It was fun taking pictures and videos of the watch because of its green combination... I figure water got in through the crown years ago by someone and that is why it doesn't work... One can see evidence of that on the caseback cover...
My friend that’s not a Benrus. That’s what’s known in the watch collecting community as a Mumbai special. The sellers scavenge parts largely from HMT watches and then they put a fake dial on. I see a lot of these with Oris dials. They probably never attempted to restore it. It’s a well-known scam. I’m glad you got your money back.
