I'm a nurse and the hospital security and personnel are used to overnight parking, visitors sleeping in their cars etc. (Especially the ER) Security patrols are routine and video/emergency call lights in the parking lots. My hospital is next to a major interstate and we often have 18 wheelers stay overnight and security doesn't mind and watches out for them. It's not a bad option if you're in a pinch ☺️

Clearwater beach is one of the most over-rated popular with people from the north who dont really know Florida (sorry). Really small beach and surrounded by high rises. I recommend the other coast - wend your way down and explore! So many hidden gems.
I love your introvert energy. I am exactly like you. I don’t like to be around a bunch of people. I do all my shopping at like 6 am just to avoid a bunch of people in the store.
"Florida Native" advice here... Just keep in mind that Jan - March is the "high season" in central and south Florida, and March is the busiest month of all. It's next to impossible to not experience crowds. You'll enjoy your new residency much more other times of year. My fav weeks are Oct 15-Dec 31 and April 15-May15 with few tourists and pleasant temps. 🥰
That was so special that the little doggie wanted to come to you all the time because dogs can sense good people and that dog like you a lot and he just felt comfortable with you, and you made him feel a sense of love, he could sense it. that was special❤❤

I have a dog and sometimes feel bad that my dog likes to walk up to people and say hello, but my dog is so sweet and people always love it. But I sometimes still feel bad like my dog is invading their space. Good to know that some people really do mean it when they say, "No, its fine, your dog is cool". This story meant a lot to me!!
Our golden retriever was the same way!! It’s just that she was 80-90 pounds, which overwhelmed a lot of people, especially if they were not familiar with the retriever breed. Most are people-friendly, especially with children, so parents look at the size of the dog and freak out!! Labrador Retrievers are usually more hyper than Goldens, but both breeds are considered people-friendly.

I used to live in Clearwater/Largo. If you want a really nice beach that's never too populated, or it never used to be when I lived there, try Fort DeSoto in St Petersburg. Just follow Gulf Blvd south all the way along the shore, you'll pass tons of beaches. Also there are a lot of much less populated beaches north of Clearwater as well. Welcome to Florida.

Absolutely love hiking!!!!! Unfortunately bc I was so active my whole life I tore my Achilles heel and don't allow me to hike til eventually heals. I have many rare autoimmune diseases so now that I'm older it handicapped me and I fricken miss being active and hiking. Just love nature ❤❤
You should take the ferry over to Caladesi island for the day. Very quiet there and so big, there are plenty of places to find seclusion from others. The Ferry runs on a schedule so you don't have to be stuck there for the entire day. It's off the Dunedin Causeway in Dunedin (right up the street from Clearwater off Alternate US 19)
I love how you always make it a cooking in a van lessons. Girl idk how you don't get heartburn lol as I got older my esophagus don't allow spice in my life ❤

Welcome to Florida which has been my husband and my new home state for the past year where we retired to after being lifelong R.I. and had enough of cold snowy winters there. We purchased a new home in The Villages in central Florida which I believe is the largest 55+ community in the world with 140k and still growing population. We absolutely love it here, have the kindest and friendliest neighbors, and more activities we can count to participate in. But what we love the most about our new community is it is in a pretty rural area of Florida with much wildlife. That being said, the highlight of our past week was getting glimpses of a horned owl and her two babies that have taken up residence in one of the live oak trees not far from our home. These are the precious and beautiful things we often miss when we get caught up with the mundane things in life that gives us lasting joy from the memories we retain of them. Wish you many more puppy interactions and other joyful events as you continue on your journey.

Yes, dogs are the greatest! I've had some in my life & want another one day for sure. You go girl w/ getting out there to explore all you can & wanting to fish, ski, hike, camp, etc. 🌿

I don't always comment, but I had to say I feel you on the doggy love Nomi. I've only had 2 dogs, once in Childhood & the other as an Adult, and only got to keep them briefly due to life's circumstances....but everytime I get the energy to go walking (I have Lupus) someones Dog always come to say Hi. 💕 I was even in an Office once that rescued a stray cat, and the cat kept rubbing my leg, purring, and jumping in my lap. The people in the Office were Amazed and said that cat was Anti-social and didn't even do that with them, and they feed it everyday. Lol. The Coco story is so cute. You probably made that pup and his mom so happy also. Dogs can sense "good people". Someone else may have mentioned this, but if you open a window (even just a little) when you turn your fan on, you will feel even a better cross breeze. That dish looks really good. I bought a cabbage pack like that; it was wonderful in my stir-fry. Take care, safe travels.
Hi Nomintro, please remember to wear sunblock on your skin and white or very light-colored clothing to refract the sunlight while at the Florida beaches because the sun is so very strong and you can get sun poisoning or dehydrated! When I was in Phoenix AZ I almost passed out from dehydration in August - it got up to 111 degrees. Also there are some water issues happening, so its a good idea to get a Berkey Water Filter or at least a Britta Bottle, so you can always double-filter your water as things get weirder with the water issues. Stay healthy and safe and enjoy your new amazing adventure in beautiful Florida! Can't wait to see your new clips! God bless you!

