Nikki and Steven, the Dead Troppers (zombies) are from a book released with the same title, from the Legends universe, and it was really cool to see them in battle! Best wishes from Brazil
Ezra’s actor is so good. When he gets back home, and sees Hera again, he internally reverts back to a child. You can hear it in his voice. He did such a good job showing that.
Ezra said that Thrawn awakened the mothers. I think the cargo can be some sort of sleep capsule. Not necessarily dead night sisters. I think that would be a even greater motivation for the mothers leaving to Dathamir.
They had wrapped filming before Ray Stevenson had passed, its apparent they had planned on continuing his story as well as Shin's. Abeloth (the mother) is coming and calling out to Baylon I’m so convinced of it now after seeing the father, daughter and brother statues and Moria flying away and the light beacon that Baylon was looking at. Fantastic finale
@@damaruslove8688 just a tad. I'm surprised Filoni is going there since only fans who read the Heir to the Empire trilogy will get it, but I'm certain that's exactly what he's doing
@@Pinkielover very likely. The fathers statue is pointing to that mountain with the light on it… Baylon said something was calling to him… even in his dreams. This is exactly what she does. Watch the videos on it. You’ll start to believe it.
It could also be something else than this abeloth who is not in the canon lore yet. Guess we'll see. I thought he is either looking for world between worlds or to become the new father
Those were Mortis God's that Balon was standing on. Balon is probably looking for an access to the World Between Worlds. The style that Ezra used in Rebels. I think Balon wants to go change the past.
33:32 It actually does feel in character for Anakin to briefly catch Sabine's attention and disappear which caught Ahsoka's eye. ❤ Another "Hey Snips" moment for Anakin while he glimpses his former Padawan talking to her own Padawan.
Baylon and shin were the most promising and interesting characters in this show and they got one scene in the series finale, but baylon's scene with the mortis gods is wild
@@proudsaiyanprince2651 True. They're very much a rough sketch but what's there is really promising. I hope to see more of them... and they have the whole new galaxy to play with.
In The Clone Wars, we saw the Nightsisters, led by Ventress, use an Army of the Dead to try to Defend Dathomir against Grevious. Grevious eventually killed the Nightsisterresponsible for raising them, then largely exterminated the remaining Nightsisters.
I honestly was so happy with this finale. It absolutely left me wanting more…so much more…but in a good way. They’re setting up so much. I honestly feel that Baylan and Shin along with Ahsoka, Sabine and Huyang being stranded will provide us with Season 2 content, and perhaps they get back to the right galaxy in the end, just in time for Filoni’s movie, and we resume with Heir to the Empire. It could go so differently, idk. Ray left such a legacy with the new character of Baylan. I SO hope that they recast him, out of respect for what Ray did, and continuing Baylan’s story, whatever it may be, would be amazing because it’s obvious that Baylan’s story has just begun. Very invested in where he goes. I hope Shin can somehow be redeemed and turn to the light. It’s obvious that she has conflicting thoughts within her, since in Episode 7 she hesitated when Ahsoka offered her help. I’m so glad for Morgan Elsbeth and that she had her moment to shine! I was worried that Thrawn was going to (rightfully so) outshine many of the villains due to him being a pre-established character, but Morgan vs Ahsoka round 2 was epic! Great choreography and everything. I hope Ahsoka can construct a second saber again. I wonder if her staff from the Rebels epilogue will be brought to live action. As for the elephant in the room, I definitely didn’t want Sabine to be using force abilities from the beginning, because I think like all the Rebels characters, she’s fantastically developed. AND she had so much character development of being taught my Jedi, Kanan and Ezra, the Jedi ways, but didn’t use the force. However, I think my stance has changed. George Lucas did say the force is in all beings, and anyone can learn to use it depending on their training and dedication. Sabine worked for it. So it’s not a Rey situation by any means. It’s just…different and odd. But I don’t hate it. Sabine’s still a great character. If I could change it, yeah I’d probably just make her be “in-tune” with the force at most, meaning she could sense things, but not use strong abilities. But, I trust Dave Filoni, especially with characters he created. So thankful for this beautiful show . I just KNOW it’ll get a season 2 with all the love it got and then be continued with Dave’s movie. What a time to be a Star Wars fan!
