Just want to make a comment how wonderful all you guys at Mathewsons love your TH-cam videos compulsive video watching you’re all so knowledgeable and fun to watch you tell it exactly as it is down to earth now on is John with you lot Thank you Rob D
Brilliant, thoroughly enjoyed that, could I please ask that vehicle videos include the reserve price…saving the office loads of time answering questions 😂
The lots that really stood out for me were the Swift, not sure I've seen a cuter car, the old Bentley because it's a Bentley and it looked amazing! and the millennium dome JCB, not sure who'd want that, probably someone who collects police vehicles? Love this insight into the sale, thanks 👍.
Does anyone else fantasise about being a billionaire and buying a mass of cars from ALL the auctions, and then having a massive collection in a super warehouse... driving each of them when I fancy, and employing 20 or so mechanics to keep them all going.....? Sorry, got carried away there. Must go and have a lie down. Back to my milk round on my bike. One day, maybe.......
Totally enjoyed this video dave & great information about how it all works & how interesting it is that you are willing for ideas for any improvement to your business!!👍🏻 And do you have an online show to buy items like that jacket you had on in this video!!🤔👍🏻
Cheers Dave appreciate that 👍 always willing to hear suggestions, constantly learning! We do mate you can shop online here mathewsons-classic-cars.myshopify.com/collections/all
The prices may have been affected by the interest in EVs. If you think about it, a lot of people who buy classics usually have some money and some have money to burn. Last year the theme was electric.
MGB - every part delivered to your door - not exactly. all except the two heater controllers and in dash indicator lenses. The only MGB parts that you need a scrapper for.
I imagine they'll probably introduce a cut-off at some point, like they did with black and white number plates, which can't be displayed on vehicles constructed after 1 January 1980. It wouldn't surprise me if a cut-off of 1 January 1990 is introduced for the Historic Vehicle class.
@@dominicedwards9117 I'd be surprised if they scrapped the 40-year rule on vehicle excise duty, but who knows with a Socialist government. Personally, I think all cars should have an MOT - classics could maybe be moved to every two years rather than annually.
Labour wont give two hoots, the zero tax low emmisions tax ice cars and leccy cars are getting placed on the ved ladder,do you think they will treat old cars any differently given time....
i just MOT checked the Mini sportpack thinking I want THAT mini - it shows no MOT since 2008 but has had 30K miles added since then, does that mean 30K on track or a brave owner using it on road?
Sadly, it really means nothing, on the one hand someone who can't connect between what's seen and what's recorded or anything between the two. Not to mention the vehicle that is tested (and passes) without ever venturing inside, or near, a test centre.
Nicely done Dave. Still the best programme on the telly, never miss it. Love the you tube vids too. Keep up the good work.
Very enjoyable watch.
Dave is a brilliant presenter and should be on mainstream t.v.

This gentleman is, as so many of us are, turning into his dad. He sounds exactly the same, the expressions, intonation and delivery, just younger.
Enjoyed this Dave , great insight to how things work 👍
Thanks Gary glad you enjoyed it 👍

You're welcome glad you enjoyed it 😃
Your thoughts on Mini sales being all or nothing - it wouldn't surprise me if it coincides with the 'Italian job' shown on TV
could be on to something there
Loved the on line auction

Really enjoyable watch, as always Dave 👍

In my experience laypeople tend to under-estimate, rather than over-estimate the value of classic cars.
Cliff hanger 😂
What's the two mystery cars
Tune in next week folks
😂 have to wait and see won't you 👀

Thanks 👍
I love the left hand drive Volkswagen beetle how much please
Sorry Nigel it sold in our timed auction today for £6,500
My son love the Ford's
us too 🙌
do you think that the popularity of the show is pushing the auction prices up to or near retail prices?
no not at all, the prices of classics fluctuate regularly and we're just seeing a little rise at the moment 🚗
The question is will labour change the 40 year old rules and also cars that are a,ready tax excempt, what happens to them?

why are there always leather jackets hung on the walls, are they auctioned?
Can you pay and take cars on the day of the Auction?
our auction site is closed to the public on auction days, we ask that collection is within 14 days of the auction
The smart meter is a very bad move,
