    I have these most weeks and IMO they taste great if you put the time and effort into making them and not just doing a half-arsed rush job. Leaving to cook/heat for about 10 mins and properly stirring and you get the proper result.

      As somebody who enjoys these, aren't they supposed to be convenient. Which part did he do wrong? It's basically adding water to flavoured powder and dried pasta, rice or couscous.

      @chriscross5689 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ScottishT the easy way and the way they say you should do them. Is to add into pot (provided in first order) and add boiled water and leave. Same as you would for a pot noodle. No different amd no more difficult.

      I have been enjoying these since I decided to try but one thing that has elevated the tastes, mix the flavors...one scoop of 2 different flavors. For example 1 of Cajun pasta with tomato and herb so delicious

    An absolute classic Simon episode, announces 'tastes likes socks', after the briefest stir, BOOOOOM crunchy pasta, absolute class that why we watch, who needs instructions.

    These videos get worse. Read the label and find out how to make them

      The big problem is he always does these food reviews around 11am after he's done his 4 or 5 beer reviews. He's too drunk to care at that point. 😩

    If you’re going to review something like this at least do it properly. You just poured a random amount of water onto a random amount of the mixture, didn’t really stir properly. No wonder it didn’t turn out well!

    • @Shadz01
      @Shadz01 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Exactly. Just lazy, uninformative and unfair to the company he's reviewing the product from.

      It’s Simon if you expect him to do anything correctly you’ve come to the wrong channel

      He measured out the water and used the scoop.

    • @andrewsteer8860
      @andrewsteer8860 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@William-Andersonhe eyeballed it into a jug and then didn’t stir it in properly. That’s why he was left with a powdery, raw pasta mess!

      Always does it - can’t be bothered reading instructions. Really frustrating

    These kind of things aren't for me but I'm not sure you gave them a fair crack here. Like a pot noodle or any pasta pot, you have to stir multiple times to make sure it's all cooked and mixed through.

    There’s so many of these companies out anymore, selling these half-ass meals. Much better to spend yer money buying organic fruits and vegetables and grass-fed meats..and cooking at home. Go out to eat for a treat now and then.

    These taste worse than MRE's.... Yes the nutritional values are great, but so is a bowl of dried Muesli, and i wouldn't eat that either.
    Even my Cat turned it's nose up from these.
    Their sweet bars are nice, choc chip, salted caramel.... But no matter what you do with the Mac N Cheese, it always remains crunchy and pulpy, the Spag Bol tastes like warm salty water.
    They are just awful considering how much they charge.

    • @andrewsteer8860

      Sounds like you’ve not mixed the bags up properly and aren’t leaving them to cook for long enough.
      I have these most days during the week, mixed well and left covered for 5mins in boiled water and I have no crunchy pasta