I didn't realize until I saw the credits, but the lead Night Sister is Claudia Black. Aeryn Sun from FARSCAPE, Vala Mal Doran from STARGATE SG-1 and Chloe from the UNCHARTED games.
24:24 In star wars legends there is also a story where a whole star destroyer was full of zombie stormtroopers, btw (in which being a zombie was actually like an infection 24:33).
Sabine always had the ability to use the force, but she didn't believe in her self or trusted the force. As the witches said she reeks of Jedi. She grew up as a Mandalorian and was taught a specific way. Now under Ahsoka's wing and Jedi training, she learned the use of a light saber, but still struggled with the force, until now. It took her a long time, but she's finally accessing her force abilities. She is now only the second ever Mandalorian/Jedi. But it's great to see her believe in herself again. Remember Luke did the same thing in Empire strikes back but hanging upside down and his first ever use of the force, pulling in the light saber to free himself.
I was under the impression you guys saw the clone wars. The undead is not new. The witches of Dathamir set the undead upon Grievas and used black magic against Duku. Morgan has the Mother Tauzin's blade. She was the main witch and Mauls ,actual mother. Dathamir was Ventress' planet. This isn't all that new.
The statues depict three Force wielders - namely, The Son (representing the dark side of the Force), The Daughter (representing the light side of the Force), and the Father (a perfect balance of the two sides)
Thrawn: Morgan, you need to stay behind and fight the Jedi. Morgan: me? I did all the work and now you want me to stay behind and fight the Jedi. Three witches snickering: why do you think we gave YOU the sword? Haha. Peace! We outta here.
I loved seeing your raction to the Zombies - the possibility had been discussed a lot online, so I'm really glad it caught you off guard :D ETA: I saw someone suggest Graham McTavish as a possible replacement for Ray Stevenson and so far that's my favourite.
Oh I love that idea! He absolutely could pull it off and do Ray's performance justice, he has the same kinda look, temperament and purely going off of his role in House of the Dragon he knows how to play that stoic warrior type
It was meant for Baylan and Shin to not be in this much because they were setting up what ever comes next for them and that's why Ahsoka said what she said about them being where they are needed or belong. Now whether that's in a next season of Ahsoka or in the Filoni directed movies we'll have to wait and see. Super sad that Ray won't be around to complete Baylan's story. He did an amazing job bringing Baylan to life and setting up the character for what comes next. I just hope they can recast the character with someone who will do him justice.
You can tell that Thrawn genuinely does care that Morgan had to sacrifice herself for the cause. You can just see the sadness in his face and in his pause before he says his final words to her: *_“For the Empire.”_* Thrawn even turns away almost as if staring into her face any longer would cause him to show emotions he would rather keep below the surface. And when the Great Mothers later report Morgan’s death to Thrawn, you can see that it hurts him deeply to hear, even though deep down he knew it was coming. Thrawn deeply cares for and respects his loyal allies (such as his former right hand woman, turned commander of the 12th Fleet: Commodore Karyn Faro), and for all that Morgan Elsbeth has done for him, Morgan is likely at the top level of that list, right up there with Faro.
While somewhat true, Thrawn does have a lot of respect for those loyal to him, especially the competent ones (which was all too rare in the Empire). Yet still, in the Ascendency novel, Thrawn admits he doesn’t see other races as people like how he sees the Chiss, but more as assets. That was a much younger Thrawn though, so who knows if it’s still his view.
Ashoka is the light side daughter reborn with mori, the father was supposed to pass his power to the chosen one anikin balance, the son is the dark side, but he’s pointing at the mother who was imprisoned bcus she drank poison and went crazy. Her name is aberoth
A satisfying season that left us wanting more, the sign of a good show! I just hope they don't keep us waiting too long for some hints on what's coming next! I'm not getting any younger! 😳😁
It's so gutting and sad that Ray Stevenson wasn't around to enjoy this. It's so gutting that we won't see any more adventures of Baylen Skoll because he was such a fascinating character in Disney Star Wars era. I would follow that man and his beliefs to whatever end; RIP Ray Stevenson thank you for a brilliant performance!
