“If your song ain’t making you weep with joy or sorrow it ain’t the right song.” As a singer, specifically a “Worship Leader”, that hit home for me. Thanks Iyanla!
😂
Learned that and stopped singing over time. It’s competitive and about sounding the best. Message is missing.
That was a very weighted statement!
From Fisk Jubilee Singer to Worship Leader: I STAND IN AGREEMENT WITH YOU!!!!!!!
This world would be a far better place if most people got help for their pain
Absolutely
Amen and yes
I agree I just feel like most would if they could afford it :(
If they knew …. most don’t. Mind has a way of protecting itself. No one can tear down those barriers but the individual. What is difficult is that there is usually a payoff to keeping barriers up. The payoff is usually unconscious.
That's true, but we must make people comfortable enough to heal and get better.
This is so emotional and sad, especially that people can use faith to control and manipulate others 😭
The men have seemed to MISUSED the word to SHACKLE the women. They was not protected but they were dictated how to live their faith in Jesus. We wrestle not against flesh and blood……
It started with slavery unfortunately
That's what happened to me. And they still use religion as a manipulation tactic to this day. That's why I no longer subscribe to Christianity or talk to my family. And also why I left the south, but my husband who's an East Coast boul wants to move down. If I do, it will be far FAR away from my family and I'm still not going to anybody's chuch 😊
I was crying watching. It's sad that people continue to weaponize religion on people.
That is the purpose of religion. It also keeps you worshipping an evil being that has us trapped in this physical body and physical hell. Nothing good about it.
The sister lifting her voice in prayer and supplication asking for healing brought me to tears. We all need this prayer.
RIP Duranice 🌹🫶🏾
Yes we do all need intercession for inner healing 😢
When Iyanla told Neecie that she can go rest now I teared up because she’s resting in heaven now. But I’m glad in this moment as well she was able to be heard and get some peace. What a voice she had! Rest in peace. 🫶🏾
Here I just discovered her & was ready to deep dive into her music and you tell me she's gone 😢 I'm still going to find her music but.... wow what a powerful AMAZING unique voice.
You never know, that tragedy at an early age may have given her those depths to sing from... and one way or another it kept her in the church ❤
Iyanla has the spirit of foresight and discernment
Oh this tore me up
Yes I think she really needed that , cause after the show , she lost weight , she went viral , she seemed more happy , I feel like her last days here on earth were her best ever , such a sweet soul r.i.p durrince
There was so many one liners that Iyanla said that hit hard! She said “yall sing but don’t have a voice!” That speaks volumes about so many people, not even just singers, speakers, anyone really.
Amen to that. 😢
when duranice said someone finally went to hell i felt that😂😂
RIP Durinace. I know you’re at peace angel ❤️
Growing up in church nice/nasty is actually very church like. It’s not Christian but it’s the energy that a lot of Christians specifically the black women in churches carry.
This is so true. In religious segments this type of attitude is prevalent. To me this is playing games. I deal with issues head-on and people have been angry with me because I don't play the game. You know what? I don't care. Nothing gets resolved unless there is TRUTH.
Not attached to race - stop misrepresnting.
Grew up in a white church..its there as well
@@drf695 I’m speaking on my own experience, never said every black woman is that way. ✌🏾
@@CosmicJournee maybe re-read your original message? Yes it's more accurate you speak for yourself.
RIP Sweet Duranice…She was such a light that will never be dimmed
That Control / deprive/ manipulate piece in this family was deep, the men it seems did whatever they felt was “right” to those sisters. Wow just wow.
It's so crazy & eye opening when you realize how sometimes religion can cause more harm than good. Make people feel tied down to stay in traumatic situations and things the soul knows is not good for them smh. So sad!
"I am experiencing you," speaks to the statement many people say, "Dont judge, you don't know me." A person's life nuances are not needed to examine how we all show up and is seen.
Right. Experience is how our energy flows from one to the other, judgement and opinion can be uniformed based on impressions not true exchange. I trust someone’s words when they say “this is my experience of you”. This tells me that the person is actually engaging with me (not a silhouette). 😊
RIP Duranice & Shun. Shun is obviously missing. Not surprising. I love the Pace sisters ❤
She wasn't part of the Pace sisters. She was a solo artist
@MzShugr Google said she later joined and sung with the group obviously as she aged
Born September 7, 1961, to Murphy and Bettie Ann Pace in Atlanta, Georgia, and brought up in the Church of God in Christ, Tarrian LaShun Pace began singing in church as well as with her eight sisters in the Stellar- and Grammy-nominated vocal group the Anointed Pace Sisters
@@MzShugrshe WAS!! What r u talking about??
@@Morkiemom53LaShun was born September 6
All the sisters praying for the one in the “Secret Room” was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen.
Secrets kill ..... Yes, they do.
"Its not my opinion, it's my experience, there's a difference"...... confused look on her face 😂😂
SHE GOT SOME GROWING TO DO
BC WHEN I HEARD THAT THE SOUND I MADE WAS "HMMMMMM"
Leslie or June?
