consume. I'm also not sure why that matters, since you can just glug it down whilst at work (I guess with some exceptions for specific jobs). If anything, I need to be careful not to go over-calorie with Huel, since I find it so easy to consume.
To be honest I have a hard time getting down food at work in general. Not just the HUEL. Actually HUEL is a bit easier because I can just sort of chug it. I try really hard but I don’t always get a solid break between patients.
Thanks for the video, I went with just the Huel shakes for 10 full days. I ordered 3 flavors of the Black Edition shakes for taste variety. While I did miss the chewing aspect each day, I have to say I really did feel great on just the Huel shakes over the 10 days. I am a heavy weight lifter and I continued my workout regime and never felt like I was lacking in energy, but I did lose 12lbs in these 10 days vs my average meal consumption and same caloric burn.
Thank you for your reviews on this brand... I have problems gaining weight and looked into this product for that purpose. Would you review the. Body Complete Rx system next.
Weirdly, we can’t get the Greens powder here in England but they have started selling the meal replacements in shops and they seem to offer a better alternative to the junk food they share a shelf with, when a healthy meal is not available…. I do think it’s a bit irresponsible of the company to market it as a product that could replace food though. I think we should instinctively know this is a bad idea. Thanks for the video!
@@davidking258 I definitely think it has a place especially when you’re trying to use it instead of a less healthy alternative. But make no mistake it’s a highly processed product. Thanks for the comment. I appreciate it.
Thanks so much for sharing. Such a thorough experience. So far I still use the black edition every once in a while when I feel like I don’t have the time for a proper meal. The hot and savory I’ve never really enjoyed very much.

I think for sure it can have a place. Thanks for taking the time to make such a well thought out comment.

It was a good experiment. Thanks for sharing your experience with the group.

There is GreenTea extract in the powder, that has caffeine…
Yes it has green tea extract. It must be in a quantity so low as to not contribute to caffeine content. The coffee caramel does contain caffeine

Interesting self study.
Thanks for sharing your experience. Very educational and you're a pleasure to look at ;)
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you.
Maybe try the unflavored and unsweetened…
For sure that is a good option to add to a variety of ideas. Savory would be nice to get away from the sweet.

I’m so glad that you found it helpful! I don’t know if I’ll ever get the chance to review that, but if we do, you’ll see it right here.