I am pretty sure there was a lot more involved with Baylon's story but they cut it all out and just gave him that one final scene to sum it all up in the best way possible and give him a proper send off. Given Ray's sad and untimely death, I feel like this leaves it in a place where they could end his story and not have to leave a bunch unsaid. If anything, he may have left a message for Shin to follow in his footsteps in the next season (which I hope there is one before the movie). RIP Ray. You were a treasure to this series.
I love the way Nikki looks at you Steven, like somebody that knows you have a perpetual love for this material. Thank you for the awesome reaction! Do you think those crates are cryogenically frozen warriors???
The mortis daughter is ahsoka (or her owl) things might have broken when it happened - the general understanding is that the Skeleton Crew takes place a chunk in this galaxy - so that is their way home.
Diana Lee Inosanto, the actress who played Morgan Elsbeth, is a real martial artist. Her dad, Dan Inosanto is a master Instructor who trained Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris, among others.
Stevenson died while he was filming a movie in like Italy or something, so I'm pretty sure all *principal* photography for Ahsoka was completed. Perhaps they had some reshoots to do that were never able to be filmed, but I think we essentially got the story we were supposed to. I've heard there were more Baylan scenes that were cut. Probably just because it would have left more questions that could have been answered before the planned S02, at least without reshoots that his passing meant were no longer possible. I'm just happy we can go back and watch more "Rome" (HBO early 2000s) and "Black Sails" (Hulu early 2010s) for more of him, and I have NO IDEA how they can recast for Baylan in Ahsoka...
If your looking for reasons why Thrawn would let Ezra live it’s actually pretty simple. Thrawns biggest attribute is his intelligence. When he was exiled to this galaxy via the Purrgil he realized in a new galaxy his hyperdrive is worthless. Without charts and maps there’s no way for them to navigate, but Thrawn comes from a Galaxy where there hyperdrive navigation is done with children called Skywalkers. They are essentially force sensitive children who they use their force powers to navigate hyperspace safely. So naturally if you were stuck in a unknown galaxy with no known way to get back home or travel via Purrgil or hyperspace, it would be incredibly dumb to kill the only force sensitive being you know just on the outside chance you could or may need to use him to get home.
Not a lot of people talking about it, but Morgan Elsbeth's ritual to become an official Nightsister is the same baptism ceremony that Asajj Ventress went through with Mother Talzen in the Clone Wars show, word for word. Also about something New and Fresh.... raising the dead is what the Nightsisters have been known for in the Clone Wars show, the Jedi Fallen Order and Survivor video games, etc.
They will have to recast Baylan for season two. The Daughter's statue being broken must relate to her death and saving Ahsoka, her life force now resides in Ahsoka.
Worth remembering, given how important clues are hidden in the episode titles, that "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" was book 2 (many think it's the first) in a series of 7... So this may well be Filoni setting up a very long, epic story arc
The one thing from everyone that I watched who has reactioned to with this series about Ray's character Baylon Skoll is most tv and movie projects actually film more footage than is actually used once it's edited so more footage is still there. The other thing is that there was 8 episodes and not 6.
Yanno, Sabine, Ahsoka and Huyang being stranded on Peridia might serve as an in-canon explanation as to why we don't see them in the sequel trilogy. We know Ahsoka would never allow something like the First Order to rise if she could help it. Her failure to stop Thrawn escaping set all this in motion and Sabine's gamble to bring Ezra home has doomed the galaxy to another cycle of war.
Great reaction! Great season! Shame we will be waiting a LONG time for more either second season OR if this will tie into Filloni’s movie. Can’t wait for more.
