Agree 150% with everything you said about Ray Stevenson and his performance as Baylen , one of the most fascinating and intriguing characters , such a shame Ray is no longer with us and able to see the praise his performance is getting
The mine field is from the books. Thrawn did that to Coruscant so they couldn't drop the planetary shields so then no one could leave. The one senator that's always against Hera is from Star Wars Resistance. Yeah, that's his character... lol Also, "And the Emperor died." "That's what people say." HA!
This should be common sense by now.. Baylon even confirms it. Like 3 episodes ago.. When he says you believe Ezra Bridger is the only family you have left. And then says it’s the only thing holding you back. Cause he looked deep down in her and could see It’s her emotions. Plain and simple.
What an episode. Still think the relationship between Ahsoka and Huyang is incredible. One of my favorite parts of the show Also big brain move by Thrawn... he was like yo, this is Anakin's padawan. Let her cook because there's no way we can know wtf she'll do because he was unpredictable I also feel like Baylan was sort of proud to see Ahsoka survived
@@NikkiStevenReacthonestly, if they don't finish his story this season, even though it is like the most interesting character to come out of star wars for a long time. But if they planned it out for baylon to be a long lasting enemy of our group. I honestly would rather them write baelon out of the show out of respect to ray Stevenson. Maybe like a mention on how he died or whatever. But I think that would be disrespectful to the great ray Stevenson if they were to recast and I don't think most fans would be okay with them doing a recast
Kevin Kiner used Vader's breath as a score element at 29:24 from the moment Thrawn says "Lord Vader". So happy they brought him on for the show having scored both Clone Wars and Rebels, he's a genius!
Personally I thought it was a great episode. Live action Ezra and Sabine really work great off each other. We got to see double light saber Ahsoka again (with notable calmer and more in control fighting) and we actually got to see Ahsoka laugh and smile! (Plus you know we got more lovely machinations of Thrawn)!

Sabine's reaction to Ezra was understandable in my mind when you consider what she had on her mind at the time, as far as she knew Ahsoka was dead and the consequences of her actions may have doomed the galaxy to another major conflict. But it's not like she really had a choice. With all that on her mind can you blame her for being a little muted.
Yes, I do blame her. Speak up woman. Tell him all the truth so you can make a plan to get off the planet. Get back to that ship and overthrow Thrawn. What the heck was wrong with her. Yeah he be upset for a moment, but get ready.

I'm sure somebody on here has mentioned this at some point, but fun fact: The Hater (aka Senator Xiono), is actually somewhat important in Star Wars lore as a little over 20 years from the events of this episode, his own son is recruited by Poe Dameron to join the Resistance as the main protagonist of the sequel trilogy animated show, Resistance! It's actually quite an nice Star Wars animated show and deserve a lot more attention!
I loved the dialogue. The writers and the actor NAILED it. Ezra lines were VERY Ezra..."Prisoners! You...could take us as prisoners." Eyebrows up and everything.
Besides the MandoVerse, One of the only parts of the overall franchise we need more information about is the timeline between Episode 1 Phantom Menace and Episode 2 Attack Of The Clones where Obi Wan is raising and training Anakin for 10 years
They are making a theatrical film to completely tie it all up. I don't know exactly when they will make it but I hope they keep going with Mando and Grogu with bounty hunting and teaching Grogu the ways of the Mandalore.
the senator in question is actually an already existant character in star wars. he is the father of the protagonist to the animated Resistance which takes place around the the time of the force awakens.
Claudia Black from Farscape and Stargate SG-1 is amazing as the main Night Mother, I barely recognized her in all the makeup. I love to watch the Noti fight; it is like a space domestic dispute. Pots, pans, rocks & home adornments. Baylon tells his apprentice you go I am going to buy some death sticks; I may be a while.
Sabine's excitement might have been tempered by the fact that at that point she thought Ahsoka was dead, and also she had put the main galaxy at risk. An unburdened Ahsoka gave Ezra a big hug and laugh. Guilt and sorrow can weigh heavy - I think that's why Ezra didn't push Sabine more for answers - he probably could feel those emotions, even if he didn't know what they were for. How many troops do you think Thrawn lost to Ezra before everyone showed up? The answer to that might be why he left him alone - he simply didn't have the numbers to chase around one guy who seemed content to just lay low and out of sight.
That Senator is Kaz's father from Star Wars: Resistance. He's not an Imperial, just a good representation of what this New Republic is like right now: enjoying the fruits of their "victory" without considering that the enemy isn't completely finished and blind to the threat of their return. He's like the Mayor in Jaws, willing to ignore the problem till it swims up and bites him in the ass.

