    I’m so sorry to hear that Iyanla is leaving. It was free therapy, but I understand. Her ministry is so powerful it tears down years and walls of trauma. I wish I could afford her I would be her first customer. I went to a therapist and once the therapist found out I had just obtained my Master’s in Pastoral Counseling the session seemed to pivot to her issues. I don’t have a problem with that in later sessions but it would’ve been nice to have at least one session all about me...

      Oh my goodness. Gracefully, that was unethical of them and I’m sorry you had that experience. Ethics is high in our profession for a reason. As a therapist who see’s this work as spiritual and ministry, I sometimes (INTENTIONALLY) self-disclose about a life experience if I really believe it will help my patient....and that lasts no more than 30 seconds, lol. I hope you find someone who will make space to SERVE you. You’re worth being served, heard, & helped! 🙌🏽🎉

    Now I would pay for a subscription to see Iyanla and HER SHOW! Shay and Kamiyah both had me boiling, they stand out the most because they should have known better than to disrespect an elderly black woman, let alone Iyanla if you wouldn't allow someone else to disrespect your own mother and grandmothers!! Like we was getting these shows for free and now because of this millennial generations, we are losing our guides to life!! Her show has help me in many ways and has opened my mind to think differently! I'm learning to not cuss people out so fast or have to defend myself all of of the time but actively listen and respond with love and not an attitude. I'm doing it for myself to help my community help begin the healing. I'm only one person but it only takes 1 to start a new chapter!! We will miss you Ms. Iyanla!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

    It’s so empowering to hear from her at this stage of her journey. As a counselor and Health Equity Ambassador her work has truly inspired me to want to return to school for my degree and License to practice.
    Particularly, in light of the ancestral experience of American Descendants of Slaves. How we tell our narrative, how we utilize a language that has continued to evolve to coddle the construct of oppression and not just oppressors. How our spiritual evolution as blues people was stifled by the prevalence of hush harbors in Americans antebellum south among other constructs.
    For any normal person an energy continuum of that magnitude is overwhelming. To add insult to injury we observe this large growing chasm of apathy among black men and black women but also a budding dance of romance .
    In the midst of which Ms. Iyanla has given of her self remarkably interrupting the patterns with the help of the almighty.🙏. My prayer is that I can hear deeper with my heart overtime as she has.

    Often we take the help sent for granted as if they will always be there. This is a great loss, for one she helped so many of the viewers who didn't have the guts to go public with the same issues as those that were. The lesson to all is never to take a person's wisdom, presence, or gift to the world for granted, especially when they are sent to help. Everything and everyone has an expiring date. I think she has made the right decision. Hearting all these celebrities going on her show asking her to help them then they complained when she has rules and boundaries they need to follow. They were in the mess they were because they did not have boundaries or values they followed. She lasted a long time. 8 years is no small feat. She had impartiality on her side and people who complained on Social Media are saying "she is an egomaniac, she is a control freak...". As far as we knew they agreed to do the show and they signed the contract and agreements about the process. I learned so much watching this show. I admit I learned more from no names then celebrities like the Braxton, and all those who go there with ego and willing to waste people's time.

    Ecclesiastes 3: 1 -8
    To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
    A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
    A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
    A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
    A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together, a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
    A time to get, , and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
    A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
    A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
    What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth?
    I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.
    He hath made everything beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
    Iyanla, press your way to Higher Ground. There is still one thing you lack....that is the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance . Yes indeed you are blessed.....but as you already know there is so much more.....and...... there is much more land to possess.
    Wise men still seek Him.

    I think a lot of people misunderstood Ayanlas approach and didn’t see her selfless pure intentions of trying to help and “awaken” people and society in general! She was fierce, unapologetic, unfiltered and so very passionate which I think a lot of people took for granted! I think she is an amazing queen with priceless wisdom! Good on her for doing what’s best for her. Love you Ayanla thank you for everything you’ve done! 🤍

      This is true, but it's great that the Discovery acquisition has motivated Iyanla to consider if she will continue with the show or not. Wish these public figures would keep it 100 though!

      That's not what she said - did she? OWN gave her a platform; make with it what you can;. She more likely burned out from trying people who are resistant to help.

      I absolutely love Queen Iyanla and have also starting watching her on Starting Over. Watching her has taught me a lot about myself and others. One of the major things I learned from her is that generational pathology plays a part in our lives even when we are unaware. Knowing that encouraged me to start speaking my elders more, to get an better understanding of how far we have come and the work that still needs to be done.