Love the series and your reactions to the episodes, it was an adventure and gave lots of joy. Can't wait for what comes next! 😊❤ I will miss Ray as Baylan, but I'd like a recast because his story is so interesting. Would be fine too if Shin _somehow learns what he knew and follows that path_ in case that they don't want to recast. Having Morgan die is a bit of a bummer, but she did bring the Nightsisters and Thrawn back to the known galaxy, so she did what she was supposed to. Also Thrawn now has ~8000 bodies in his ship, but we don't know if they are old, fallen Nightsisters or only his dead Stormtroopers. Anyways, that seems like a quite large force. 👀 Love Ahsoka, Sabine and Hera, the droids are funny, but I don't really care about Ezra. xD Maybe he'll grow on me. 🤷♂
I would watch the absolute hell out of an animated Baylan Skoll prequel tv series!! He’s like one of those Knights Templar that turned mercenary after the persecution and fall of The Order. I thought perhaps Kevin McKidd could voice him? They were really good friends in real life.
The entire season was awesome and builds out the lore of star wars and building out the mortis arc and were the father is pointing towards is the mother which they exiled and they set up out the thrawn trilogy nicely aswell
The statue that Baylan was standing on was the Father (who represented balance) the Son was on the right (representing the dark side) and the Daughter was on the left (representing the light side). The Daughter statue could be broken due to the fact that the Daughter gave up her life to bring Ahsoka back from the dead in The Clone Wars so there’s theories that state that Ahsoka now represents the Daughter while Anakin was supposed to represent the Father. I believe it is the Mother that is calling to Baylan. Her name was Abeloth and she was a mortal human and she wanted to become immortal so she could spend eternity with her family so she drank from the Font of Power which was a nexus of Dark Side force energy (which people were forbidden to drink from) and she also bathed in the Pool of Knowledge which was a nexus of Light Side force energy (which people were also forbidden from going in) and so in doing both, Abeloth became immortal but it also turned her into a monster where she became insanely powerful where she wasn’t able to control herself or her power anymore, so the Father, Son and Daughter had to banish her (to the Maw in legends material) and keep her imprisoned and contained so that she wasn’t able to escape and cause chaos and destruction, and so every thousand years or so, when Abeloth would break free, the Father, Son and Daughter would have to imprison and contain her again but when they died, nobody was left to contain her and so, in canon, they could potentially use Peridea as the place where they contained her instead of the Maw (in legends) which would make sense given that Peridea is in a completely different galaxy and would make for a great place for them to have banished her to in canon. You’ll also notice that where the Father statue is pointing to, in the distance, you’ll see what appears to be a mountain with a pulsing light emitting from the top of it which is the same as what the Mortis god’s fortress had in the episode in The Clone Wars. I’m really hoping that they introduce Abeloth to canon Star Wars as that would be insanely cool, and it could also set up an interesting storyline where even Thrawn might have to align himself with the New Republic forces as well as Ahsoka, Sabine, Ezra and the others in order to stop her. She’d pretty much be like the Thanos of Star Wars.
Fun Fact: Mark Hamill was in the finale of Mando Season 2 but de-aged, and also had a body double for stunts requiring a 30 year old lols, also from the set photos that came out for Book of Boba Fett, he seemed to be de-aged in that as well. LOVE your reactions!
The Ezra I thought we were getting: Cool Jedi Monk that uses the force instead of a saber, almost like an airbender!!! The Ezra we got: "Sabine heeeelp!!! Omg Sabine careful don't shoot me!!!" o_o
All theories right now seems to point lol in the direction that its the MOTHER that Baylan is heading too. The fater was Balance, the son the Dark Side, and the Daughter the Light side. The Mother, Aboleth, is chaos.
RIP Ray Stevenson. Dagonet- King Arthur, Titus Pullo - Rome (if you haven’t already seen this show I would love to see you guys react to it), Volstagg - Thor, Blackbeard - Black Sails, Gar Saxon - Clone Wars/Rebels, Othere - Vikings and now Baylan Skoll - Ahsoka I feel like this man has had a part in many of my favourite films and TV shows over the years. On the episode I feel like they have set this up incredibly well to follow on to a second season and an expansion of many of the other stories whilst simultaneously gearing up beautifully into a film trilogy or two. There is loads left to play with and it would be cool if Thrawn said something like “my FIRST ORDER is to set up a contingency should our mission fail.” I’m gutted because I could see Filoni setting up a new big bad in Baylan Skoll as I think he will link up with some other big bad that has been cast out of the Star Wars universe leading into the trilogy after they finish the Thrawn story. All in all I’m just so happy that Filoni has breathed so much life into a franchise that I honestly feared was dead after the last trilogy.