My guess is that the witches digged to deep into the dark side and made something they lost control of and being able to use the force is no longer a gift but makes you vulnerable to whatever is eating force users
Your Luke theory is so intriguing and I want that...plus I would love to see the Dai Bendu be the entity that calls to Baylan. To see this Bendu in live action would be epic...and to have Thrawn come to that realization once again...OMG!
8:48 I think this Senator is the father of the kid in “Star Wars Resistance” which looking at the timeline is after Ahsoka. 9:55 R2 is with Luke. 29:02 I figured they were real live troopers when Thrawn said they didn’t have many troopers. 30:45 nice “force” joke.
My guess for the finale: remember when Thrawn said to the nightsisters that he required their help once again? Remember how that inquisitor killed by Ahsoka was just "dust"? i think the finale will have something to do with that, a new character appearing conjured by the nightsisters and that will fight Ahsoka? And what will Baylan do, can he maybe sacrifice himself to save Ahsoka in a fight with another character? What about that mysterious Enoch...?
I was a bit disappointed with how EZRA fought. It's like in all that time away he didn't tap into the force and improve his power and skill. And it was so nice to see Ahsoka instantly not hold Sabines choice against her and be happy to see Sabine. I also really like how the actor is portraying Ezra.
@@emmanuelunah, there were one or two fillers but this isn’t one. And at least Ahsoka and Ezra’s reunion was better than the terribly directed one between him and Sabine
@@emmanuelu Agree to that!! Can´t understand this "filler-BS"! It´s a 8 eps show (not 24 or even more eps stuff), how can there be any "filler" @all. AND: 1st.) @@NikkiStevenReact A lot of other Star Wars channels were just complaining how this episode was just another boring Disney filler episode and even said how Ezra was out of character.. idk though like I said I thought everything about this episode was needed to see and was just another really good episode
His blue skin tone with those red eyes is TERRYFING. This is easily the best Star Wars spin off yet, even the Mandalorian. Hope we get mutiple seasons oh Ahsokas story with more young Darth A+
I don't know if you catched the fact that Thrawn want to go back as quick as possible not to conquer the galaxy but to escape the thing that annihilated his Star Destroyers fleetas a show of his power and it was like nothing for it; That's the ring made out of all the wreckage and the Dark Sisters are picking out bodies out of it for the Nìght trooper Army!
@@NikkiStevenReact If you like The Force Awakens. Might be something nice to watch with your children since it's way more kid-friendly than the other animated series.
Remember, Grogu chose to be a Mandolorian Foundling and left Luke. And this is the time period Luke was training Lea as revealed in The Rise Of Skywalker. Ahsoka wasn’t part of defeating the Empire with Luke so it’s not a stretch to believe that she may train other Jedi her own way somewhere else. Plus Ben Solo hasn’t been born yet let alone being a student of Lukes’ so there is plenty of time to develop stories. Lastly, the mega fleet at the end of The Rise Of Skywalker could have had Ahsoka, her trained Jedi, Mando, Grogu, the Ghost crew,.. we don’t know. Plenty of room for Ahsokas’ story and path..
Loved the sequence of Ezra using the Force to hold back Shin's lightsaber attacks. Guess if we are counting power levels Sabine is a (struggling) Jedi Padawan, Ezra is already a Knight and Ahsoka is clearly a Master. 🙂 Also guess Baylan is the one who will stay behind to look for whatever the Zeffo (?) left behind on Peridea. And everything is going according to Thrawn's plan, to keep the heroes away from his barely holding together ship while they load whatever is inside those containers so they can leave.
There's something i've been wondering about Star Wars for a good while now and that is what happens to Ezra,Sabine,Hera,Zeb,Chopper,Ahsoka, the Mando, and Boba because none of them are in the sequel trilogy
In the books (which are no longer canon) there was a Bothan Senator who resisted all attempts by former rebellion officers to take action against the Imperial Remnant. He thought the stories of Imperial threats were all just a smokescreen to cover up political maneuvers to undermine his own authority. It was a Bothan thing apparently. I suspect this human Senator in Ahsoka is based on that Bothan dude. So he's not really an Imperial agent or dupe, he's just a politician with no military experience who is convinced that there's no longer any danger and that all he has to worry about is politics.
32:34 There might even be bigger villains in the background, like the Grysk (the people who are a threat to Trawn's people, the Chiss) and maybe Baylan is called by the Zepho and/or Abeloth (aka "The Mother", or a being simmilar to that in scariness and power). A villain on that power-level would be absolutely crazy for them to face and a huge long term threat to our protagonists as well.