The majority of people here migrated from another state or another country. Unfortunately, you may have to be a bit more aggressive or defensive when driving on Florida roads. Our historic Crandon Park Beach may be a less busy alternative for you. It spans hundreds of acres, and you can almost have the entire beach to yourself on weekdays. Important note: The spring break season in Florida lasts from early February through April. Welcome back home to Florida ❤ PS. Don't forget your sunscreen ☀️

Welcome to Florida which has been my husband and my new home state for the past year where we retired to after being lifelong R.I. and had enough of cold snowy winters there. We purchased a new home in The Villages in central Florida which I believe is the largest 55+ community in the world with 140k and still growing population. We absolutely love it here, have the kindest and friendliest neighbors, and more activities we can count to participate in. But what we love the most about our new community is it is in a pretty rural area of Florida with much wildlife. That being said, the highlight of our past week was getting glimpses of a horned owl and her two babies that have taken up residence in one of the live oak trees not far from our home. These are the precious and beautiful things we often miss when we get caught up with the mundane things in life that gives us lasting joy from the memories we retain of them. Wish you many more puppy interactions and other joyful events as you continue on your journey.

Yes, dogs are the greatest! I've had some in my life & want another one day for sure. You go girl w/ getting out there to explore all you can & wanting to fish, ski, hike, camp, etc. 🌿

I totally agree with you many times I’ve mentioned to Naomi. Her best friend would be if she went to rescue a dog at the shelter in Florida unfortunately it’s very easy to get a dog out of the shelter this would be her absolute best friend for life I don’t know why she doesn’t do it
Pets are a huge commitment. I admire other people's dogs / cats . No mess and no expense.
I want nothing more than to travel!! However, I’m my mothers caregiver- so I’m delayed on starting. For now, I live vicariously through you 😂♥️
I don't always comment, but I had to say I feel you on the doggy love Nomi. I've only had 2 dogs, once in Childhood & the other as an Adult, and only got to keep them briefly due to life's circumstances....but everytime I get the energy to go walking (I have Lupus) someones Dog always come to say Hi. 💕 I was even in an Office once that rescued a stray cat, and the cat kept rubbing my leg, purring, and jumping in my lap. The people in the Office were Amazed and said that cat was Anti-social and didn't even do that with them, and they feed it everyday. Lol. I guess an Introvert cat recognizes an Introvert Human. 😉 God bless & keep you in your travels & life! 🙏🏽✨✝️

I am a wicked introvert who rescues dogs. Dogs have a innate ability to know who they want to be near. Coco obviously found a sweet spirit! You rock! P.S. Love the tats!!!

I'm so excited for you. I was in Tampa 2yrs. My anxiety was super high, I didn't get to go over to Clearwater because of this. I get to go there thru you and your videos. I pray I can find happiness and my purpose in this life. As a person who is a depressed introvert the last 6yrs of my life. Who don't want or have a desire to be around people. Thank you

Hi Nomintro, please remember to wear sunblock on your skin and white or very light-colored clothing to refract the sunlight while at the Florida beaches because the sun is so very strong and you can get sun poisoning or dehydrated! When I was in Phoenix AZ I almost passed out from dehydration in August - it got up to 111 degrees. Also there are some water issues happening, so its a good idea to get a Berkey Water Filter or at least a Britta Bottle, so you can always double-filter your water as things get weirder with the water issues. Stay healthy and safe and enjoy your new amazing adventure in beautiful Florida! Can't wait to see your new clips! God bless you!

Nomi, Welcome to Florida. The smile on your face when you arrived at Clearwater beach was priceless 💕. Yes, the birds will help themselves to your food😊. The majority of people here migrated from another state or another country. Unfortunately, you may have to be a bit more aggressive or defensive when driving on Florida roads. Our historic Crandon Park Beach may be a less busy alternative for you. It spans hundreds of acres, and you can almost have the entire beach to yourself on weekdays. Important note: The spring break season in Florida lasts from early February through April. Welcome back home to Florida ❤ PS. Don't forget your sunscreen ☀️