I think if Ray had not passed away I suspect he would be the main point of season 2 for Ahsoka maybe focusing on this new galaxy. But man it sucks so much as he was AMAZING in this role.
21:30 nope.... we saw that already in Clone Wars AND also in Jedi Fallen Order when Cal met Merrin on Dathomir and Merrin resurrected her dead sisters and brothers 24:40 the undead Deathtrooper looks a bit like the cover from the horror Star Wars novel "Death Troopers"
A lot of the Nightsister magic and abilities to raise the dead are vastly explored in the Jedi Fallen Order and Survivor video games, and it would have been epic to see Merrin show up if she had survived this long, but still it was pretty cool to see in live action as well...
Where did he get the kyber crystal?? There's literally sabers in the dojo, and Huyang literally has a whole workshop on their ship. Not every kyber crystal requires some wild trip or it chosing its wielder. Im sure Huyang had some lying around.

You give great inputs and also share what was great or what could’ve been better and not be hateful or toxic about it, and love the authenticity!!! We don’t see that as often anymore!!!!!!
Abeloth (the mother) is coming and calling out to Baylon I’m so convinced of it now after seeing the father, daughter and brother statues and Moria flying away and the light beacon that Baylon was looking at. Fantastic finale
If the mother is coming the galaxy 🌌 is fudged
@@damaruslove8688 just a tad. I'm surprised Filoni is going there since only fans who read the Heir to the Empire trilogy will get it, but I'm certain that's exactly what he's doing
unlikely
@@Pinkielover very likely. The fathers statue is pointing to that mountain with the light on it… Baylon said something was calling to him… even in his dreams. This is exactly what she does. Watch the videos on it. You’ll start to believe it.
It could also be something else than this abeloth who is not in the canon lore yet. Guess we'll see. I thought he is either looking for world between worlds or to become the new father
The season Finale was EPIC🔥🔥🔥🔥. WE NEED MORE!!!!! lol
Not only you Steven, when Anakin showed up somebody was cutting onions here
"He always stood by me" And he still is
Baylon and shin were the most promising and interesting characters in this show and they got one scene in the series finale, but baylon's scene with the mortis gods is wild
It’s not the series finale just season 1.
@@emanymton713there's no confirmation of a season 2 yet. So atm it is a series final. But there's no way they leave it off here.
They are crumbs of character but they don’t have much to work with in this series
@@proudsaiyanprince2651 True. They're very much a rough sketch but what's there is really promising. I hope to see more of them... and they have the whole new galaxy to play with.
Started watching y'all earlier this year when doing better call and now watching y'all on ahsoka...best reaction show out there
In The Clone Wars, we saw the Nightsisters, led by Ventress, use an Army of the Dead to try to Defend Dathomir against Grevious. Grevious eventually killed the Nightsisterresponsible for raising them, then largely exterminated the remaining Nightsisters.
Haha I love how Nikki just sits there in awe and smiling while Steven just keeps on talking 🤣 I fucking love this
25:06 - Cut to Jack Black in Brutal Legend screaming DECAPITATIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON
Loved it. Opened up all the stories moving forward.
Loved watching this series with you guys, was an amazing season!!!
12:00 That is the blade the nightsister Mother Talzin conjured and used to fight Mace Windu in that one clone wars arc with Mace and Jar Jar.

morai
@@ellehcimbelle thank you!!! I was super pumped to see her ... since it was very brief in mando season 2
24:24 In star wars legends there is also a story where a whole star destroyer was full of zombie stormtroopers, btw (in which being a zombie was actually like an infection 24:33).
20:54 That happened in clone wars as well, in the Grievous, Ventress, Dathomir episode called "Massacre".
Seen a lot of clone wars, not close to all of it. And to the large number of those who only watch live action, it’s very new
Let’s travel to another entire galaxy to find someone.”Oh,there he is!” All the creative writing of a three year old with a box of crayons.
Thrawn: I am a tactical genius.