Anakin's hologram and Ezra's Force fighting were the best moments in this episode for me :) I can't wait to see what happens with Baylan and Shin next episode.
Dang I thought that said force lightning. That would have ben sick. Airbending Ezra didn't do it for me and I think back to Mace Windu's Force-Fu in The Clone Wars as a better scene.
To debunk the undead Dathomirian Stormtrooper theory, Grand Admiral Thrawn wouldn't be so cautious about preserving "resources" (aka "expendable manpower") if those Stormtroopers were just resurrected by the witches. Because as we've seen in Clone Wars, as long as a Great Mother is here those undead hordes can probably just keep being resurrected indefinitely. Also, maybe it only works on Nightsisters because... reasons.
Baylen is going to turn back to the Jedi, The way that he spoke to Shin, was very similar to how Ben kenobi spoke to luke, just before he confronted Darth-Vader. So to me that makes sense. Plus the previous episode you could tell that he was feeling conflicted about how the cycle of "Jedi" and "Empire " keeps repeating itself. Can't believe it's the final episode next week!. [Great Reaction As Always] 😊🇬🇧
Thrawn deploys his stormtroopers with ISR support and pulls them back when it’s not going his way in the short term. He doesn’t’ waste fighters in the chaos of a debris field, he opts for targeted turbolaser bombard, ent to flush them out after using Nightsister magic to locate them. He noticed immediately that By]aylon wasn’t in position. Small things to be sure, but displays of a much smarter commander than other imps we’ve gotten, who were mostly cartoon characters
I agree with everything you said, man. The sheer weight that that actor brings to the roll in rebels and now in live actor forum you just can not see anyone else but him is Throne. And he's not like other Imperial, unlike them. Throne thinks 4 to 6 moves ahead. I'm glad you saw that Faloni brought that over from legends. That arrogant senator is the senator from Hozen Prime. One last thing, the song that y'all play at the end of your videos Intense you can tell me the name of it has a nice rhythm to it
The "Star Wars" movie of May 2026 is apparently being shaped as an immediate follow-up to this "Ahsoka" season. So I think the finale episode will only focus on setting up the elements of that movie. So we need to see Thrawn make it back to the primary galaxy and maybe tell us what the project is with the Dothmiri Mothers and the dead cargo; see what Balan's goal is and maybe get all our jedi, old and new, all together, with our Rebel crew also making it back to the primary galaxy (with the final scene bringing Zeb and the rest of Hera's "Rebels" crew together with them). My main question is whether Balan will die in a way foreshadowed this episode, or if they'll have to "Princess Leia" him for us in the movie.
I’ve been calling for them to be contacted almost every episode. Fully aware of that stuff. It will be a huge miss if we don’t see any of them under these circumstances.
@@NikkiStevenReact too much potential for Disney to not take advantage off, they are going to milk the crap out off it, I think we will eventually see them all, luke again, leia, solo, chewy, etc. even a young kylo ren (ben solo) probably
I guess you haven't heard, but Dave Filoni is wrapping this whole part of the universe up in a movie (this, Mando, etc, etc) and it's apparently titled Heir to the Empire -- that's the title of the old 90s book that Thrawn first appeared in. Pretty safe to say, he'll be the big bad....
This was a great episode a few things Steven Thrawn used Sabine to find Ezra because of lack of manpower and when Sabine and Ezra reunited they did hug now as for this episode I wouldn't be worried about Thrawn moving forward cause he's supposed to be the villain of Dave Filoni's movie as for Baylan I'm worried about what's calling to him cause if it's who I think it is no fan is ready to see her in live action all hail Abeloth
In the last episode of “Rebels” , Ezra sacrificed himself by luring the Pergil to snatch away Thrawn’s Star Destroyer. That was to save everyone in Lothal. Contrast that with Sabine’s move in sacrificing her home galaxy in order to get her wish granted to again see Ezra. And if Baylon is sensing some kind of “Bendu” like force creature on this Night Sister planet do we really care?
Also, you're not the first to ask if that is a green khyber crystal in his belt. Back in episode six, you can see the green glow as he walks on set. Which, again, is a tiny snippet of information. He's a Consular. He's a General. He kept his green crystal. His Padawan still has a braid. All little bread crumbs.
I think shin is going to have a big change of heart. I really do like all of the villains in this series. This episode was SO good. I was interested throughout the whole thing.

Ahsoka calling out to Sabine is a call back to Luke calling out to Leia in Empire Strikes Back...