@@zuritribe4844what kind of phone update you have ?! Where you got these stickers/cartoon/emojis from ??
Was it confusion or shock that someone was present enough to tell her to her face. 😂
@@penelopeb1370 Leslie was in denial but it was June realization for me! lol her husband been saying it for 30 years and she didn’t know what it meant But Iyanla saying it and she hasn’t known them for 48 hours at that point, was when the 30 year message Finally hit home!
Duranice KNOWS she could bring a person to tears with her anointing 😢
Although these sisters went through so much pain you can see the love that they have for each other which is so special because not every sibling have love for one another is sad to say but true.
Iyanla has overflowing love and compassion ❤️
May God bless her for her service to others .
l dont agree with all of her analogies, but gosh l love her work..
These voices! So beautiful. So devastating that these beautiful, strong, powerful women were kept down and controlled by two "godly" men. I'm glad to see them rising in their power, and coming together to face the painful truths that will set them free.
Iyanla Vanzant God bless you!
She’s so special. Everyone should have her in their family.
EVERYTIME they sang, I cried. 😢
Because the music its filled with sadness, pain and struggle. It mostly stems from slavery. This is why I hate old negro spirituals. It doesn’t uplift it just brings pain and sad memories.. just begging God.
King didnt save or even validate his daughter after she was violated. Some King.
I’m just learning, but I’m curious as to where literally referring to a father as “king” is even in the Bible. Like I said, just learning, so I could be wrong. Sounds f’d up though.
It’s so sad the way family members keep violating and destroying the happiness of the young ones.
They’re singing gives me chills❤️❤️
Me too oh lord🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Brave, brave women.
You each have encouraged soo many others to break the scary silence of darkness to bring in healing light.
I stand with each of you.
Weight is my protection that keeps the world off of me.
It can also make you a bigger target (no pun intended). Your self esteem and confidence can be astronomical- but people will see your outside first before getting to know you, and will assume that you have low self esteem, don't love yourself, etc. and will treat you as such.
@@AmericanFYEChiefits hugely taught, and had to also be genetic/DNA.. that whole family is Huge! not one of them is regular weight..
Man healingnwith God is something i never thought I would get but when I finally got closer to God in my faith he was willing. 😢 Glory HALLELUJAH...IAM becasue HE IS
This was one of the best video I have watched on this show so far because I can relate to I know how they feel.
Iyanla is simply amazing...how she gets through to people is an art that should be studied... thank you Iyanla for all the healing you brought to people ❤️
I’ve been waiting on this episode after piecing the clips together on YT to watch them in order.
This was so beautiful I was crying with everybody. I really hope this started a journey of healing for them. I love their song at the end. Good job Iyanla!
Praying that they all find healing❤
Rest in heavenly peace, Duranice❤
This episode can heal so many people that have the same issues. Great episode!
The power of manipulation is from the pits of hell. Controlling and lies and twisting false ways of living that have nothing to do with God's word. Hopefully, they all were able to release to be free in their soul.
I love how she put neecie to rest
I enjoyed this episode. It was heavy on me emotionally but mentally I knew I have to move on with life and make the most of it.
My first time heard about the pace sisters♥️👑🙏🏽 they are definitely all beautiful Queen & they voices are very beautiful soulful may God continue bless them all
Wow Iyanla spent a lot of time dealing with dramas in the south, which doesn't surprise me at all.
These sisters are so amazing! I loooooove Iyanla so much. She's a power house! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙏🏽
Beautiful sisters. Their experiences have caused trauma. However, I truly wish their ministry will bless them to heal as their music has been a blessing to me all my life!!!
Absolutely profound and Needed in so many of our Lives~
June was a trip
Always wanted a sister, they’re lucky❤
I always wanted a brother, my mom and dad had 8 of us all girls. 😅
Rip Duranice and Lashun..they remind me a little of the Clark Sisters
We didn't get fed until my dad ate his fill. Sometimes, there was just enough left for us kids to get something to eat, sometimes, we went to bed hungry. At those times, my mother just didn't eat. She was more worried about us eating that she was about herself.
Wow that's crazy
Sickening and sad .
Sorry you had such a heartless, domineering despot as a father!
I’m so sorry you, your siblings, and mother had to experience this trauma. Unjust and unfair. I’m so sorry. Be well and blessed. ❤
I absolutely LOVE these ladies ❤❤❤❤❤🙏🏽
Felt so sad for eldest sister 😢😢😢
LaShun was my favorite, and then God opened me up to Duranice, but Leslie is my girl! She is almost the middle child and stronger than most people know! Her say in the bunch matters, as does her influence, and she really loves her family! All of the Pace sisters and family are dear to my heart! I was the first person on TH-cam about 19 years ago to upload LaShun and her family here. LaShun was my everything after God and a few family members! God used her and the All of the Pace Sisters to save my life.
P.S
I never knew how gifted and talented Duranice was until years later! What a true gift to the body of Christ.