Also Thrawn: sh*t! I forgot to have all the interior doors locked in the temple to slow their progress.
I loved seeing your raction to the Zombies - the possibility had been discussed a lot online, so I'm really glad it caught you off guard :D
ETA: I saw someone suggest Graham McTavish as a possible replacement for Ray Stevenson and so far that's my favourite.
Oh I love that idea! He absolutely could pull it off and do Ray's performance justice, he has the same kinda look, temperament and purely going off of his role in House of the Dragon he knows how to play that stoic warrior type
I actually have seen some recommendations for Rory McCann aka The Hound from
GOT, and I would 100% be up for that.
Thrawn is upset one of his pawns is off the board.

“Her soul turned into a katana?” Kind of!
A satisfying season that left us wanting more, the sign of a good show! I just hope they don't keep us waiting too long for some hints on what's coming next! I'm not getting any younger! 😳😁
Night sisters in the Clone Wars raised the dead. It is known
Just Love you two! You are my absolute Favorite TH-cam Couple!!!! The review was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 keep up the great work!!! God Bless
Alright, we need to show Nikki every episode of TCW that has anything to do with Dathomir so she'd know what Thrawn just got his hands on.
Her father Dan was first Generation student of Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do .
I teared up Seeing Luke and R2 when they picked up Grogu, and teared up when I saw Anakin at the end.😭😂😂
I loved this show so much. This is one I'd go back and watch again. The future of Star Wars looks great.
Stevenson was quietly brilliant. Will be missed. Thrawn is simply in control of all situations.
Or just change the plot a bit
Ray did great. They need to recast him like Dumbledore. I hope they can find the right person.
Worth remembering, given how important clues are hidden in the episode titles, that "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" was book 2 (many think it's the first) in a series of 7... So this may well be Filoni setting up a very long, epic story arc
The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe was the first book in that series. The Magician's Nephew was written 4 years after it.
I will miss Ray as Baylan, but I'd like a recast because his story is so interesting.
Love Ahsoka, Sabine and Hera, the droids are funny, but I don't really care about Ezra. xD Maybe he'll grow on me.
It looked a lot better in Book of Boba Fett.
The Ezra I thought we were getting: Cool Jedi Monk that uses the force instead of a saber, almost like an airbender!!!
The Ezra we got: "Sabine heeeelp!!! Omg Sabine careful don't shoot me!!!"
o_o
I feel like this ending is definitely more of a opener for what is to come
All theories right now seems to point lol in the direction that its the MOTHER that Baylan is heading too.
Sabine has shown signs of the Force from the first episode.
Mother Talzin fought Mace Windu with that Blade, so cool to see it in live action.
24:32 - Zombie, mandalorian _and_ Jedi🥰
I think if Ray had not passed away I suspect he would be the main point of season 2 for Ahsoka maybe focusing on this new galaxy. But man it sucks so much as he was AMAZING in this role.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Baylan is still a big focus. Recasting is going to happen.

The Father was pointing to his monastery. They guarded TWBW's. THAT is what Baylon seeks. To change time. Just like Palpatine tried.
This so leading into the "Heir" book. Love it.
A lot of the Nightsister magic and abilities to raise the dead are vastly explored in the Jedi Fallen Order and Survivor video games, and it would have been epic to see Merrin show up if she had survived this long, but still it was pretty cool to see in live action as well...
The father represents balance, the son represents dark side , and daughter represents light side. The owl that follows Ahsoka represents the daughter.
What about the mother?
Where did he get the kyber crystal?? There's literally sabers in the dojo, and Huyang literally has a whole workshop on their ship. Not every kyber crystal requires some wild trip or it chosing its wielder. Im sure Huyang had some lying around.
Huyang holds kyber crystals inside his chest for safekeeping
Worth noting the head nightsister is played by Claudia Black from Farscape.
I didn’t even think about Thrawn finding out about Luke 🥲
Diana Lee Inosanto, Bruce Lee's Goddaughter, is Morgana and what gave us that absolutely amazing sword fight.
I believe there is a rumored Heir to the Empire movie that’s an Avengers-type movie where everyone from the shows comes together to fight Thrawn.
Exactly what it should be