Bailen is after the power that he felt on the planet that is why he came all this way!
Never thought i'd see mobile homes in Star Wars. I'm all for it!!!
Your Luke theory is so intriguing and I want that...plus I would love to see the Dai Bendu be the entity that calls to Baylan. To see this Bendu in live action would be epic...and to have Thrawn come to that realization once again...OMG!
Th casting for Ezra Bridger was perfect❤🔥🙌
8:48 I think this Senator is the father of the kid in “Star Wars Resistance” which looking at the timeline is after Ahsoka. 9:55 R2 is with Luke. 29:02 I figured they were real live troopers when Thrawn said they didn’t have many troopers. 30:45 nice “force” joke.
Chopper saw red in his…lenses?
That senator should tread carefully. He should know that Chopper has one of the highest kill counts in the galaxy.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought they heard Vader's breath at 29.29.
Another great reaction 🫶🏽 hope y’all having a good day or night!
Appreciate it!!
so many people hated this episode but idk this episode was perfect imo
Oh really? Didn’t feel much different from the previous episodes. Why didn’t people like it?
@@NikkiStevenReact Some people thought this was a filler. which i don't really understand
AND: 1st.) Even technically, every eps of Ahsoka resumed direct at the point where the prev. eps ended. 2nd.) With that, obviously, every eps did make progress storywise (sometimes slow-/sometimes fast-paced). Well, Ppl may not like the content, but to call it "filler" is beyond me ... 🤔
@@NikkiStevenReact A lot of other Star Wars channels were just complaining how this episode was just another boring Disney filler episode and even said how Ezra was out of character.. idk though like I said I thought everything about this episode was needed to see and was just another really good episode
Ezra went full Vader, killing Thrawn's troopers.
Xiono is just a dummy. He's not an imperial. His son is the main character of Star Wars Resistance.
That tracks.
Is Resistance worth a watch?
@@NikkiStevenReact Two words: not really.
You guys are the first thing I came to in youtube this morning!!! I love you guys!! Love your reactions!! Take care. Ps. C3PO for the win!!
thank you!! we appreciate that.
Loved the sequence of Ezra using the Force to hold back Shin's lightsaber attacks.
Guess if we are counting power levels Sabine is a (struggling) Jedi Padawan, Ezra is already a Knight and Ahsoka is clearly a Master. 🙂
Also guess Baylan is the one who will stay behind to look for whatever the Zeffo (?) left behind on Peridea.
And everything is going according to Thrawn's plan, to keep the heroes away from his barely holding together ship while they load whatever is inside those containers so they can leave.
I liked the distortion effects with lightsaber, when Ezra used force to stop its motion. Quite fresh and interesting look.
Maybe this was Ezra's self taught Force-Fu XD I mean obviously he had to learn to fight without a Saber. @@stevena.7022
I love Lar's voice. Reminds me of Jeremy (Scar) Irons.
29:47 😂 Definitely heard the Vader Breath first watch through too
Something that was said behind the scenes is that his chain mail is made from storm trooper tags. So thrawn didn't just leave him alone.
You forget, EVERY mayor character is alive in this time period.
Such a better book than Disney can possibly recreate.
There's a reason that trilogy was considered the sequel trilogy for so many decades....
@@stevena.7022
This was a great episode a few things Steven Thrawn used Sabine to find Ezra because of lack of manpower and when Sabine and Ezra reunited they did hug now as for this episode I wouldn't be worried about Thrawn moving forward cause he's supposed to be the villain of Dave Filoni's movie as for Baylan I'm worried about what's calling to him cause if it's who I think it is no fan is ready to see her in live action all hail Abeloth
That ozone is in the cartoon Resistance
"You shot my hair!"
The hater senator is the father of the main character of Star Wars: Resistance.
Thrawn knowing Anakin/Vader seamed extremely concerned that vader may have come with Ahsoka...great episode
Thrawn is a BIG picture guy, he can lose the small battle but win the big WAR
Yep. That’s one thing that makes him a problem
I think shin is going to have a big change of heart. I really do like all of the villains in this series.
This episode was SO good. I was interested throughout the whole thing.
I’m waiting for her to turn!
something is gonna happen to cause everyone to arrive back at the galaxy after the event of the sequels, finding Rey and joining her new Jedi Academy
Thrawn worked with and knew anakin and padme...as well as vader lol but palpatine first took interest in Thrawn when he mentioned anakin to him
I am meeting live action Ezra, Morgan Elizbeth and boba/jango fett at megacon in a few months I can't wait to talk to them about this show
