Agree totally about chrome wires on an MGB or MGA. Is this Flame Red, the correct colour for this mode, as on the vid it looks too bright for Tartan Red? Soft top would be nicer black, but just keep it down!
I believe the rear shoe adjusters are a square head you wind up to take the slack through the backplate.Brilliant idea but they can sieze up solid if not touched for along time.Auto adjusters on drums I will hate as long as I live by comparrison.King pins also sieze up and need oxy to free up.No big deal.
But he is right, they never came with Chrome wires only silver painted but that's pure originality but these days stainless WW. less hassle with less maintenance

The hood ( top) is hideous.. should be black. Chrome wire wheels ? on a black car or a very dark BRG maybe. Poianted works anywhere, any time. To properly close the bonnet on an MGB place the palms of your hands on the extreme outside and front and press down smartly with both hands at the same time-NEVER push down anywhere else.
Sorry Derek, but it should have black interior and hood. The engine should be green or black. Stiff kingpins means they haven't been greased regularly in the past. What else hasn't been done???

Great, MG car. I'd be very surprised if the paintwork repairs cost £20. That's more like £250 plus vat. But that's my opinion.
I agree a set of painted wires would look fab on this B. Chrome wires don't suit them at all.

£20 for a flat down and blow in.???? He's living in the 60s. Just had a scratch done on mine. £350.
I think the point was, while the other paint was being done, and paint mixed up, it wasn't going to cost a lot extra.

Love listening to Derek. Unfortunately, my 71 MGB has chrome wires so we might have to disagree on that.
