John reminds me of the saying “Faith is the bird that feels the light, and sings when the dawn is dark.” It’s not scriptural, but does embody the feeling of The Word. To me, The Chosen works like that. I enjoy your reviews of these episodes, and how earnest you are. God bless.
I just found your TH-cam page this morning. You are doing an excellent job. I like how you compare the sow to the Bible for accuracy. Excellent. Keep up the good work.
So good to see your posts again! New job, engagement plans, and all the stuff we don’t know about, means, I suppose we can excuse the delay this time. Best, most accurate, and trusted Chosen deep dives on TH-cam IMHO. I especially enjoy how you back everything with Scripture and historical evidence. I learn so much from your videos. The way and fact that you teach the meaning of Greek works and Jewish customs, is so helpful. Thanks!
You’re doing something good 👍 keep going Some people don't distinguish between your categorical breakdown and they go into thinking that this show shouldn't include any other information other than only scripture....they forget that this is a SHOW. Its not the Bible. They add all of these to give us context, backstories, complexities and interesting fun things. The Word of God is innerant but this is a show. All they want is you to get interested and then GO BACK TO READ THE BIBLE FOR YOURSELF
Awesome job thank you David and congratulations on your engagement so happy for you. Also you are very informative I love your show. Keep up the great work.
Hi David I’m happy to tell you that I’ve now at last seen 3 episodes and was particularly moved by episode one John the Baptist is one of my favourite characters and I couldn’t wait for this episode however I want to ask you in your opinion why did John send his disciples to ask are you the one or should we look for another ? Ive pondered on this for years seen as John was Jesus cousin and had paved the way it seems I strange thing to ask !
I think that John believed Jesus was the Messiah, but he expected Jesus's ministry to look a bit different. I think John had expected the huge political reformation many people had expected, and he found it confusing why the Holy King would let his right-hand man (John) waste away in prison while corrupt officials governed the land. So he was asking Jesus for clarification, if that makes sense.
@@NowLetsBeHonest yes it does David thank you I once read that Jewish people thought that first there would be the meek and mild Messiah and then the mighty maybe this also confused John ! I have always been perplexed because John was so close to Him Great answer David I’m looking forward to these Chosen insights x
John seeing the Lamb 🐑 may not have been Biblical but it was heartwarming. Shalom Shalom ✝️

I really like these videos. I like how you define each of the categories too. I like when people are "precise" 😉

Like this approach a lot! Some other creators are all doing the same thing, “what you missed.” This is fresh.
You’re doing something good 👍 keep going

You left out one biblical fact. After John's death, his disciples buried him and reported it to Jesus. In the Chosen, Avner reports it to Jesus
I read the verse when I read the account of John's death, but that's true, I probably could've listed it as a separate point altogether
