Damn kungen and his entire chat is such a bitter, sad people, I feel bad for them
10/10. Cca 90% of his chat consists of whiny people. Underwhelming. Even worse than Asmon's and that means something. 😅 And I write this as someone who stopped playing since some time into SL (probably going back ín a few months).

I was coming in here to say the same thing. this dude just talked crap about everything and wouldn't shut up for 5 minutes to listen to what was being talked about. best example of a Classic Andy I have seen.

My thoughts exactly lol. Cata had amazing raids, and its funny that everytime someone says cata was awful and u ask them why, its always that exact same "I quit coz the raids were too hard" lol. Cataclysm raids difficulty is the entry of what todays mythic raiding is kind of.

i used to spend days on your streams and stuff, but this starts to be a toxic community. I know you all love classic for your reasons and we all accept that, but to deny anything else is just toxic. You keep asking to remove addons, then start yourself without any addons, but hey, now classic have new features like on retail about party frame, raid frame etc. so will still have a better experience like it was when classic was first release. Outside of hardcore and classic leveling journey, there is nothing on classic, raid are trivial, classes have mostly 1-2 buttons and everytime i come back to retail after few days of classic, i feel so good with all of the improvements of classes and quality of life changes. Maybe warrior is easier, but rest classes are way better on retail. period. ( to not talk about the addition of new classes that made the game even more enjoyable )
Kungen is just said that he cant kill more unsuspecting players in his dungeon groups.

I like the idea of the stage up to level 25 being sort of like the beta for classic+ (or what the average player envisions when we speak of classic+). I think it's a smart way to do it like this, and that it's up to us to give very clear feedback on what works, what doesn't, what to improve, what to maintain, and what our expectations are. There is a lot of heterogeneity in the community. Just today I saw you, kungen, complaining about world buffs and, for better or for worse, esfand and guzu with the exact opposite opinion. We all have a vested interest on the success of classic/classic+, and it will be productive for both players and developers to maintain good faith and not shit on the very first attempt to make our dream work, simply because it's not like we envisioned to the letter. I think everyone should by no means accept everything blindly, but use the available avenues to communicate concisely our tastes and concerns and, very important, understand that with such an heterogeneous player base, there will never be a solution that pleases everyone uniformly. The name of the game is to achieve the optimal point, not the perfect point.
I personally prefer softcore over hardcore, because PVP is life, cant do PVP in Hardcore and it gets boring really fast. A lot of us played hardcore because there was nothing else to do lol.

Those expecting classic+ to be just a dump of new 60 contect to current classic servers are out of touch and dreaming. Of course they do it as a season to try it. And eventually we will get new 60 content in SoD. The raid preview didnt look great and with only 3 weeks untill launch there is not much time but Im gonna try it atleast and not act all negative and sour beforehand.
Great to get some new content and things for lvling 1-60 when u do it for the 50th time or so. Just hope runes takes some time to aquire and that the world pvp turns out good.

I am hyped to hear Metzen's passion and expect retail WoW to be on the rise. There's a lot retail has actually improved on that I prefer over Classic. Still, I don't really expect the game to change in the fundamental way required for me to be truly hyped (like removing LFR).
Hey, maybe Dreamhaven will drop something on us out of nowhere. And it's nice to see Ghostcrawler's MMO starting up. If anything, all this Blizzard/WoW mess over the years has inspired to get into game development myself and take part in creating my own dream MMO when I can.

so, i should be hyped to play lvl 25 worst vanilla dungeon turned into raid, with clearly op retail talents incorporated into classic, all of which made by 25 year old blizz employees who clearly havent even played vanilla in its time and who did not create anything good in a decade

Not really sure how this will have any player retention, seems like it will get old real quick, especially if we are just curb stomping content. Also dont understand anyone saying that SoD is Classic+, its not, its a worse ascension.

Retail-People are always hyped until they‘re quitting after 4 weeks of unrelevant story-content and minus 90 bugs, which was payed for level-boost and a spectral-pig-mount to celebrate some bullshit - oh hold on, it‘s three times 90 bugs now. And I forgot about the monthly subscription.
To be clear Kungen is absolutely right: Classic-Players generally don’t want addons, boosts, flying dragons or a new stupid tanking priest. All these factors makes a game too easy and thats not challenging. They just want relevant content, which means EVERYBODY has to fckn invest time to actually PLAY (not pay) to get lvl 60, to WALK (not teleport) to the dungeon, to CONNECT (not a raidfinder) to another players to get a raid, to WIPE several times on a hardcore boss until you get a not-payed-reward (like mounts, gear, achievements) for your efforts as a well-playing-guild. Because that is the actual purpose of a mmorpg. And this just can be added by new dungeons and raids to wow classic, bc classic and maybe wotlk classic.
Relevant means also that a pro-gamer earns more than a casual-gamer. And this efforts can‘t be achieved by an casual-gamer anymore afterwards.
So I totally agree with Kungen, nothing has changed and there is no reason to come back yet.
I do agree with everything you said. As someone who has played from Vanilla to BFA(excluding MOP). You had to invest time to earn things in Classic/TBC. Those were probably my most fun pvp days. From WOTLK things got progressively easier and dare i say that the game became a shadow of its former self.I will probably check out the new xpacs, but i don't have high hopes. The last time xpac i played was BFA and after just a month or two i became bored and decided to quit
thats why 4 versions of WoW exist. i dont care about classic nor have i ever played classic, i enjoy retail only because of the pve and class mechanics. idc about mounts or pets and stuff. i want a cool character and challenging content which requires mechanical skill and knowledge. I feel like wow now is more like a ARPG MMO, new Season with "gear resets", which i like and ive returned 4 months ago and play everyday and im hyped for the new patch and season with a new main. just a retail players oppinion
They release a 3 expansion timeline to please all the investors... They need to promise how much great content is coming up.
i don't think investors have that sort of vision, was probably a metzen decision.

Classic+ was never imagined as a bastardized Ascension WoW at least not anywhere I looked. In-game, Reddit, Discord nobody wanted Ascension WoW.
@@isaacfaith9369 If you knew Ascension WoW than you knew that this is not even close to Ascension WoW. Ascension is completely classless, so you can combine abilities from other classes etc which is not possible here.
Also Ascension wow is heavy PVP loot gameplay, which is also not what SoD is.
The only thing in common is that you can collect some abilities but as far as know in Ascension you have to collect almost all abilities/spells.
I mean I don't know if that will be good but all the #nochanges Andys can stay on Era/HC and keep playing there, nobody cares.

well I think people like classic for Its gameplay and overall feel, I do not think that those people will welcome massive changes to gameplay. Classic players wanted expansion of content, like new raids and dungeons, maybe something to do with onpen world pvp, new zones (without adding new levels, you can make other things to look for or level in those zones) which would not invalidat the old ones, not fundamental change of gameplay. This feels like changes made for retail players not classic players. But maybe I am wrong and It will be the most popular thing ever and played for years and years, but somehow I do not think so.