All of the sisters are truly Anointed
I love you, Latrice, June, Melonda, Dejuaii, Lydia and Phylis 💜 24-7
i immediately recognized Latrice from the tyler perry play. i had no idea she was apart of a singing group & gospel family. makes sense though they are very talented but i deff understand the feeling of being held down by weight you dont want
And that's the late gospel singer legend Lashun Pace
That Mama Pace saw her on Steve Harvey . When I heard she passed😢
That wasn't Mother Pace, that was the oldest daughter Duranice
Thank you, Ms Iyanla for all your work Queen 👏❤
Wow I love the whole family is talented!!!
❤ The Pace Sisters
This made my heart smile
May God bless this family
Beautiful sisters inside and out ❤ even after all they have been through they remained kindhearted ❤ they are all special
SPEAK IYANLA!!!!!!!! "WHY AM I UNCOMFORTABLE"??!
I hate bringing up The Clark Sisters but this shows me why there was such a HUGE difference between their careers. The Pace Sisters chose their faith over fame
You could’ve kept that comment. Their faith clearly is what kept them bound thanks to the men in their family that constantly violated them.
This episode has truly blessed me! You learn so much about your own pain through the pain of others ❤

The best episode!!
I’ve been waiting for this one!!
I don’t normally watch her show but I’m glad I watched this one. I come from a large family too and was able to relate with this entire show! I was moved to tears watching this.
You got to keep running 🏃♀️
In many black families, AA, African, Caribbean, diaspora included, respect is not earned. Adults just expect it, even if they are bad people. The adults will always cover each others bad behaviour and in some situations enable it.
Nothing to do with race - happens in all cultures. Not great to mispeak on people.
@@drf695maybe they're speaking on their experience. Cant speak on something you don't really know 🤷🏾♀️
@@helpkelp3595 Yes I'm speaking from experience and from this particular episode of Iyanla. Did you not watch it? Two girls abused by their father and brother. And yes of course it goes on in other communities, but so what. I'm talking about black people.
@@drf695 I know it happens in other communities. So what? I am speaking about the black community because I am black.
@@Coco-uk9tv So just speak for yourself in order to misrepresnt my ppl. Further, I'm sure you don't represent ever single region of the world in your original comment so why stereotype them all?
Church people like to turn to the bible and pray about it . But dont want to put the work in to change what hurts them or what the cycle is within the family. God gives us resources we just choose to pray them away and be lazy.
This Was Good!!! I Think Leslie Knows Exactly Who Violated Her But Just Didn't Want to Say!! Duranice is One Of My Favorite Artist, R I P Duranice ❤❤
I think its dad
Iyanla fix my life
ME NEXT PLZ!!!!!
She is great, but what would people do if she did not extend her tremendous services?
Fix it ourselves and it can be done.
With God anything is possible be encouraged
This was such a special episode. 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
❤ I'm one of 2 of these sisters ❤
These ladies sing down!!
having to wait on the dad to touch the first meat to eat is wild.
Old world thinking
Tuh my grandma wouldn't let us get seconds until my grandad Said he had enough lol
I’ve never heard of such my daddy did most of the cooking(that was one of his many love languages) in our household and children were served first…A lot of our family members do the same thing going back generations.
Such beautiful voices..gives me chills… just beautiful 🙏🏽😊❤️
They remind me of the Clarke sisters ❤
I really wish the Clark sister would be open to something like this with Denise because they have deep rooted issues in the family they refuse to address
@@Edward_Strong1982they would never😂
Poor Leslie. 😢😢 Religion is crazy
we need more videos with Lyanla i don't care about the other videos if Lyanla aint in it lol
When people show up closed off and nice nasty then get mad when they are called out. We have to be willing to hear how we show up.
R-I-P 💞💞 EMBRACE TWO SISTERS WILL BE MIS'S 🌿🌿🌹
She was already having a stroke
Praying for her🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Which is crazy cause she was literally explaining the symptoms😮
This one touch me my heart, lord I pray you have mercy and cover each and every single one of them ❤
they’re so pretty to
Good job Iyanla.
Well done ❤❤❤❤
This is so soul touching 💔
I needed this! I struggle in some of the same ways! This was a blessing!
Their religion has shackled them
Lack of Understanding has
I guarantee they kept that uncle around. The ppl back in the day were horrible, covering that up. And that brother, i knew it. Thats why his life ended abruptly.
Also, the super religious men can be scary. Why is it mostly them to hurt their own family of women?
Christ is Love ❤️! I get some of this because of how the false lies and teaching that were taught to us impart fear in use.
Latrice played in Tyler Perry's What's done in the dark
Right! I knew she looked familiar. She was the nurse or something 😂
1st Time Listening & What A Moment.
R I P. Nicely Pace she was an awesome singer❤
I wonder if her mother and aunt were violated? Was the dad or uncle violated as children? The grandma knew and probably turned her head before. Secrets Kill .
Thanks for Sharing. This was something that I Never Thought About Before. It might explain why the other two sisters didn’t participate
This was so powerful!
Thank you. God bless you 🙏 ❤️
Let God judge people is a big one the church need to understand because they feel as they they have the authority
👍 great job iyanla
I just love me some iyanla
That was beautiful
A lot of this was about control. This is how we were in the church also
